I was charged double for my car rental and AVIS refuses to refund me half. At the beginning, I waited 2.5 hours to get my car in Chicago. I was assured by an AVIS agent I would only pay a one day rental when returning the car the next day (using the key drop). I have spent a total of 3 hours trying to resolve this. Everyone I have talked to has said there is nothing that can be done. $250/ day for the car was a lot I thought, now it's over $500 for one day. Come on AVIS, make your money by proving good honest service, not by ripping people off. read more

From picking up my keys to driving out took less than 5 minutes... it helps to be a member of their Preferred program (as well as being at a smaller location)... I'm wondering if Kat P's inventory problem was because they were saving their cars for loyalty members. I can't speak to her service, but I received great, prompt friendly service, and they had a decent selection of cars for their size. I would definitely rent from Avis in GRR again. read more

Aweful experience, made reservation and when I got there the lady at the front desk says I have nothing available but there was about 15 cars parked outside. I showed her my reservation number and she said you can come back tomorrow if you want. She didn't even try to help me knowing how badly I needed the car. She stayed sitting behind the desk licking her fingers eating some food and didn't even acknowledge my reservation email and continued to tell her I don't have anything for you call later maybe I will. aweful attitude and terrible customer service she didn't even give me her name. Tall blond American lady with blue eyes. I even left and made another reservation at a later time returned and she said I told you I did not have anything as she rolled her eyes while I was calling my ride to come back and pick me up. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Cheap prices which is good but it comes with a price bad customer service. read more
