Definitely a good one for the…read morekids, but I'd get a spot close to the playground and pool because they are weird about parking by the pool. We were all the way at the other end of the campground and it's a pretty long walk back to the store/pool. First of all we met a guy outside who said he was "just the guy on the golf cart" but he gave off very rude vibes. Like when we asked if we can park by the pool he said "we would especially like it if you parked at your campsite".. in a very rude way. The lady showed us where we can park though, so that was nice. He also made a big deal about me getting $100 cash back and acted like he had to charge me a ton, when it was only $3. Honestly if I based this place on his attitude alone I would not come back. I really hope he is not the owner. I bought like 6 slim Jim/cheese sticks and ate maybe 5 between everyone in my campsite and realized when I got home that they were expired!! So gross! Like why not check your expiration dates?? But the pool and showers were VERY NICE for a campground. They have some very cool activities on weekends. The river access is AMAZING and the river wasn't flowing fast so we were able to use an inflatable kayak and just go up and back down the river instead of parking a car somewhere else. The porta potty is super spidery and cobwebby so that was disappointing. They need to spend more time keeping them clean!! Mini golf looked nice but costs $3 a person. That's dumb to me since it's something we assumed came with the cost! Also, you have to pay a deposit on literally everything. $10 to be able get a key fob to get back in the locked gate after hours. I think that is ridiculous. And $2 just for the code to get in the pool. Why wouldn't they just leave it unlocked?? Very strange power dynamic at this campground. It feels like they think they own you while you are camping here. I felt like a child with parents watching over me. Also, the noise ordinance is NOT enforced. I didn't mind, but some with little babies in tents might. It is VERY LOUD in tents at night. This is an extremely crowded campground, small sites. Lots of traffic throughout the day because the pool and store is such a far walk. Bathrooms are a far walk from most sites Overall, I would come here again. It's very well kept and we didn't get very dirty at all!

Too cold for canoeing in mid October but we don't usually go out for that anyway. Some very distant traffic noise that is not a problem. A very big rug might be challenging for some but I parked my 41' RV with 22' trailer attached. I took advantage of the "pay for three nights and the fourth is free" deal which makes it a great value also. Stay up top near the office for the best experience. Some sites on the river are trashy and trailers look abandoned. We'll be back.

My son has a slip and fall at the pool, we had to rush to ER and he received 10 stitches on his face. It was a rush sending him to the hospital, we headed straight home after that, who would have any mood for vacation after that. When we came back to pick up our camper, I was told by other campers there that there was another gentleman has the same slip and fall like my son at the pool, and he too received a huge laceration on his face. Think twice before you book here.

I want to start with the positives and then move onto the negatives…read more Pros: I think Cannonsburg is a nice place for beginners and locals. The ticket counter and ski/boot rental process was super easy. The prices were very reasonable. The beginner slope was perfect for my 5 year old. Cons: As many others have mentioned, the parking lot is atrocious. The bathroom stalls are so tiny and not very clean. The snack area (not the restaurant) was okay. Basic food options. Staff appeared to be unenthusiastic about being there. Also, I have only been to a handful of ski resorts in my life. However, the ski lifts do not have a safety bar on any of the lifts. I felt like I was holding on for dear life. The distance from the beginner slope to the far right ski lift was pretty far and exhausting to get to. Overall, it's nice to have a local spot to ski. And I would not mind trying the tubing. I am sure that people have complained about these things over the years like parking and bathrooms ... but I don't think this place really cares. I think they are more like "take us as we are"! So this place isn't fancy but it is what it is.

It was nice as a family of five, but there was enough beds for all of us to sleep there two queens and then a couch pull out that two more could sleep on. The water at the pool was cold so none of the kids wanted to swim in there and then there wasn't even a hot tub to get warm in from the cold pool so that was a bust. They also do not serve breakfast at 6 AM. The ice machines that they had you could either fill up your cups or the bucket for the room to put ice in. The bathroom just had a shower. Next time if I stay there, I will remember to bring my own breakfast stuff since our competition was at 7 AM and we need breakfast before we left.
