I enjoyed his, kind, and respectful services. Not only did he give top notch customer service. (I own 2 business throughout O.C. AND KNOW THE IIMPORTANCE OF GOOD C.S ) He upgraded my Vehicle at no cost and after I brought the car back it had accured several charges during which they were correct ..,but Luis told me that he would help me with them. i'm very happy with Luis, he had me in and out so fast I couldn't beleive it. This location added bogus fees and lied about fuel level to charge me an extra $80 after drop off. They have a key drop box at the location and have that listed as a service on their website, but if you plan to drop off the car after hours (which Avis policy explicitly allows at locations with drop boxes) they will take that as an opportunity to add in additional charges. Those costs are already part of the rental through the next day (again, per Avis policy). Please see photos of policy from their own website attached. Worst experince ever. I return the vehicle Dec 20 2025 but they didn't close my contract. when i check my account they hold my account for 2,666.24 just for 1 day rent. I called them they said they will refund my money but until this day January 15, 2026 they didn't return my money. i try to call them hundred times but the only thing they can say is sorry. I've rented here twice and both times have been more frustrating than ever. First time he was late and we were waiting 20 mins for him. Okay not a big deal, until the 2nd time. He ran our credit report (for a rental car??) and the car was completely filthy! Plus we were supposed to drop it off at 8am, he didn't even arrive until 8:20! read more

Like many of the other reviews here, I was faced with extremely horrific customer service. For context, I had came in to rent, and when informing front desk member Luis that I was younger than 25 (I'm 24) and wanted to see what my options were, he just looked me dead in the eye, responded with "There's nothing much I can do for you then" in an irritated tone, and stared at me. This for one, was completely wrong, as all he needs to do is just charge me for a young driver fee. He did not even BOTHER to give me any options or information about the cars available. The only reason i was able to rent the car that I desperately needed that day was because of the nice older gentleman who had stepped in to tell me that they DID in fact have a car ready for me. It's quite apparent there's some underlying issue causing this kind of behavior, and if someone doesn't have the common decency to do the bare minimum of their job, then maybe it's time they find a different profession where their personal misery doesn't bleed into their work. This isn't a one-off situation either, it's a clear pattern based on the reviews for this store, and it's something that seriously needs to be addressed So, if you happen to run into Luis, and are under 25 expect to be treated differently. read more

THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF. THIS AVIS LOCATION is the location I had my rental agreement with. That rental agreement had me drop off the car at a location that did not have an actual Avis check-in desk. Even though Avis **GAVE ME THAT ADDRESS** and it is on the rental agreement, I apparently didn't have the correct "status" with Avis for Avis to actually go pick up the car at that location - the one THEY GAVE ME TO DROP OFF THE CAR. So they charged me for all the days it took them to go get the car. I have talked to TWO people and now have to wait 5-7 days for customer service. They want receipts for when I refueled the car and my hotel and flight information as evidence of when I returned the car. I don't care how much more another rental car place is, that is a BETTER DEAL than dealing with this idiocy. read more

I told him everything is good except when I picked up the car on Friday it was not very clean water spotted on the car and mirrors barely see outside. Do you know what he said to me . I know the car was cleaned, this is not a car wash place to dry off the car for you. I Suggested you to take it to car wash place. I said at least dry the mirror so we can see better. He said to me, I need to complain to the city about the water. What does it have to do with the city? What the F***this is not how you talk to your customer when we have some contributions to pay your pay check. Booked and paid for car with GPS. When picking up the car, there were no vehicles with a GPS at this location in San Diego. Pick up time at noon, the office closed at noon, so no time for anything but to hand over the keys and goodbye! The staff just wanted to leave.. The vehicle had an empty tank and had not been cleaned. As visiting from out of state, need GPS. Have been trying to get hold of anybody at Avis for help without success. No issue with the car. My issues are .. #1, when we picked up the rental, the exterior was filthy and was obvious that the car was not washed. The hood and roof were the telltale signs. The interior was marginally cleaned. #2 when we returned, we mentioned how we liked our experience and we told Luis that we happy with the rental except that we weren't overjoyed that the car wasn't washed Luis told us that it had been washed and we assured him that it hadn't. And then we mentioned that the windows were severely spotted as well. And his response was that we should bring that complain up with the city of Anaheim because they don't dry the cars after they wash them. This doesn't use soft water, deionized water or even a leaf blower to dry the vehicles. Again, Luis told us that we should have taken the rental to a car wash to wash the car and to make our complaints to the city of Anaheim. In all fairness, Anaheim does have very hard water but that does excuse the rudeness and the lack of adequate response to the complaint over cleanliness. read more

Almost like it bothered him that I was asking general questions. There was an older white personal - he seemed nice and fairly informative but the bearded guy just has zero people skills. I never really thought about reading a review for a car rental place because let's face it... You rent a car, and you go do your thing. Now that I'm reading these reviews, I am compelled to post my own. I also have a video of the confrontation as I feared they were going to do something sketchy. Let's start with the rental process, it was easy. I showed up, gave them my account info and I was in the presidential circle. I asked for 4-wheel drive as I was heading up in the snow. He gave me my keys and I was on my way. I went out on the lot, and the car was blocked by a bunch of other cars when I went back inside to ask them how to proceed. They gave me an attitude "why didn't you ask the guys back there to move it for you?" I continued to point at the two guys J - walking across the street... "you mean those two guys?" The guy behind the counter continued to sigh and went out back. When I finally was able to free up the car... I did my inspection of the vehicle, and I noticed scratches, and how dirty the car was and it already sustained substantial damages to the trunk (bulging from the trunk). Dirt, you could barely see out of the window when the seam beams down on it. I also noticed the gas wasn't full at all, so I went back inside as the contract says that you need to fill the tank or they charge you 10 dollars a gallon. So I addressed it to the gentlemen in the front and he said "Read your contract and do what it says". A little flabbergasted, not that I feel any reason to be "entitled", I wouldn't even talk to my own family like that nonetheless a customer, but also someone in their "President's Circle" is kind of a joke. I just sucked it up and took photos before driving off a lot of the damages and the gas tank and the dirty windows to protect myself if they tried to charge me for those damages. 3 days go by and it's time to return the vehicle! I pull up to the lot, and I remember this gentleman by name (Chris) because the interaction was even more egregious. I pulled up to the side as the lot was small, and I asked where should I park the car. his response "Anywhere but F*&$ing there, are you stupid?" you'd think I'd be making this up, but I started recording at that point because it was uncalled for whether or not he was having a bad day. It was a simple and polite question. He proceeded to walk away "I don't know what the F*$& is wrong with people these days, f*$&ing dumb@$%" ... At that point, I had my employee with me and he was just looking at me with secondhand embarrassment. I went inside to return the keys, and there was a line of customers... I also have that on video, people saying "I feel like I've been scolded by my dad", and "Do you know what the process to return it, he was yelling at me and I want to get it done so I can get out of here". It is clear that management does not care about this place, nor do they know how to properly train for customer service. I could make an excuse and say he had a bad day, but judging from reviews, it sounds like he's had plenty of bad days. Such a shame they don't let you post videos on Yelp. read more

Been to this location for couple times. They don't have the cars that they say they have. Never pre pay. I came in there few times and saw patrons and staff arguing over rental agreements. I seen people walk out due to dishonest quotes. Don't use this or budget! read more

Because Avis and Budget are run by the same people, I figured this review for Budget customer service would also apply to Avis: Customer service? Non-existent. It was extremely upsetting to see how they treated my father, an elderly veteran, and this out-of-town gentleman on vacation with his family. Neither person had ever rented a car before, and both had questions for the attendants, whose job it is to assist, right? This was news to them because they appeared irritated. They were brief and curt in their responses, adding little value in terms of assistance. Sure, the gentleman from out of town was on the late train, trying to rent a car less than a week before Christmas, but the associate could have helped by asking a few simple questions: 1. Where will you be staying? 2. Where do you plan on going while you're in town? Then making recommendations for alternative modes of transportation. For example, if the client is on a Disney vacation and staying in a local hotel and simply wants to be able to get to nearby restaurants and activities, inform him that most things are within walking distance (perhaps even making restaurant recommendations) and, if he really needs a ride, suggest Uber and Lyft as alternatives. These conversations could have gone a million different ways, but it bothers me seeing my dad and others being treated like they're an inconvenience. read more

Please be careful when renting a car here or any rental place. Make sure your tires are not bald and have enough tread on it. Make sure there is no red tag put on a vehicle before taking it. They rented me a jeep wrangler which had a red tag (out of service or needs service) didn't know until I returned it back from our trip, once on the freeway (mind you we was heading to Vegas) mid way to Vegas we encountered the "death wobble" uncontrollable shaking while driving on the freeway. All the said was we are sorry and here's a 3 day voucher for putting g your family's life in danger. read more

Rented a car for a road trip we had over Thanksgiving week. Ended up getting a higher grade car than what we requested for the same price. Pick-up and Drop-off were simple in and out. Keep in mind the lot at this location is very small and driveway very narrow. If you being driven here you will have to get out curbside or walk across the street here from the 7-11. read more

First experience with Avis/ budget, probably the last. I booked through Costco and the rate just unbearable so I gave it a try. We requested pickup from hotel then got to their location vary quickly. The front desk was ok and efficient (too efficient). Transaction was done in 5 minutes, shorter than the overall waiting time. The insurance, the walk around and all other confirmation things that I normally go through with other rental car companies, this place skipped. We got directed to parking lot then pick up on our own. It was freshly sprinkled with water (consider washed?!). Interior carpet was vacuumed but cereals, crackers and coffee stains were on cup holders and seats. Life is imperfect so we let it be. Even the cost on paper was $2 more than the booking price. We had plan changed so I called the customer service to extend for few hours. Again, life is not perfect. When we return the car, the cost on receipt was off. Guy on counter couldn't help because request was made on phone. He told me to call customer service. It causes so much more troubles even my trip is over. I ended up disputed the differences with my credit card. Final advice: beware and think twice. read more

Busy location since they are close to Magic Kingdom, but I always get taken care of by Olga and Yessica. They are very friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of cars including Mustangs and Tahoes. I come to this location all the time so if your staying at hotel it's very convenient. They are open early too. read more

Went to switch out a car that I rented at a different location d/t a problem. Got to deal with the most passive aggressive agent of the company. He felt the issue was mine. I was trying to just let the little snide comments go as I was with my kids. I let him know I didn't feel safe in the car especially with having my kids with me. He let me know there wasn't any cars at all on a lot full of cars to help me with and I could wait until later time or head over to another location. I kept my mouth shut and just came back. I ended up with a car smaller than what I originally had rented, dirty, with an empty tank. I was pissed to say the least but so ready to get myself and my babies home. I was so over it. Never again with Avis especially this location. This guy had a point to prove and I guess I was the one he had to prove it. read more

Before my rental started, I wanted to add a day. The rental service hotline wanted to charge me $70 MORE than it would have been if I had just made a brand new reservation online. I spent hours trying to get to someone who would let me extend my reservation for the same price as online without an additional $50 fee to cancel and create a new reservation. Then the man at the front desk tricked me into purchasing rental insurance by saying "I had to pick one". When I pointed out that the contract stated it was optional, he refused to fix it until the next day because he was closing the store (15 minutes early). I had to come back the next day which made my 3 hours late to the start of my vacation. The charges were held for 3 days, so I was out $223 during my trip. The desk staff at this location were very rude. I spent way too much time calling customer service trying to fix the problems I was facing. The car was never cleaned out. They just hosed it off and gave it to us wet. I had to clean dirt , food, and make up off of the seats, dash, and doors the inside myself and my husband had to clean all of the windows because he couldnt see through them when he drove off the lot. When we checked the tire pressure, one was low. We discovered there was a nail in the tire and had to take it to be patched. Which took another hour and a half out of our vacation. I have used Avis before and I have never had such a terrible experience. I will never be going back to Avis, especially not the one on Katella in Anaheim! read more

Stay away from this company . A month ago I rented a car in Spokane, WA and drove for couple days. I paid full amount at return, car was in the same condition. However, a month later I am getting 2 separate letters with $125 charge in each. One was for cleaning fee and another one for some mud they found in my car . They were claiming it is my responsibility to clean and wash the vehicle. It's ridiculous, because car was very clean and in great condition since only 2 people were in it. Next , none of those transactions were authorized by me, no evidence were provided since it took them 30 days to bill me . Again it could be anyone driving that vehicle after me . SCAM and FRAUD that's what I reported to my bank . Will never use this company ever again . THEY ARE STEALING MONEY !!! read more

I reserved a compact car from Avis thru Costco for about $20 a day with unlimited miles which is always the cheapest way to go. I was driving to Vegas and needed something efficient yet comfortable. They gave me the smallest shadiest car they had. I drove it for 3 minutes and said, yeah, no. Took it back to the guy and said, this is not what I reserved (Ford Focus or similar), he goes well you reserved a small car with 4 doors. This thing barely had a trunk! I said look I know you're playing games, although I was in a hurry and didn't wish to argue with him. Why are you downgrading me, I asked? He had a Toyota Corolla (most boring car ever) but refused to give it to me because it's technically an intermediate, not compact, and the only one he had. He said are you going to be near any airport, I said yeah probably. He said well you can exchange it there. I took it to McCarron Airport on Saturday noon and exchanged it for the right size and added the extra driver. They were out of compact and midsize so I got a full size, Dodge Charger which was a comfortable ride and nice car to cruise around and drive back to OC in. Sweet. This is what happens when people do their job correctly. Since I had to add an extra driver later I said OK I'll do this, but would not have accepted it otherwise. Avoid this location if you can. They also close super early most days (4pm), so returning is a pain. read more

This is our second time using this location. The first time was ok - the guy that helped us didn't have much of a personality at first but by the end, he had kinda warmed up. However, the car we had gotten was dirty. They don't take too much care in washing and vacuuming their cars. But this last time going to this location will definitely be our last time! The little guy behind the counter needs a little refresher course on customer service. He was very unpleasant when we picked up the car. Real pushy about the extra insurance coverage - and when we looked over the car, he mentioned the no smoking / no dogs policy. We mentioned that there seemed to already be dog hair in the car, which I might add, the car was very dirty inside and out. He got a little defensive and kept saying "show me, show me". We asked to have the car vacuumed and he said their guy was out and we'd have to wait about 20 mins. We didn't wait. I just decided to take the car to a car wash to get it cleaned properly. But still weren't able to get all the dog hair and long blonde hair. It was so gross!! It's one thing to overlook crappy customer service, but we'd at least hope for a clean car. Don't use this location or Avis period. This location routinely allows individuals to rent vehicles using stolen credit information an Id's. When I went in with my police report to report it to the location the employee said its normal an nothing to be concerned about. An yet the location has 0 cameras inside the store to allow the police to catch these criminals. They ran my American Express 1200 over its limit somehow but its no big deal apparently it happens all the time there. I never even rented a vehicle there. The police said my card was scanned somewhere an duplicates were made. Then they stole the Tahoe they rented from Avis to use for God knows what but again no big deal. Thanks avis read more

Absolute garbage. They don't check their cars and will just kick you out the door without letting you inspect the car.
