    We were directed here by roadside assistance to do a drive up and switch cars since our rental from California was not "winterized" & caused our windshields to freeze in these CO temperatures. The ladies here were very accommodating, after they gave us another vehicle, we realized our stuff won't fit since it is smaller than the original car we had... they changed the car with no problem. Somewhere along the swapping of cars, we left important keys in the middle console. I called upon realizing that we left it & requested to have the car checked but they said they have to wait for the cleaning crew to turn in anything. Long story short, the next day, I called to follow up & sure enough, they found our keys. I asked how to go about shipping those to us and a lady by the name of Kim Dirker said she would FedEx it to us, we covered shipping. She shipped it to us the next day. THANK YOU SO MUCH KIM FOR GOING ABOVE & BEYOND & DOING THAT FOR US! Car rental places need more people like you!

    This is a one man operation here. About 5 miles in from the 147 East. I don't know how this lone guy survives but he managed to so far. Well the counter is in the terminal at the airport. It's to your left as you walk in to the double door. He's efficient but needs to smile more :) but he provided us with good service. That's all that matters!

Apparently, SIXT changed the hours at this location after be booked our vehicle. I was worried since our pickup time appeared to be after the updated close time, and a Sixt customer service rep noted that we were going to come before the new close time to pick up the car. Irving (who I believe is the general manager of this location) took time to personally call me ahead of the rental and assure me that they would remain open for us to pick up at our original time. We adjusted our schedule as best we could, but we still arrived after the updated close time. Sure enough, Irving was personally there to help me (the airport and every other counter was EMPTY!). He was incredibly helpful as well - the Sixt website wasn't working properly for us, so he came out to log all the damage on the car before sending me on my way. He was also really nice and upgraded our car which I really appreciated - it's the nicest rental car I've ever driven, hands down. On top of all this, since we're dropping off at a different airport location, he personally made sure I found the right location and also mentioned the logistics and timing there to make sure we won't miss our flight. White glove service with a smile. You have a happy customer here, and I plan to give you my business again.

    We rented a car here on a Wednesday in April 2022…read more Most flights from Denver to Aspen had been canceled due to adverse weather. Eagle airpory was the best alternative we could find. When we called the Alamo national phone number to change our reservation from Aspen to Eagle, they quoted us $123 for two days, with return to Aspen.  We got to Alamo Eagle, and they had to search for the reservation. They found it, and quoted $123, plus booster seat rental.  Leaving, quoted price was over $1200, but only my wife heard the guy say that, and she thought she may have heard it wrong. We left in a nice Nissan Rogue.  While were driving away, the guy from Alamo Eagle called us back. After a couple of tries to get a good cell signal, he explained the situation.  He had been out of one-way rentals, so the one-way surcharge rang up as $1000. He adjusted it to $250, the standard one-way fee, because the phone reservation had granted the reservation.  That's not as good as waiving the one-way fee entirely, but it's certainly better than $1200. And calling us after we had left was definitely solid customer service. The car worked well. Drop-off in Aspen was no hassle, but nothing to do with this location. By the standards of car rentals in general (and in particular an incident on Kauai where we ended up in arbitration to remove unauthorized charges), this was pretty much as good as it gets. I think they earned a five star "as good as it gets".

I'm legitimately worried that someone is going to get in an accident on steep terrain out here because this company is telling drivers to ignore deadly mechanical problems. -- -- -- I rented a car from their affiliated location (Thrifty/Budget) at Denver International Airport. While driving down from the Eisenhower Tunnel and Vail Pass, the car started to malfunction; it started shuddering and wobbling while braking at high speeds. I'm an experienced mountain driver who doesn't abuse their brakes on inclines (I downshift), and this worried me, because such shaking indicates brake wear that makes the car unsafe to drive. The car also shook A LOT on small bumps, which led me to believe the vehicle's rotors had warped so badly that the car's suspension was now affected. We got to our destination and I called to see if I could get a replacement car, because this Gypsum location was the closest to us. The customer service rep was indignant and said, to my horror, that "it's normal for cars to have that problem coming down the pass." I insisted that it's not, and she gave in and said she could get us a different vehicle. When I arrived the next day to change out the car -- which was technically drivable, but felt sketchy -- the counter attendant had the same response. "It's normal for cars to shudder like that going down the pass." Then, appallingly, she tried to insist that I FILL THE CAR WITH GAS or I'd be charged the full amount ($10.99 per gallon). To say I was gobsmacked!!! I traveled more than an hour out of my way, on my vacation, in an unsafe car to return it to the location FOR THEIR CONVENIENCE, and they tried to tell me to go to Costco to refill the gas tank, wasting even more of my time. The level of entitlement and rudeness I faced from the women at this agency was honestly shocking. I've never had such a negative customer service interaction. I've lived in and around CO for the better part of 25 years, having only recently moved away. I've also maintained my own brake pads and rotors, and have also NEVER had my car shudder and wobble while braking downhill. I understand that inexperienced mountain drivers probably wear out these cars faster than they would otherwise. In that case, sucks to be Hertz, but they need to increase rental cost to make up for increased maintenance -- NOT INSIST ON CUSTOMERS KEEPING UNSAFE CARS. -- -- -- Thrifty/Dollar out of DIA is affiliated with this Hertz. I will NEVER be renting from any of these companies again. Either the corporate office is directing their field agencies to keep poorly maintained cars in circulation, or this office has gone rogue because they don't want to deal with customer complaints. Either way, someone's going to end up dead because of this "shuddering brakes are normal" narrative, and it won't be me or my family. Please also don't let it be you.

    WARNING ABOUT THIS LOCATION -- READ BEFORE RENTING…read more I rented a car from Thrifty/Dollar at Eagle County Airport and was wrongfully hit with a $150 "odor removal fee" despite returning the vehicle early, clean, and with a full tank. I do NOT smoke and there was absolutely no odor in that car. What made this worse was the way staff handled it: * Katrina (licensee rep) yelled at me on the phone, cut me off repeatedly, and was extremely disrespectful. * Rachel (General Manager) did nothing to help or correct the situation. * Tyler (Cleaning Manager) was listed as part of the decision to falsely claim an odor. Hertz corporate later reviewed the case and confirmed the location was wrong -- saying the franchise "strongly disapproved of the odor removal fee" and apologizing for the behavior I experienced. But because this location is independently owned, they refused to refund me even though corporate agreed the charge was inappropriate. I've had to file a BBB complaint, an Attorney General complaint, and a bank dispute because of this location's unethical behavior. If you value your time, your money, and basic respect -- avoid this rental office.

So, make sure to take photos of the damages before you leave and make sure to point it to them. A chipped on the windshield is already there when we picked up the car, I took a picture of the other damages but I forgot to take a picture of the windshield chipped because they parked the rental car in front of arrival area (so we were told to move right away) I was busy entering my destination so I forgot totally. But as soon as I got in the car I noticed the chip already. Big mistake to not take a picture of it right away but got distracted. I don't recommend this place. Dishonest company and sure you will get your karma. Lesson learned: TAKE PHOTOS OF ALL DAMAGES PRIOR TO LEAVING THE RENTAL PLACE!
