Today I went to the Pope Street Branch of Avidia Bank on some Hudson MA Pickleball business. Mary Ann and Twan (I hope I am spelling your name properly) were extremely helpful. I had every intent to write a review because of the excellent service I received. I left the bank and walked about 35 mins when I realized I had lost my new IPhone. It must have slipped out of my pocket. I retraced my steps all the way back to the bank. Two Avidia employees (I am sorry I didn't get your names) found my phone in the mulch outside the Bank and had given it to Twan. In the time it took me to walk back to the Bank Twan had unlocked my ICE notification number; Mary Ann called and told my husband that the Bank had my phone. They were about to go out onto Main Street to see if they could find me. When I returned to the Bank there was a celebration by the employees and I was ecstatic. I am reporting Avidia HSA to SEC today. I have been trying for two months to get assistance to use funds from my HSA for COBRA payments. A valid, authorized expense, each time I call I spend 30-45 minutes they cannot help. My logins do not work and cannot reset login info. They say there is an issue with their website. So sorry. They say they will send a form by email to close account and get funds, of course the form never comes. Call back - start over- another 45 minutes of total frustration - polite but useless. I only have under 4,000.00 in the account. But I imagine they must have a lot of funds that go unused, no way to access your funds. I have documented all calls and will file today. Including the made-up names of customer service personnel, Sparkle, really? I know I won't ever be able to access my funds but I can at least notify my previous employer and the SEC. This organization is a scam. read more

Avidia manages Healthcare Savings Accounts (HSA) for people/clients. Their policy (verified by their VP of Operations) is to withhold payments for valid healthcare purchases, even though it is not the banks responsibility to verify the validity of disbursements. Instead, they require that you follow a long process to be reimbursed by check, which allows Avidia to keep your money longer. Quite questionable integrity. read more

Hudson branch - Went in to cash in change yesterday & wow! Half the staff acted like they were being seriously put out! I get it, it's probably a pain, BUT employees actually rolling eyes, heavily sighing & practically throwing my bags at me angrily is out of line. I've been dealing with Avidia Bank personally and with my business for 25+ years and overall I like them. I don't care for the Northborough branch though. They act very unfriendly and question every thing, like you are doing something dishonest. Clinton is great, Hudson on Main St. is good. The debit card issuance is extremely annoying! If your debit card stops working you have to wait 10 days to get a new one in the mail.I am also noticing lately that their hours of operation are less and less. Thursdays and Fridays were always opened to 6, now it's just Thursdays. The rest of the days are open to 4 only. Also if we get a tiny bit of snow they don't open. We literally have only wet roads today and it is barely snowing and I drove over to make a deposit and they weren't open...RIDICULOUS! read more

I can not Thank Avidia Bank in Westborough and Hudson Branches enough for All they did for me. I was applying for the PPP Loan and could not do the Transactions on my computer. I was in constantly communication with Marcy Silva as she bent over backwards for me to get this loan. Then Katarina K took me thru the steps of the application which was challenging for me. I have had many different HSA accounts and Avidia is by far the worst in customer service. Every time I call for HSA help I a put on hold for up to an hour then I usually hang up or have to leave a message and am never called back. Took 2 months to transfer my account to another firm because I could not reach them. Also took forever to get my tax documents as they did not send them automatically. Would not recommend. read more

I don't have any accounts here but it is a great place to cash avidia checks as a non customer. Super helpful and speedy. Joseph at drive up was kind and efficient. He ran the cash out to me to keep the line moving and make my visit more convenient for me as well as the other customers in line. A great option if you're still worried about going inside places but you don't want to spend all day in line. read more

I was approved for a loan on a new Solar system and I was offered a .5% discount if I set up an account with Avidia for automatic payments. I went online and followed the steps to open an account with Avidia. I received a confirmation email from them, with a confirmation number. After that, nothing. I called the bank and got put into voicemail. Since I was having a problem I needed to speak to a live person, so I called back and got put into somebody else's voicemail. I called back 10 more times. When I finally got a live person on the phone she was very rude and not helpful at all. It was not worth trying to save a half a percent with this bank. I would not trust them with my money. read more

Opening a checking account at Avidia bank is an absolute great experience. The customer service assistants are awesome, very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They explain all options to you, and gear the account toward your specific needs. If i had to rate the starts on their services- they'd get all 5 stars. To get a mortgage loan through Avidia, however, is not such a great experience. The loan officer is most often times inaccessible, unavailable, and delayed in responses to your inquiries. If you are going through the mortgage loan process for the first time, they do not explain things to you thoroughly (like the customer service assistants do) and they don't get back to you if you have questions that need answers. Although I love Avidia for their online banking/checking accounts.. I can't say I feel the same way about the loan process. Therefore overall Avidia Bank, to me, is 3/5 stars... read more

My wife and I just closed on a new HELOC with Avidia. Fernando Ferreira and his team provided outstanding customer service. They were knowledgeable, accessible and responsive to questions and helped us negotiate the sometimes confusing process with patience and respect. As a business customer with an almost ten-year relationship with Avidia, I can say that there is no better bank in regards to customer service. You work with the same people who respond to your emails within 30 seconds on snow days, give out their cell phones, and threat you like you are their number one priority. I do everything remotely, including deposits, so there is really no need to make a physical trip to the branch. There were a few instances when I needed a cashier's check right away, and the VP of Commercial Lending Tom Allain actually brought this check to my office. Another time he sent the branch manager to do the same thing. How amazing is that? Bottom line, if you are technologically savvy and are looking for a modern and hip bank that offers extraordinary customer service, go for Avidia. read more
