Punctual, friendly, knowledgeable and gave us several tips to keep our lawnmower in good working condition for the future.

This guy Tony is the best. Really nice to chat with with, on time. Called me to let me know when he was a few minutes away so i would be ready for him. I have used Tony twice now to fix my mower and my pressure washer as well. Super happy with seeing him knowing that my mower was gonna be good to go in a bit ya know. Hey guys, dont use old gas and let your mower sit like i did, gotta start it every two weeks or so an let it run a minute to maximize the work he does. read more

I had this gentleman fix my lawnmower today. He was right on time and quickly set up to repair my old mower in my driveway. Not only did he fix it, as he repaired my mower, he explained what he was doing and showed me how to troubleshoot any further issues. I had replaced my air filter and spark plug and I thought my carburetor was the issue. It was not. My mower typically took 10-12 pulls to get it started. After it was fixed, it took a low effort pull to get it started. He also sharpened my blades for me. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. I highly recommend him if you need any small engine repair or service. read more

Mr Avery is the Man! I've had my Honda HRN216 For about 6 years and recently noticed a weird high/low pitch noise. Additionally, would shutdown after a few seconds of mowing. I reached out to Mr Avery and diagnosed the issue and it needed a new carburetor. Problem solved! Feels like brand new and can get back to mowing again. I appreciate ya Mr Avery! read more

Tony is the best! Got my mower running like new! Quality work, fair pricing! Highly recommend.

5-star. On time, courteous, very knowledgeable, very quick to diagnose and fix issue. $125 for a visit, but you'd save a lot of time since he comes to the property. Forget having to load the big and muddy mower and waste time driving somewhere. Since a gas mower lasts a long time, I'd say it's very worth it. Will definitely keep his contact if we'll need to sharpen the mower blades or other tune up needs. Now on to the manicured lawn... Oh, also he books up fast. It can be ~2 weeks wait so book early. read more

I called Tony and explained the problem I was having with my mower. He came to my house and repaired/serviced it. Took him about 40 minutes of work and he explained everything to me as he was working on it. He not only did an excellent job but it is apparent that he enjoys it. The mower runs like new. Saved me a trip of hauling it to a shop, dropping it off, and having to then go back for it. A real time saver. Highly recommended! read more

What a great find and experience! Dreaded schlepping my broken mower to the local shop till I found Mr. Avery on Yelp. Wow, home visit mower repair possible--what a concept! Did a couple of repairs a few years ago. though he went to the wrong house, I was looking out for him to arrive, i called him over. He got my lawn mower running pretty fast, lucky for me he had the part. since he was there i asked him if he can look at a couple of pressure washers, he agreed but i could only dig one out. Told me to pay close attention and even had me help in the repair, in no time the washer was up and running. Later when I dug the other washer out I did what he had instructed and to my surprise my washer was up and running again. He was very cool and knew what he was doing and did not mind sharing his knowledge on how to do minor fixes. I learned what he taught me and have repaired my small gas engines and I passed what I know to anyone who wants to learn, I do warn them I'm not an expert but I know enough to keep my stuff running. I may have to call him again because I'm venturing into territory I have no business in and I know when a professional is needed read more

Tony is now my go to lawnmower repair man! I have an old gas mower that was in need of a maintenance service. It had been a long time as it's a pain to load it up and take it to a shop. So when I saw Tony provides mobile service to your home I was excited to give him a try. Boy was I in luck. I feel like I hit the service lottery. He made an appointment for me right away and asked if there is a space where he can park to perform the work. I really appreciated his planning and making sure there are no surprises for either of us. He confirmed our appointment the day before and then called me before he arrived for the appointment. He was so courteous and professional. He did not leave any mess and was very thorough in his service. My lawnmower sounds so much better and was so clean after he left. I already set a reminder for next year to call Tony for service! read more

Wow! Right away, Tony identified my lawn mower's problem and while he was repairing my lawn mower he went over the parts of the lawn mower and what he was doing. Tony's service is so invaluable. Not only did he fix my lawn mower but he provided an educational experience at the same time! I learned about different fuels and how to prevent the lawn mower problem from reoccurring again. Tony treated my lawn mower like it was his own. He cleaned the lawn mower and sharpened the blades at no extra cost. Wow! I recommend Avery Mobile Services to anyone needing a lawn mower repair. It's like paying for 2 things (repair and education) for the price of 1. read more

Tony was awesome in repairing my lawnmower in Redwood City! - When I called him, he was available almost a week earlier than all the other shops & services I contacted. - When he was slightly delayed by traffic, he texted to let me know. - When he arrived, he quickly set up his work table & tools in my driveway & started assessing why my mower. - Within 35 minutes, he'd identified & fixed 5 different problems with my mower. - He gave me clear explanations of what he was doing, what he found, & how I can take better care of the mower myself to either prevent or fix each problem he found. Tony is knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, & very efficient! I'll certainly use this service provider again. :-) read more

Great service! Good communication the day before appointment and messaged he would be pulling up 5 minutes before the appointment. I pulled my trimmer mower to the driveway. He backed in , pulled a small table out of his trunk and got to work. Only took 1/2 hour because he tested the mower on my seriously overgrown lawn and gave me a nice spot to get it started. I would recommend this service without reservation. Will be using this company from now on. read more

Tony has fixed my (now over 20 year old) craftsman lawn mower twice, once about 5 years ago, the second time last week. The first time he stripped it down and cleared out the carburetor. More recently he had to replace the magneto coil. Both times Tony has been friendly, knowledgable and efficient. For the magneto coil, we had to order a part once Tony had diagnosed the problem. Once the part arrived, Tony returned and installed the coil at no additional charge. I highly recommend Avery Mobile Lawnmower Repairs. read more
