So far so good. It was a little confusing at 1st if they services our area. Which they do luckily. My son has had nothing but good things to say about his instructors. They were late the 1st time due to traffic but they still completed his full session. I was nervous because it was his 1st lesson and it was in the evening and with this time change it was almost dark but I guess it's a good thing he got some practice in the dark. I will definitely use them for my youngest son who will need training soon. I do wish they offered a sibling discount. read more

Patrick is currently teaching my mom to drive. I want to note that my mom has never driven before and doesn't speak English. She previously spent a lot of money on private Russian-speaking instructors who taught her nothing and claimed that due to her age, she would not be able to drive at all. Patrick is very easy to understand, even if your English is limited. He is patient, motivates, offers suggestions, and explains mistakes and how to correct them. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the company's treatment of me and my son. My son has autism, and a friend who has a similar case recommended this company to me. First, they have the option to cancel on me anytime, after my son was waiting for them. We began the lessons, and the instructor, Sabino, asked me if I would prefer to sit in the back to feel comfortable. After I agreed, I only went once, I realized that my son was making significant errors. I made the comments after Sabino had given me permission, and he did not appreciate it. He was very confident in his ability to pass the test, but he failed it just two minutes after getting behind the wheel. I felt that my son needed more sessions, so I contacted the company. Letty attempted to convey the impression that I was not welcome because I was a parent who was concerned about my son's well-being. I informed her that she should not engage in such conduct with me. If the company does not value my business, then I do not need to continue working with them. Avers made the entire process pretty easy. We signed up for the online training courses and 7 hour + driving test program. Eduardo was my son's instructor, who was AMAZING. He was always punctual and provided my son with a positive, supportive experience. I can't recommend Eduardo enough, as I truly believe he is the reason why my son passed his test with ONLY 3 mistakes. Technical it was the same mistake, only 3 times. :) Another benefit of Avers is they provided these Subaru small SUVs. Eduardo always came with the same car, which really made a difference as my son was practicing. Consistency was key. My son was able to use that same car on the day of this test, which I believe also contributed to his passing. If you use Avers, ask for Eduardo. He was awesome! read more

I passed my DMV driving exam on the first try and I now have my driver's license!! Amazing Instructors! I can't stop recommending them enough! Lety, the receptionist, is really kind and patient with helping you choose your driving package, scheduling your driving class appointments, and answering any question you could possibly have regarding their services and how the classes work. He very much explains in depth why we do certain things the way we do on the road. My third driving class was all about practicing the possible DMV routes. I used their car/service to take my DMV Exam since I felt I'd be most comfortable in taking the car I used to practice. I was super nervous about driving in traffic but my instructor, Luke, eased my worries and instilled confidence in my abilities from our first lesson. He was professional, patient, informative, and an attentive instructor answering all questions I had. I purchased the 7 hour + driving test package and it was all I needed. I originally was going to take my test at Hawthorne but then changed my mind and decided to go to Torrance and Luke was happy to send me practice routes for both. He also came with the same car each time which helped familiarize myself with the car so there were no surprises on test day. My instructors, Ricky (aka Peanut Butter Rick) and Lucas were amazing! Lucas really explains into detail about safety maneuvers while driving. Peanut Butter Rick exams you as a driver and helps you overcome your fears and weaknesses. I failed my drivers test 3x, and I felt like an embarrassment. When i booked the lessons I requested for their driver instructor to show me an ID to make sure he is the instructor, they said would pick up my daughter. When I asked for a picture ID, he refused and indicated he did not have to show me. He has the instructor license without a picture (really, how do we know that is your license without a picture ). I was not asking to take à picture, just verify his name. I was booking in for 9hrs of lessons and cost over $900, and this guy refused to show me an ID and then ask for payment. Why would i trust giving him my personal credit card info and my put daughter's life in his hands when he was unwilling to prove to me who he is. One word: Wow. I am a bad driver and it took me years to get my license (I just got it 2 hours ago lol). I am so glad I went to this school. I had got my permit in San Pedro and thought I would get my license there... WRONG. I failed so many times. Once I failed twice, I immediately researched schools and found this one! This school uses normal looking cars (no advertising on the cars, and the cars are smooth!) I bought the package with 3 lessons and I had Eduardo as my instructor. HE IS AMAZING. He is straight forward and kind. He did not yell and saw confidence in me. He told me "You should try Torrance Dmv" and I didn't think so because I am not from Torrance. I wanted to do San Pedro! We practiced in San Pedro and I just felt shaky and anxious in that area. (I do not recommend, going there.) I then got extra lessons on the weekend with Angie and wow! She was so amazing. Punctual and Precise. She was very funny too! She helped me with the San Pedro area, and recommended I do Torrance! So this week, I did an extra lesson for the heck of it this week and I got an instructor named Patrick. I had told him I scheduled my test this week because I just wanted to give Torrance Dmv a try. We went to the Torrance area and it was breezy! He helped me every step of the way! Showed me reverse parking, how to do narrow streets, and how to look over my shoulder every step of the way. At the end of the lesson, I can proudly say I was confident. Then the ACTUAL TEST DAY COMES.... I FELT LIKE A BOSS. Everything my instructors told me, was exactly on my test. It was super easy! Torrance DMV has the best instructors! The test felt like 5 minutes! I am now licensed! Yay! Thank you so much to Avers.
