My wife and I worked with Liz on the purchase of our new dream house in Orange County. From the start she was going above and beyond what we were expecting. We called rather suddenly when a property showed up on the market and scheduled to go see it with her. We weren't seriously looking before this. By the time we got to the property she and her team already had a good understanding of the history of the listing and were working comps real time to give us a clear understanding of what fair market value would be. Even adjusting it for what we were seeing in person at the property. We weren't certain if it was more of a buyer's market or a seller's market as it had been a seller's market for so long, but she explained the current conditions/trends of what she was seeing in the area and gave us EXCELLENT advice every step of the way. But she was also never pushy. She ultimately left it up to us to make the decision with the information she provided. We trusted her expertise and it absolutely paid off, literally. We got a deal on the property that we are very happy with. She offered great advice on everything from prices, timing, and even when to potentially walk away. Liz has a team of people that really seem to communicate as a team, not just a group of individuals working under the same company name. In passing conversations Liz talked about how she and her team work together, and it does seem like they get to share in each others expertise and experiences to develop a good understanding of the market. Even with her busy schedule it never really impacted the scheduling of events at our home. She always still met us at the property for events like home inspections, walk throughs, and giving us the keys to the property. She always provided great communication and was very responsive whether it was through e-mail, calls or texts to help answer questions. I can be "particular" (picky) about some things and whenever I brought up a question or concern, no matter how small, she never dismissed it or tried to excuse it as something I didn't need to worry about. She took my concerns seriously and got them addressed. Out of everything, I think this is what I am most grateful for as it kept me comfortable working with her and I never felt like she was just trying to "close a deal", which was my preconceived notion of Realtors unfortunately. I went without running water for almost a month while they insisted it was "getting fixed shortly!" This property has sat vacant for over a year since then, so that doesn't seem to be accurate. Their suggestion while it got fixed? Rent a hotel out of pocket and bill my renters insurance, who would then reach out to and bill theirs (and pay my rent on top of all of that.) After over 30 days of this, I moved out, when I got my deposit back, what did they deduct for? Pressure washing the driveway/garage (you know, with the water that was shut off to prevent damage to the flooring and structure...) when you are renting from someone, timely response, honesty, and follow through are must have items for me, definitely not my experience with this team. If you elect to rent through them, I wish you the best of luck... but for the cost of rentals in southern California, check review sites (check a few, and check the last names on those 5 star reviewers!) And make sure you're going to get someone who will take care of you and values your contribution to their organization.
