've been a loyal client of Vida for years and years. I've sent countless people to you and even…read moretoday referred a group of colleagues from the US coming to Whistler to you in the fall. Today, while spending $250++ on a one hour massage I was asked to leave as I sat in the sauna. I appreciate Vida sharing re timing and your agreement w the hotel (60 mins and only pre services?) but honestly, it just hit wrong and I left feeling upset and with a pit in my gut, embarrassed and frankly pissed off. May I respectfully recommend you revisit this as all COVID mandates have been lifted. COVID is not an excuse for a poor experience and to do less. Part of the experience, especially when paying north of $250 for a 60 min massage, is the usage of the facility services. 60 min pre service is frankly rushed. It feels tounge in cheek to sell & advocate self care but to rush people through. While reception was extremely polite they did actually come into the sauna to basically tell me to leave. As a young mom and a busy executive I rarely get time for self care and I'm deeply disappointed in today's experience. Like I said above it just hit all wrong. Ultimately, while it feels right to let you know my honest feedback I know nothing speaks louder than word of mouth and where/ who you choose to give your business. I understand this is your deal w the hotel however there are other great spas in town with great (and frankly better) access to the overall experience which I will be choosing moving forward,

My masseuse used great pressure and used a couple of techniques that I've never experienced before and really enjoyed. Love how this place offers 60-minute massages and not just 50 like others, AND, they're a bit cheaper. Win win!! Another nice perk is being able to use the Fairmont pool/hot tub before/after your service.

This is my second time at the spa and 1st time staying at the lodge . What a beautiful property. We booked into the spa to treat ourselves . We went in early to get our sandals and robes and take advantage of the facilities. We started off in the rooftop Hot Tub which was a bit cooler than usual but with the sunny -2 temperature it was a great start to the day . We then took a break in the fantastic steam room, which was so relaxing . Moving into the relaxation room we enjoyed herbal teas and flavoured water while we waited for our services. I had the Nita Lake Signature service with Katie . A full body salt scrub , followed by a mud wrap. While wrapped up and absorbing the mud you are treated to a fantastic mead massage . Then whisked off to the showers to clean off with your skin feeling buttery soft . Back into the treatment room for an amazing 1 hour full body massage . This is the perfect way to spend a day even if you don't ski .

Im not sure if they have peak pricing or holiday serge charges but we thought a swedish massage would be $200 and when I checked out it was $220. I think the biggest disappointment is that my massage therapist picked me up late and the restroom are in the back so I couldn't use it before hand so I used the restroom before we got started and my massage ended on time so I paid for a 60 minute massage but maybe got 45 minutes of service.

Then the facilities were in much needed repair - the steam room was out of service - wish she would've mentioned it when I booked the appt two hours before showing up, and the tiny locker room was a dump. Then upon exiting my massage, the receptionist asked me to hurry and change so I could come pay because I was the last guest holding her up from leaving. Definitely wouldn't go back.

The walkway was not very well cleaned of snow and for us golden Agers this wasn't a good thing. You check-in after walking a couple hundred yards from where you park, less if you're dropped off at the turnaround. One area going slightly downhill could use a railing for snowy rainy days. You are checked in and given two towels and a rope and a key to a locker. You need to bring a swimsuit and sandals. After changing you are than led to a room for an hour massage. I had asked for a Deep message and what I got was far from that. Very disappointing!!! My wife had the same experience. Next you shower and go to the different outside areas. I started with the cold pool then the hot pool. Next the sauna on to the Eucalyptus room and the Relaxation Solarium. It's a beautiful property and they stress QUITE! The one pool with a waterfall was closed for maintenance. I like the Eucalyptus Room and Solarium the best. After showering, we had a very good lunch. The overall experience was really spoiled by the poor massages!

The therapists knew their stuff and knew how to get at problem areas. Usually spa massages are just okay - this one was worth it. The spa reminded me of places in Iceland - lots of areas to take on different hot and cold therapies and relax in between. It was great to have a silent and digital detox rule to not hear everyone else's conversations. We went on a sunny day which made the hot areas a bit too hot for my personal taste, and nervous about sunscreen sweating off - but I'm not about to complain about being outside in a beautiful area with mountain views. Also very reasonably priced given the quality of the experience.
