It was kind of odd and rather different from the first experience I had. Thought, eh. Maybe just a bad day. I was given a pair of contacts per my appointment but the doctor wanted to order another pair for me to try out before I bought a supply. I called them 3 weeks later wondering if they'd shown up and they were never ordered... Okay, it happens. A few weeks later, I go in to order a supply of contacts and I bring in my glasses to get new lenses. I was driving horses across country in a few months and needed to make sure my eyes were covered on all bases. They were an older pair of frames and knew they risked the chance of getting broken in the switch. Thinking I had plenty of time before my trip, it took them a MONTH to reach out and let me know my glasses, which were still at the lab were broken... a month to let me know that? OKAY... it happens. They said they were waiting to get them back from the lab to assess how to best help me. At this point, I jumped on a quick site and ordered a cheap pair of glasses to get me by. It was another 2 months before they called me and left a message that I got put on a pile of things that were forgotten about.... clearly. A year later, need contacts and will be looking for service else where.

They managed to find 2 trial pairs in my exact prescription! They put together a little bag of contacts, solution and some spare cases in a bag for my brother to pick up on his way down, all completely free! Purchased glasses, and prescription sunglasses. Which is not a cheap purchase. You can customize your glasses. You can add scratch proof, polarize, etc. I added everything expensive to my glasses. You can even pick if you want dark, light, grey, brown, or black lenses for your sunglasses. They have samples for you to look at to decide from there. I got the call that my glasses were ready. My eyeglasses were fine. The sun glasses had lenses put in that I did not pick. It was so light. In fact you could see my eyes perfectly through it. They were basically eyeglasses but with sunglass frames. I showed them what I had ordered, and the re-placed the order and it came back perfect. I was good for months until they got scratched. My sunglasses came with a scratch warranty. I took my glasses the end of last year to have the lenses replaced and use my warranty to replace the scratched ones. The warranty came with my purchase, but I had to pay a small amount to get them replaced with the warranty. The staff placed an order to replace the lenses with the warranty. They came back, and the tint was so dark, I could not see out of them. It was literally limo tint. They were so blacked out that it was like being outside in the dark during daylight while wearing them. I called and spoke with one of the staff and specifically told her I wanted the same lenses that I had before. That's in fact what we were replacing! They then re-ordered. Went and picked up my lenses after they had to re-ordered the lenses again (Because of their error-Not mine) But AGAIN, this was the same limo tint as before. They in fact screwed up again. After calling the doctors office yesterday and telling them the situation. She said she would call me back with an answer. Today she calls me to let me know that they are unable to replace the lenses as they have eaten the cost (their mistake), and that they have replaced the lenses too many times and they can no longer help me with their mistake. But who cares to the customer, who now has glasses they messed up on, who cannot see out of or use. She even advised me to take my lenses to another company, even with their mistake. I have now eaten the cost of prescription sunglasses with this company. I asked to speak with the doctor. I was treated horribly by Dr. Jed. As he said the same thing the girl previously said. I even asked him if I could bring the perfectly scratched up lenses that worked along with the new lenses to show him proof that they are not the same. He said he did not want to see them because he trusts his staff. And they are the experts. Well his "experts" can't see and maybe the doctor that went to college should take a look at them with his own eyes. At this point I was furious. I explained to him, that if he bought a car and it had a warranty, and they came back with a different color, do you think he would like that. He literally wouldn't answer that because he didn't want to fix the situation at all. Maybe he should've went to college on how to treat customers, in addition to optical. Instead of ripping customer off from the company mistake, and owning up. I have included pictures of the lenses as proof they are different. And to remind again, the Dr refused to look at the mistake. The one lens that I'm holding by itself, is the one that I could see out of, that I took in to replace on the warranty. The lenses that are actually in the Ray-Ban's are the ones they are so dark you cannot see out of. That has a lot to say when two out of five reviews are a one star. Thanks Dr Jed & Staff. You guys are a real gem. I will now be reporting it to VSP. Y'all need to check your eyes after seeing the pictures. What a waste of my eaten cost. Don't come to this place for any need. I'd rather jab out my eyes then go again!

The equipment is much more advanced than that of my previous doctor as well. Dr. Solomon was very attentive, thoroughly checked my eyes, and answered all my questions as well as gave an overview of what he found. His professionalism and knowledge were comforting and reassuring! Definitely would recommend this clinic. It is not everyday that you're able to feel comfortable and at home, but this is definitely something that you can find here - along with caring and knowledgeable professionals!

She really tried to make it right and retain me as a patient/customer. I still can't justify more than three stars because it can still be a frustrating experience to go to the Orem Eye Clinic. I feel I spend more money than I can afford every time I go, even with pretty good vision insurance! Whether it's the expensive meibomian gland treatment, the expensive vitamins, or the expensive frames and lenses, it all adds up and I think there are less pricey alternatives that are just as good.
