After some Googling, I came across NEON and decided to call. Teddy answered and immediately scheduled a time to help me out. Even though I wasn't able to make it on the originally scheduled day, Teddy went above and beyond and came in on a day when the space was already booked for an event and very busy. He helped me get everything done quickly and efficiently. This was also around the holidays, so I'm especially grateful for the extra effort. NEON is a co-working space, but it has such a friendly, down-to-earth vibe. I really appreciate their flexible pricing model. You can pay for a day pass ($25) or by the hour ($5), which makes it affordable without feeling locked into a subscription you have to constantly justify. I'll definitely be coming back to do work here more often, meet people, and enjoy the amenities. There's even an outdoor space, which is a great bonus. I spent an afternoon walking the area with my pup, enjoying the sidewalks and paths, and picnicking near the Bridge. The day could not have been more gorgeous. They even have a promotional poster for the community at a bus stop with a gay couple- way to represent and be inclusive! My only wish is that there were more options for food that are healthy and veg-friendly, as that was a bit of slim pickens.

I also enjoy working in the same office building (1806 Belles Street) with other people of similar professions in being of service to the larger community. My only concern is at night the security of our building. The Presidio used to provide our section of the Presidio with a security guard that would double check and make certain our building was securely locked up for the night. This security factor appears to be no longer in effect. We've had one attempted break in last year.

Needed to find a workspace in the city after staying in Union Square for Portola - even though I…read morelive in the East Bay, I wanted to stay in SF all weekend. Having work on Monday, I found Werqwise which was walking distance from where I was - not immediate, but not far either. I was able to book online morning of. Finding the signage outside on the street was a little difficult, but I was familiar with the area I was in. After locating, walked inside, went up the elevator and got off on the Werqwise floor... walked to the front desk and spoke to the receptionist who checked me in and gave me a brief intro on the space and where I could work. I chose to work on one of the sofas by the front, near a big window. I kind of wish I had gotten up to preview the space earlier, but did so on my way out end of day. I used the little phone booth looking private meeting rooms when I had to take calls. They have a small desk, lamp, and outlets for you to use while inside. The signage on the doors lets you know whether one is occupied or vacant. I enjoyed working there a lot. It was an excellent change of scenery and environment for me. There are other tables and sofa areas in the shared open workspace. The kitchen is off to the back where they have regular or sparkling water on tap along with I think I saw two types of beer were on tap. Coffee machine is up front (I think there was another in the kitchen?). If you're a regular there, you can leave your mug in the kitchen I think... but they had a bunch of mugs available for use. There's a fridge too. It was actually quite nice and wish I had seen this section of the floor earlier. It did provide a cool mix of working remote in a shared space, but also that office feel with the kitchen and the other side of the floor with the private workspaces you can pay more to rent out. Printers, copiers, etc. were also seen on that side of the floor. The restroom is outside of the office space, but on the same floor. You'll need to exit the main doors, walk past the elevators through another set of doors, and down the hall you'll see the restrooms. They had plenty of TP and tampons in the women's restroom which was nice because if you're traveling and you get your period or just realize you don't have one on hand, they had some supplied. I would highly recommend Werqwise for anyone traveling who needs a place to work remotely or even just for a company to offer their remote employees an option to work from.

It was rather efficient, getting in, getting a badge and picking out a place to work on the 3rd floor where our space is. Apparently, the cubes are fully modular and move around within the building. It's also somewhat of a labyrinth. I made the mistake of entering a few occupied spaces at first, the privacy band on the middle of the glass prevented me from seeing the occupier, a little bit embarrassing but ok, no harm done. The kitchen is shared and had free coffee, tea and a large fridge to store your lunch, which for us was catered, but also had had several dairy/nondairy options of milk. Some of the cubes had sofas, and open spaces had lounging areas for non private discussions. On the 4th floor lobby there were also these unusual looking TeePees, which closed, conceptually strange but maybe this is where the big ideas are hatched---definitely some new age think going on here. There were also high chairs and desks packed into a tight telephone like cubby for single person use. The doors all had glass, and were well designed / sound proof no matter the configuration. The door handles to most of the cubes were sliders. The material of the cube structure all seemed to be of some high grade aluminum and solid construction. I was impressed. Of course Wifi was available. The bathrooms also were decent with anti microbial tape on door handles, flushing handles. I enjoyed the Werqspace and hope to be back one day.

Their policies and practices are ideal for solo practitioners in the Bay Area who would like to minimize overhead as they build or maintain their practice. Furthermore, the staff and leadership of Sima Space were such a pleasure to work with. I had to separate under unfortunate personal circumstances, and they were incredibly understanding. The business is a paragon of professionalism very much in the spirit of helping professions.

It was time for my annual physical and I noticed that California Pacific Professional Building was…read morenow called the Pacific Professional Building. In September, 2022, a group of tenant doctors leasing space in the building bought the building from Sutter Health. Having visited this building on a regular basis for medical and lab appointments for myself and parents over the years, the five story professional building housed the approximately 150 doctors and specialists, as well as a CPMC and LabCorp laboratories and x-ray facilities affiliated with Sutter Health. The building is conveniently located on the Pacific Campus of the Sutter Health Medical Center and has a Walgreens on the premises as well. The facility is mask required facility. A security person and a directory desk worker will alert you to wear a mask and if you don't have a mask, they will offer one to you if you don't have one on you. The building has a garage and the 1 California bus line runs next to it on Sacramento St. A nice medical office and am glad the change in ownership did not result in changes noticeable to the patients visiting the facility.

I enjoyed the fact that not everyone is glued to their computer doing programming or startup stuff. They host many different talents from fashion designers and freelancers to non profits organizations. People are friendly and approachable. Some can be a little to chatty and interrupt too often, but a cordial "let's catch later" will usually suffice. Pros: affordable, clean, approachable owner, safe, and a bit eccentric space. Cons: no parking, not super close to Bart (not a pleasant walk to Bart as it doesn't feel super safe), can be a bit loud depending on where your work space is, and does not offer much more than just the working space (no snacks! Haha).
