I did business with Sima Space for several months as an early career clinical psychologist, before my circumstances changed and I moved out of the area. Their spaces were quiet, spacious, and beautifully decorated, at a rate that was more than fair. Their policies and practices are ideal for solo practitioners in the Bay Area who would like to minimize overhead as they build or maintain their practice. Furthermore, the staff and leadership of Sima Space were such a pleasure to work with. I had to separate under unfortunate personal circumstances, and they were incredibly understanding. The business is a paragon of professionalism very much in the spirit of helping professions. read more

Excellent counseling spaces, well appointed, very reasonably priced, and perfect both for new therapists and for professionals not looking to work 40+/hrs a week. Also, the owners & managers are just Good People. Not something to take for granted these days... read more

I have had such a great experience with Sima Space! First of all, it is impossible to find a part-time therapy office in San Francisco that is affordable and offers flexibility that Sima does. I could choose between their multiple locations with a fairly straightforward check-in process and lovely bright and clean offices. Every time I had questions or concerns, they were resolved in a timely and professional manner. I agree with a previous reviewer: the owners and managers here are just good humans! Highly recommend. read more

Sima Space provides the feel of a professional office space with the extra touches that make me forget I am renting - my own locker, room options, ambiance, etc. It has proved indispensable in starting to see clients as well as given me the courage to start my own practice. I highly recommend using Sima Space for all types of therapy. read more

Sima Space really helped me get established with my private practice, and for that I am so very grateful. I primarily used the 842 California location in Nob Hill. Their offices have great decor and nice attention to detail (tea and kettles in the kitchen, real plants and quality rugs/lamps etc in each session room). I appreciated the convenient central locations too. I also found that having such a professional and impeccably furnished office as my base instilled a confidence and ease which facilitated the growth of my therapy practice. Sima, Sayed and Sulaiman were all wonderfully responsive when any minor issues arose (e.g. running out of Kleenex boxes). I recall one of them saying that Sima Space is a great location for therapists just getting started with their own practice, and that is exactly what it was for me. So after a while, I felt myself outgrowing the space and ready to move on. Financially, I also found that once I reached a certain number of hours of rental, the amount I was paying became less economical than procuring a sublease in the City. Positives: -Beautifully furnished -Very professional looking -Great starter locations for beginning a private practice -Access codes eliminate lost key hassles or needing to buzz clients in -Multiple rooms available almost any hour you might need them (very rare to have all 5 rooms at the CA Street location fully booked; when this happened, I used the 815 Hyde space as my back-up - I NEVER had to turn away a client due to lack of a room! A big relief in scheduling.) A few drawbacks: -Occasional crowdedness, noise and rude/awkward encounters in the waiting room (other therapists & their clients) -Mostly absentee management, so usually no one on-site to help maintain & monitor the ambience. Now I understand the point of a concierge like they have at WeWork - to address any issues as soon as they arise (at the same time, I get that one reason the rates can be so reasonable is because the sites are unmanned). Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience and thankful that this type of space exists for therapists: the model of monthly membership fee plus hourly rental is an awesome way to launch one's practice. I plan to hold onto my membership for the time being - what a blessing to know that I do not need to turn away a new client just because they can't make the 2 weekdays of my new sublease. Thank you Sima Space, keep up the good work! read more

I worked as a massage therapist out of The Independent Pratice Center in 2011-2012. Very lovely location in Nob Hill. Clean and well-furnished rooms. Sima, the owner, is very smart and helpful. The only down part was not a lot of street parking, but that's San Francisco in general. read more

After leaving my practice in Michigan behind to set down roots in the Bay Area, it was challenging to find an office space that was affordable and flexible. I only practice therapy part-time, so renting an office on my own was not affordable, and sublets typically offered very limited (and often less desirable) days/hours of availability. Sima Space has struck a new model that strikes the balance of affordability and flexibility. I have been able to build my practice up one client at a time without incurring an outrageous overhead while my caseload was small. As my practice has grown, I have benefited from the incremental discounts built into my contract, which incentivize using the office more hours each month. I have saved a lot of money in the months I've been at Sima Space. Besides the rent-by-hour model, I have benefited greatly from having the option to see clients in any of the three locations they have in San Francisco (Nob Hill), Berkeley (Downtown), or Oakland (Pill Hill). I have enjoyed using the Berkeley office as my primary location, but have been able to build in a day of seeing clients in San Francisco when I'm there for other meetings anyway. My personal experience working with Sima and Sayed has also been a delight. It is clear from talking to either of them that they truly care about creating an environment that supports therapists in their healing practices. They have been warm, responsive, and flexible throughout my time with them, which makes all the rest of the experience all the better. I would highly recommend Sima Space to therapists starting their practice, and to established therapists looking for a flexible part-time office environment. read more

I'm so grateful to have found Sima Space when I was starting my mediumship practice in San Francisco. The space is professionally furnished and well-managed. Every time I emailed with a request, I received a prompt and kind response. The greatest advantage for me was the flexibility; I was able to pay a low monthly membership fee and then pay for my room as I needed it. It is designed for those starting their practice or who need flexibility. I am only leaving because I have found office space closer to my home. Thank you, Sima Space! read more

Sima Space provided me with a clean and professional, secure place to start my private practice without the commitment of having to meet a minimum for rent as I built up my caseload. It was easy to reserve rooms and any questions or concerns I had were addressed promptly with care. I recommend Sima Space to anyone looking to grow their practice or to diversify their location availability. read more

It took time to build my new private practice in San Francisco, and it also took time to figure out my ideal schedule. Sima Space made it possible for me to start at my own pace without committing to an expensive lease. The space was comfortable and bright and location perfect. It's clear Sima really understands what therapeutic providers need in an office, and she and the other managers have always been responsive and helpful. They also continued to evolve during the time that I was an active member. I enjoyed meeting other providers between sessions and at the mixers organized by Sima Space. I ended up cross-referring to some providers there, which was convenient for my clients. I also loved being able to walk in such a beautiful neighborhood and get drinks or dinner at the Fairmont or Big Four on my way home from a long clinical day. I have since moved to a permanent office location, but maintain my membership for clients who would have difficulty climbing my office steps or when there is construction in my office building. Having a backup plan puts my mind at ease and is worth every penny, as my livelihood depends on having a comfortable location for clients. read more

Sima has been absolutely fantastic. Her treatment rooms are beautiful, and really give me a wonderful place to practise. She's been incredibly accommodating to my needs, and even bought a few supplies when I asked. She's provided me with .html code for her parking map that I could add to my own website, and made sure that there would be plenty of available times for me to reserve a room. The fantastic address helps me market myself to the clients I want, and her generous support means I never have to worry. I couldn't recommend her enough. read more

As a new Depth Hypnosis practitioner I spent a long time searching for the space to start my practice. In SF it seemed impossible to cover my costs and pay the rent for the office. Than I discovered the Sima Space and my opportunity to work opened! I enjoy benefits that Sima Space offers. It's unique way to avoid skyrocketing prices for the office space per day for us as practitioners and enjoy our job. It gives me the freedom to choose my own time to work, have the office space available always and have the support that I need if something doesn't work as expected while keeping the cost at bay. Sima Space has office space in SF, Berkeley and Oakland and that's exactly what I was looking for. I can get to all 3 locations for the price of one membership and the cost of the office space per hour. Great deal! The space is well maintained, clean, very professional. There is no concierge at the locations, but I found their support team as very responsive if you call them or email them with the problem at hand. Every potential issue they take seriously and focus on resolving it right away informing the whole community and keeping us updated. They are very transparent in their intention, clear in defining their expectations from us, respectful of our client's privacy and ready to improve our experience of the space. I am grateful for what they created. Big THANK YOU! read more

This place is an incredible asset for practitioners working to build a client base. I used the somatic room from 10/14 to 3/15 while I searched for a permanent location for my business. Because I was able to build my client base without additional overhead, it made the transition to a full time space possible. I only have a few complaints, and the positives far outweigh them. The biggest complaint I had was that there is only one room set up for body work and quite a few body workers trying to book the space, so scheduling was tricky. There is very little street parking in the area, but there are garages within a few blocks. The location is great because it is close to downtown, but a number of my clients did mention hiking up the gigantic hill was slightly off-putting. That being said, there are cable cars that drop off right in front and taxis are always available. The staff is great and very accessible in case there is ever a problem. As i mentioned, the pros of Sima Space outweigh the cons. I would definitely recommend it to others. read more
