We chose AVR because Alex was patient, listened to our ideas, and gave us helpful advice. When the size of rocks we wanted was not available, I was willing to use larger ones. But Alex took the extra time to find the exact size we wanted. This was our first landscaping project, so we had many questions. Alex was always friendly and helpful. He also carefully checked the pavers on our patio to make sure they were level and water would not collect. Our project included three walkways, garden bed borders, a paver patio, and a large Japanese-style rock garden. After a year, everything still looks great, and the maintenance has been manageable. We really appreciate Alex's patience, hard work, and attention to detail. We highly recommend AVR!

AVR responded quickly and provided clear estimate with everything included. The estimate was one of the best, but the main thing is that it was clear. All of the work was well done, clean, no mess. All the issues got fixed and things look good.

He is a true professional and stands behind his work. We had 23 sprinkler heads replaced and Tony came by with a really fair offer and showed up when he said he would. The work was done in just a few short hours and he went above and beyond. Tony identified a drip line issue, a sprinkler head that should be moved to another spot, and a tree that needed to be trimmed. He did all three on his own at no charge! My lawn looks fantastic with an even spread. A few weeks later, one of the sprinkler heads snapped and he came by same day and replaced them no charge! I'm so glad I came across QD Landscaping as they have found a customer for life. More work coming soon Tony!

Highly recommend Henry and his team!

3.75/5.0 Stars. Tony Tran and his crew completed concrete, drainage, irrigation and tree hole work…read morefor us at fair prices. We appreciate that he was on time, built solid forms and even suggested additional drainage improvements. The finished result is better than that of a previous contractor. That said, there were some issues that detracted from the experience. We observed several crew members urinating in our yard and Tony made light of it so we had to address the workers ourselves to use a bathroom. There was also a miscalculation in the amount of concrete needed; while Tony completed the job at no extra charge using bagged concrete-which we appreciate-the situation could have been handled better from the outset given his level of experience, use a tape measure. Cleanup was a concern. The crew left behind concrete residue on surfaces like the driveway requiring several hours of my time to sweep and scrape. In summary, while the quality of the finished work is good improvements in professionalism, planning accuracy and post job cleanup would make a significant difference in the overall experience. Without these issues he's a solid 4.0/5.0 stars but we had the issues. I also overpaid $50 and my text hasn't been answered. Like many contractors here having tried to get us to pay more during the job he probably decided to keep it. 916-230-7995 is his cell.

Steve and his crew performed excellent services. I would and have already recommended them to…read moreneighbors and friends as an excellent landscape company with fair pricing. They did not skimp on quality of effort nor quality of work. Like every homeowner project the need for good communication is key to a happy outcome. Steve outshines in this area. He listened to me describe mine and my yard's individual need. I had a nightmare situation of invasive tree roots growing from under the fence from adjoining neighbors excessively thorny trees. The consequence were thorny tree shoots growing throughout my backyard and its sucker branches popping up on every 2-3 inches along the way. It eventually took over my lawn area by 25ft + in every direction. And it was growing longer! This made it impossible to walk on the lawn and enjoy without being stabbed and bloodied by long sharp thorns. I needed these tree roots traced and dug out completely all the way to the fence line before applying new landscaping. Gaspar and Henry did an excellent job of removing each one of these multiple roots by hand digging. Very laborious and yet they handled it well in the hot summer sun and doing a complete and excellent job. They did it quickly and I thank them tremendously. I had to make the hard but wise choice of not re-sodding and no longer having a lawn. Steve was very patient and guided me to the right choices of landscape material that would help me eliminate this problem from reoccurring on my yard. Steve and his crew (Gaspar and Henry) were a blessing and gave me back my yard. Thank you, sincerely. It was a great experience to work with Awaken Landscapes. I would use them again.
