I was in a pinch and I needed a document printed same day. I called Avalon and spoke to a gentleman who told me that it would be okay for me to stop by and it would not be a problem at all. I stopped by the facility shortly after.
I was greeted at the door and walked through the whole building into the back section to a woman that was supposed to be able to help me. During this walk I noticed several employees just standing or sitting around and conversing with each other nonchalantly. I couldn't help but wonder why I had to be walked all the way back to one specific employee. I needed something that was only one page printed. I wasn't looking for access to a security deposit box, but it almost felt like it.
When we arrived at her desk the woman asked me what I needed, however, she seemed less than thrilled that I was interrupting whatever other more important business she was attending to at the time. I didn't feel well received or welcomed by this employee. I felt as though they didn't want to help me. When I explained what I needed she made a sour face and said "oh do you need this right now?" She then proceeded to tell me that they were too busy and wouldn't be able to help me right now.
As I was being walked out of the building, again, I noticed many employees standing around talking. I found it very strange that none of them were directed to help me with my request. The document wouldn't have taken long to print, and I probably could have done it myself if they set me up on one of their many machines. But, nothing. None of them even bothered to help. I was just told they were too busy and then walked back through the whole building and shown the door. Very strange experience. Like most people, I don't enjoy being told one thing on the phone and then another thing in person, and I always like to feel valued as a potential client. read more
