My husband and I just left Avalon Tile in Manahawkin and we had a great experience! We were quickly and happily greeted by Nicole. I explained that we were looking to pick out tile for our kitchen backsplash. I told her what I was looking for and what we didn't want, along with a couple pictures of our kitchen and she and Tim brought us right over to a brick looking tile that was perfect! Both Nicole and Tim were super helpful and made sure we were happy with our choices. I highly recommend Avalon Manahawkin!! read more

I'm planning a bathroom renovation and went into Avalon Flooring and Tile on the recommendation of my mother and her past experiences that had always been great. This time we worked with LISA and she was OUTSTANDING. She really understood my vision and worked hard to show me things that I would both love AND could afford. She was very knowledgeable about the products and about bathroom renovation in general; she taught me things I never knew and had me think about aspects of the project I didn't even know I needed to think about. Even though I had a million questions she answered them patiently and never made me feel like I was a burden. By the time I got home, I already had an email in my inbox with her estimate, complete with explanations of what everything was. I would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND working with her, she is a true professional. read more

We were replacing our kitchen floor after our current laminate floor was ruined by a water incident. We went to Avalon in Manahawkin and were greeted by Deneen Oliveira. We discussed our needs and she took us to review the flooring that we could consider. Her explanations were clear and thorough. And she answered our many questions ably. Once we decided on the product and color, Deneen explained the 3 types of the product and the prices. No pressure to purchase the most expensive type but ultimately we did! Our purchased product had to be ordered and would take weeks to come in. Deneen kept us up to date on delivery expectations. Overall, she was terrific to work with and made our decision so much easier! read more

We are in the process of doing several projects in our home that require tile and other types of flooring. Avalon Flooring has a huge showroom with so many options to choose from. All of the samples have the pricing right on them which is nice if you just wanted to do an initial browsing trip. The sales staff let's you peruse on your own but are readily available once you need someone. We worked with Nick (@ the Egg Harbor store) and he is extremely knowledgeable and very good at providing guidance in helping the indecisive in making decisions. His patience level is bar none and he answers every question as you go along in the ordering process. We cannot speak highly enough of both Nick and Avalon and plan to use them for all of our flooring needs in the future. read more

My husband and I redid two bathrooms. We walked into Avalon Flooring with a picture of the stone vanity tops we had picked out and a very general idea of our color scheme. Deneen, our salesperson, did an amazing job of helping us to find not only beautiful tile to coordinate with the vanity tops, but tile that was IN STOCK as well since we were ripping out the bathrooms the next week and needed our tile ASAP. She helped us narrow down choices so that the process was not so overwhelming, as well as coordinating grout colors and shower accessories. The process was seamless and painless. So happy with how our bathrooms turned out. Thanks, Deneen! We will be back. read more

Went to Avalon to upgrade our home. As we walked in, we were greeted by several people and introduced to the store manager. The manager helped us look at samples after we told her what we were looking for. It was a great experience. When the estimator (Rob) came to our home to measure, we were extremely impressed with his expertise, friendly personality and honesty. As far as Carpet/flooring companies go, look no further, this is number 1 read more

Our Dreamweaver Carpet looks great, but the fibers have a horrendously bad odor, like a dirty hamper. We noticed a smell about two weeks after the new carpet smell dissipated, the weather got cold and the house got closed up. It took us weeks to figure out where the smell was coming from because it permeated the whole house. We never thought a brand new carpet would smell like dirty socks. We tried baking soda to no avail. I asked their "Customer Service" pen pusher if Avalon would help us recoup the cost of professional cleaning to try and remove it. You'd think I asked her for her firstborn child by her attitude. First, she tried to tell me the carpet came directly from the manufacturer. Not true. It was installed early because it came from another store's stockroom. Then this chick insinuated I was lying since "no other customers with carpet cut from the same roll" had complaints. She tried to blame me because I waited ten weeks to call. Then she tried to make me feel like my order of $3200 was insignificant. Finally, she put it on the manufacturer and said I should take it up with them. Our brand new carpet makes our house smell like a hamper full of dirty, musty clothes and Avalon Customer Service basically said too bad, it's your problem. If you won't stand by the products you sell, DON'T SELL THEM. read more

We first went to the store on Route 72 and were greeted with helpful suggestions for our shore home. Sharon was pleasant and professional. She ordered a home visit for final selection and measurement for both an area carpet and for wall to wall steps. After making our selection the carpet was ordered. The "measurer" was knowledgeable professional and cordial even with masks on. Sharon ordered exactly what we needed. The installer arrived at our house on time and meticulously installed our beautiful new carpet. Great job by all involved. read more

I always return to Avalon Great selection, pricing and fantastic customer service!!!!

Ordered floor tile on sale. I was given a sale price of 2.39 sf. Total price was 249.95, and I paid a $200.00 deposit for the order (Have receipt marked as such). After 5 weeks I was told tile arrived. When I went to get and pay the balance I was told they made a mistake, and the price was 3.59 sf.. Although I had my 2.39 priced order, they refused to honor it. They never emailed me about a wrong price, or let me know when they called me to pick up order. Complete bait and switch! Refunded my deposit and I will never do business with them again. BEWARE read more

Visited the store 3 weeks ago for a multi-room carpet / hardwood purchase and after 15 minutes I was never greeted or approached for help. If they were busy I would understand, however there were 5-6 sales people gathered together talking and laughing doing there own thing. There were 3 or 4 other potential customers in the store and they were flying solo as well. Needless to say, terrible sales people with no regard for customer service, this was on a Saturday....you would think they would want to make money! I walked out in disbelief knowing I would never give them my business nor recommend them. I'm in sales and customer service myself and those people wouldn't last a day. Management needs to train their employees and then actually manage them. Went to a competitor around the corner and they were on their 'A' game, AGGRESSIVELY open to help customers and sell product! read more
