We love our new blinds from Garden State Blinds! They look really nice and were a reasonable price for the quality. We did three sets of windows and also a slider for the patio door. For two of the windows, we did the faux wood slated blinds, which is style we were familiar with. For our bedroom window, we tried something new, which is the honeycomb cell shade that blocks light and that can be slid from the top down or the bottom up. This is a wonderful feature for the bedroom so that we get the privacy of the lower part of the window being covered, but we're able to let in light and look outside through the top part. Something that really made this company easy to work with is that all the people I interacted with were amazingly accommodating and helpful. Starting with Vito Conforti, the president, and then his son Andrew, who came to our house for the initial consultation and showed me all the different samples and help me pick colors and styles. All the people who answered the phone and did scheduling and answered my questions were polite and helpful and quick to respond. The installer Zach was an impressive young man who worked through a challenging install situation. We had just moved in and a lot of our furniture and boxes were blocking access to the windows and Zach very kindly moved things for me and even help me break down boxes for recycling and stack them up. That is going above and beyond what he came here to do and I really appreciated his help and good attitude. Additionally, they gave us a tin of Dutch shortbread cookies which are my favorite. It's so refreshing do business with an independent family owned company. Everyone here puts all their heart into what they do and this really sets them apart from chain and franchise businesses. I hired Garden State Blinds about 5 1/2 weeks ago. They do not have a brick & mortar store so their Sales Rep, Andrew, came to the house. Andrew brought samples of everything and explained everything in detail. He was just amazing. After picking out different window treatments and colors, Andrew provided pricing and the rest is history. I ordered faux wood blinds for my living room, dining room and master bedroom. I also ordered a blackout pleated shade for another bedroom. The person that came to the house with samples and to take measurements, Vito, was excellent. The installers, Eric and another person whose name I can't remember, were both terrific. They took down all my old hardware for shades and curtain rods, did an excellent job installing the new products, and cleaned up afterwards. Excellent company and great customer service. All of our windows were done by them in 2003 and they still look and work great. Had one cord break a couple years back, way out of warranty and they took care of it. More recently we had a large fan window done and it came out exactly the way we wanted. We needed new cordless blinds for our baby's room. Vito came to measure and he provided samples to choose from. He brought cookies too! Someone came about 3 weeks later to install them. Great blinds company. The owner, Vito, comes and quotes you. He's very professional. He brought us some pastries without even knowing if we'd be using him. He measured out all the windows and gave us a good deal. The installers came a week or so later and installed everything quickly and professionally. They ask that the customer dispose of the packaging from the blinds, but they put it all in a neat pile.
