What I would improve is having a competent sales staff. Selection of fabrics and design is great. However, when I called because the person who measured said that they number of items ordered was wrong. That is fine. Mistakes will be made. However, when I called to discuss the issue further, I was told that the manager was out, and there was no date as to when she would return. I spoke with some lazy man who could not be bothered to discuss the issue with me. I canceled the entire $8000 order on the spot. I will never ever go back to blinds to go!!!! read more

I purchased several blinds at another Blinds to Go location, unfortunately 8 of the blinds have been returned and repaired several times for various reasons. This location is the nearest to my home and the one who I bring my broken blinds to. They honor their lifetime guarantee on "mechanics " each and every time I've gone here. The repair is usually completed within a week. It would be great if they could ship the repaired blind directly back to the customer, but that's not the case. Horrible installation experience! First, the installer made lots of holes because he kept measuring wrong and making more holes to use. Then, he finally used tiny wall anchors to hang a bar with heavy curtains instead of stronger molly bolts or even thicker screw-in anchors. After a few months, it all fell off the wall doing damage to the wall. We didn't realize he used tiny wall anchors until it fell. We were also told that the installer would explain how to program the electric blinds. Well, he did tell us we could probably find something online by googling it. Since the electronics don't work correctly, he also told me he would get it replaced. Crickets... Now I need to spend hundreds of dollars to get the wall fixed and have the curtains installed properly. The ordering process was fine, like everyone else reported. Installation is a nightmare like everyone else reports. I would definitely go elsewhere after this installation nightmare. read more

Terrible experience. Poor customer service and communication (legalistic/adversarial/sometimes non-responsive). Salesman wrote words on contract basically negating much of advertised warranty. Measurements botched. Installation of replacement blind cancelled on short notice. Whole process has taken well over a month and still not completed. Avoid this company like the plague. read more

Ordering the blinds went great, but the customer service after that wasn't. I installed them myself but the screws that came with the hardware weren't meant to be installed vertically. I went back to the store and were told to install at a different anchor point. Which wasn't physically possible since there was nothing to screw into. At which point one of the employees literally just walked away. The other employee gave me other screws that I demonstrated didn't fit. After that I was told I should try to go to Home Depot to get screws that would fit. I did and it work. I came back looking for a little help not free installation. You'd think that if you showed them that you couldn't install their brackets a certain way they'd understand. They didn't or care too. Otherwise the blinds are really great. read more

The sales rep Michael came Feb 29, 2024 with samples. I chose a bamboo type shade for a large 3 panel window. I needed privacy as it's my living room facing the street and where I watch tv at night. The sales rep showed me one liner and said that was the privacy liner so I ordered it. He measured the 3 windows and said an installer would set up an appt. to measure again. I gave him a check for almost 1K. The installer came several days later and measured again. An appt was set up to install in about 2 weeks. When the shades were installed they did not fit right plus you could see through the so called privacy liner as my neighbor across the street told me. When I questioned this Michael said the next step would be a blackout liner but for more money. I was not going to pay more on top of what I already paid. So I kept the cheap thin liner. Finally the installer came to remove the shades and take them to get fixed so they fit right. He put up temporary paper shades. It's now April 27, 2024 and still no shades or phone calls. Michael never returns calls. They did offer me my money back at one point but then what was I going to do. My old window treatments were damaged so they could not even be put back up. I am fed up with the service and truthfully the quality of the shades is definitely not high quality. I would never recommend them to anyone if they need window treatments and live in Monmouth County NJ. It is just a very bad experience in every way and it's not over yet. read more

We had a good experience when placing the order but actually getting the blinds installed in our house has been a pain. I called after placing our order and asked them to contact the installer to schedule the date. I was told they would call me back, didn't get a call back. I called this week, a week after placing the order in which our blinds are sitting there. I asked if they had scheduled a day to install, I was told they would call me back. Didn't get a call back. Communication is awful. We are going out of town for 2 weeks and I asked for them to be installed within the next week. Yet no one can seem to figure it out. They pick up the phone 1/4 of the time and they don't call you back when they say they will. Communication needs to improve especially with customers who have purchased an order (we bought blinds for 30+ windows). read more

The service at this location was good. Polite, fast and helpful. But I would not recommend the product unfortunately. I got black out blinds over a month ago for 2 windows. Installed them myself, because the installation is easy and did not want to pay $100 for an easy installment and have a service member in my home during covid. But one of my blinds keeps falling out. One of the blind has been fastened and stays in place. But the other blind, by my window, falls and is unreliable. It's by my bed and I worry that one day it will fall on me while I'm sleeping. Blinds to Go provided excellent service and I love my final product. I came in on a Sunday during the very popular BOGO event. I did have to wait a long time to be seen, but once I ordered I could see why. How can you beat these prices? They have everything you are looking for at a very reasonable price point. Plus service is completely individualized and you in no way feel like you are being rushed. By the end of the day, I did not mind the wait. The Battery packs are crooked and just hanging off the sides of the window frame. Yet Their in store display has the batteries neatly hidden and out view.....false advertising! I bought four Roman blinds back in October 2019. It's now January and the adhesive glue holding the fabric to the velcro where the shades hang is coming undone. It hasn't even been a full three months since the purchase, and these are NOT inexpensive. Be warned. I was told initially the repair would only take two to three days. I chose Blinds to Go because of their repair warranty. Dropped off blinds to be fixed to Michael the "supervisor". The repairs were not done properly and I picked up two blinds in worse condition that I dropped off. One was ripped and one was too short...wouldn't even cover the window it was made for any longer. It would've cost this store nothing to cover their mistake. I'm a business owners and am appalled at customer service. I will be using Blinds.com from now on!!!!!! So disappointed!! read more

Truly disappointed. We first got the blinds around a year ago. Everything went well. I even gave 5 stars and sent my friends to them. Now, is a different story. The blinds are extremely heavy to pull up so I tried to contact our original installer and never heard back. He claims he didn't get my calls, text or vm. I call the store, they reach out and they get him, he comes to the house on Sept. 5th and takes the 3 blinds with him (the others are fine) and says, it might take about 3 weeks. I understand & appreciate the honesty. At the end of sept I am calling him and again no response or answer. I reach out to the store and find out the blinds have been sitting there since SEPT. 11TH!!!!!!! REALLY? Why.?..the guy is totally blowing me off saying "well we contact the installer" Yeah, well why haven't they been installed? Oh, I'll get on that right away." That was last Thursday...crickets. I call the Milltown store again asking to speak to a manager, meanwhile they know who is calling and they have your #. He insists that they are their own managers and don't really have a supervisor or manager who oversees them. I insist on someone. He tells me that he'll get someone to reach out to me. I call back to see, in the meantime, when the blinds are going to get installed. He says he'll get someone on it immediately, but right now they're not working and don't work on Sundays, so Monday. Crickets. I am so upset about their poor customer service and the fact that you can't seem to locate a manager or district manager for this store. So I am resorting to a yelp review in hopes I can get my blinds installed asap. This is insane! read more

Just ordered blinds. New Panel Blinds to replace old verticals for sliding glass door, wood shades and blackout shades. Everything was fantastic. Display in store was so helpful. The rule of business is to not over-promise and under deliver and that is exactly what Blinds to Go does. The store associates are very nice during the purchasing process however it is the installation process that will leave you frustrated and disappointed. I spent approximately $2000 on blinds for my home in February 2018 and here we are in September and I still do not have perfect blinds, unacceptable. The store promises that your installation will be within 7-10 days but that is not true. The problem is trying to work around the installers schedule. Bob is the installer they assigned to my job and he only works Mon-Fri business hours; however Blinds To Go told me that my installation could happen on a week-end, NOT true. So I take a day off and Bob comes to do my installation. One of my valances arrives cracked and one of my blinds is a bit too long. Bob tells me that I have to call the store, have them re-order the broken valance, and arrange for him to come back. I ask him if there is anyway he could come on a Saturday morning or in the evening on a week day and his response was that he is retired and does this for a little extra money but his priority is spending time with his grandchildren; helping the customer is no where on his mind. I go back to Blinds to Go and Meredith takes my re-order for a new valance and one shorter blind. Meredith says in a couple of days when the pieces arrive she will call me and we can arrange for installation. I explain to her I really do not want to take a day off for a 10 minute job and she understands. She says she will definitely get someone to come out on a Saturday morning. After not hearing from Meredith, I go to the store about two weeks later. Meredith admits that she never placed the reorder in the system but is placing the order now. She gives me the number to a different installer, Bill, that works on the week-ends and she will call him personally to make sure my blinds are installed the following Saturday. Perfect, I am now happy. Well that afternoon Bill calls me and tells me that he also does not work on week-ends and he is not available after 3pm because he has to pick up his children from the bus stop. So the result was that I have to take another day off of work so that my broken pieces can be installed. The true test to good customer service is during difficult times and Blinds to Go only caused me frustration and disappointment. After seeing so many good reviews I felt confident in making this purchase with them but I would never go back or recommend them to others. read more
