Great experience with Avalanche. The process was quick and efficient, my order was ready the same day, and they even helped load everything into my car. Friendly, smooth, and stress-free from start to finish. For a mom trying to quickly make everything perfect for Christmas, this was a straight winning shoot! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Truly the WORST experience I've ever had with a business. I ordered a board for my daughter for Christmas back in November 2025. They sent the wrong board. I sent the board BACK to them. They have claimed to have sent me the correct board, but it is now March 2026 and I still HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE BOARD I ORDERED. It has been OVER 4 MONTHS since my original purchase, I'm out over $200, my daughter still doesn't have her Christmas gift & they will not refund my money or send me the correct board. Terrible customer service & whoever responds to emails is the most unprofessional individual. They could not care any less about whether or not I get my board or my money back. 100000% fraud. Stay away from this company. read more

We have ordered online from this shop (shipping on one order, picked up locally on another) and also a 3rd order from their eBay storefront and each time has gone perfectly. Living an hours drive south and not realizing that this shop was close, I found the limited edition Landyachtz longboard I had been searching for on eBay and placed my order; it arrived the next day. I placed a second order on their website, with shipping, for trucks and wheels I needed for my older deck, and this order also delivered the next day. For The 3rd order, I ordered another complete longboard, online, and opted to pick up in store as I needed to shop for roller skate wheels and they were the only shop locally, that had them. John was super helpful! He not only help my daughter with her skates but also help my husband with some side buys, he needed, too. Walking around the shop, I saw so much stock on hand (I May have been drooling, lol) and plenty of options for skate boarding/longboarding, biking, scooters, accessories and the various parts/gear that anyone might need. Very fair, competitive pricing On everything we have purchased. Plus, the furry mascot, who happily barked a happy hello as we entered, made us feel right at home. I leave this detailed review as shops like this are rare, in a world of big box stores, where employees lack Experience and education, unable to offer the hands on service that a Small shop like this can. This *IS* the shop that you remember from days long gone and we are so happy to have found it, so close to home. read more

Don't bother with skateusa.com. I ordered a new Primitive skate deck. After placing my offer, I never received an order confirmation. I emailed on their website and received a response with just a tracking number. When I received the item, it was packaged very oddly in a box that wasn't the right size with ups envelopes around the board. I opened it up and noticed 3 cuts I the top of the deck. I emailed them pictures and asked about returning or getting a discount if I kept this one. The guy responded that I already received a discount (10% off) for subscribing and could return it if I wasn't happy. Didn't want to do that because I would be out shipping costs. I would expect a buainess to the have better customer service and make things right if they provided an item that was damaged. read more

"customer placed ordered for item which was shipped to the address provided. item was confirmed delivered on 8-8-25. customer turned around and opened a chargeback after taking delivery of the item. this is clear fraud. customer can return item if they do not want it. but taking delivery of the item and then opening a chargeback with no intent on returning the item is fraud. please require this theif to return the item if they do not want it" These idiots have the audacity to call me a thief when I tried to contact them multiple times to cancel an order on the same day! I was purchasing this for my brother, but we found a better price and we tried to contact this merchant through phone and email multiple times. We kept getting no response. So I contacted my bank about 3 days later after the order hoping they can help cancel it. They took forever to do anything. Keep in mind I did this all within 3 days after placing order. I ended up receiving the item over a month later. I just received notice that the merchant is calling me a thief for not returning item. Excuse me!???!! how can I return an item that I had not yet received until recently? They are idiots do not order from them their customer service is terrible!!!! read more

Makes sense why you can't find reviews on google or anywhere else for you guys, because you SUCK not only are your products absolute trash, but so is your staff and customer service. I needed to return an item, sent several emails and chats with no response, called and it just rang until it went to a blank voicemail. This is the response I get today. I was checking my email and spam folder daily and guess what? Nothing from them on the 21st like stated nor did I receive anything with my package. Just the item and invoice, no info on returns. Will never be ordering anything from them again. read more

After reading the comments I'm happy I didn't make a purchase here. Be careful buying product from here. They have a big selection but a lot of their product is damaged and really old. This shop is selling the Reynolds 3 that will most likely have the sole separate from just walking. A shoe that's been sitting for 6 years will have brittle glue and fail since the glue will have no flexibility. Good luck getting your money back if you don't listen to the comments because the owner doesn't stand behind his product. BEWARE! read more

I went there in the morning the owner was very nice and help me get a pre built board.

I wish I'd read these reviews or checked the Better Business Bureau before ordering. What a horrible experience--right from the start I could tell something was off by the tone of communication from the owner. It only got worse. If you have the good sense to check Yelp before ordering from Skates USA, listen to the chorus of voices here--don't make the same mistake we did. read more

Best and largest shop in Florida. Take a trip in store you will be amazed, or drop an order on the beautiful website! The owner Jon is very knowledgeable and helpful. The abundance of products no matter what sport your shopping for is incredible. Stop going to zumiez and come to a real shop. read more

Really disappointed with this company's customer service. I ordered a pair of skates from them, they arrived a little dusty, but otherwise okay. When trying them on and riding them about on the sidewalk for literally 5 minutes, I realized I ordered half a size too small. Tried emailing them several times over a week to request an exchange, finally got an answer on the 4th try. Had to find out that I needed to ship them back with tracking ($60 expense). Emailed them the tracking number, no response. Skates arrived, no response. Week later was told they would issue a refund with a restocking fee because they had been worn, ~20% of the value of the skate. I effectively paid $140 to try on a pair of skates. Will never do business with again. read more

Worst decision ever to place an order through their online website www.skatesusa.com. Non response with questions regarding my order. Both email, first messages and phone voice mails. Don't ever bother calling. They NEVER answer their phone and fail to ever get back to you. Look them up on the BBB WEBSITE. They are not accredited and have numerous negative comments. The President Mr Jon Fink should be embarrassed. read more

They charged me $300 for a board, after 3 months they never sent the board. When I was on the phone with them the owner called me a "f*ggot" and said he won't return my money. Stay away from these scammers. Update: my bank investigated and found out the owner had committed fraud. Luckily they refunded my money. Unfortunately the owner has been harassing me on social media again calling me the F-word along with other angry childish phrases. read more

Awful store/Awful owner sends ruined shoes in mail does nothing to fix and has the nerve for to call me a scum bag. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I advise not to order anything online from SKATES USA/AVALANCHE SKATE SHOP. They have an F on better business bureau as well just read the reviews. This could of all been made right with a refund. I sent pics of shoes and damaged box. And they claim I need to return the unworn brand new shoes when they were sent soaking wet and covered in ants. read more

Why even have a shop when you can't provide proper customer service? How're you going to get a customer? They barely respond to emails, also did they put phone somewhere in the basement cuz they never answer it. Worst experience I've had. Never coming back and also gonna block their website so I never see it. Bye read more

I just bought Skates from there that were pretty beat up for what I thought was a decent price... I looked up the skates that I bought once I left and realized he ripped me off big time. He tried to sell me the skates for $150 saying he bought them new for $300. I negotiated it down to $100 just to find out they are $115 brand new online. read more

This is an absolute terrible company to deal with, stay as far away as possible. I had ordered a set of BMX tires, and my order was sitting in processing for three weeks. I went back-and-forth with the company through email for about five days. Finally, I asked for a refund and they stopped responding to my emails. I even left three voicemail messages and nothing was returned. I had to involve PayPal just to get my money back. Stay away. read more

Great local skate shop! I needed a birthday gift for my son's friend who skates and "already has everything". The staff listened to what I was looking for and how much I wanted to spend. The guy was totally helpful with good ideas for the gift and he never pressured me. They helped me pick out cool and useful skateboard tools and accessories. I also got some colorful socks for my son. I'm looking forward to a long and frequent relationship with this shop. They took the time to help me pick out skate stickers to add to the box and they helped me wrap the gift. I will be back for sure. My son's friend was stoked when he opened the gift and my son felt good about it. He said, "thanks Mom- he really liked it"! read more

Excellent selection. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. If you're looking for a quality board, this is the location to go to!

I haven't received my deck since I ordered it 5 months ago. Skates USA, the online distributer with the same address, hasn't responded to my last 3 emails over the course of the past 8 weeks (as of tomorrow) - Do you have any fair options for me? This review can be edited! read more

Hands down the worst experience with ordering online from any company. No communication from the company regarding my order after many failed attempts to reach them through email and phone. Once my order was finally shipped it was refunded for part of my order. No explanation to why it was refunded. I'm assuming they sold the board I ordered in the week it took them to pack the order. After reading others reviews on facebook I guess I got lucky with actually receiving a refund and part of my order almost two weeks after placing the order. BUYER BEWARE! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE, ORDER FROM ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

Order was placed on November 9th. I sent an email (Monday) November 16th inquiring about updated shipping information. The response was "should ship by the end of the week". Skates USA.com, formerly known as Avalanche Skate Shop. Currently using the address 24 Old Jupiter Beach, Jupiter, Florida 33477. I ordered a very expensive scooter from this outfit. Because it took 3 weeks to receive the scooter, I was forced to purchase something else for my son's birthday. I returned the scooter within 2 weeks unopened. Skates USA received the scooter on November 23 as verified by FedEx. Here I sit on Dec 5 with no refund and my emails and telephone calls continue to go unanswered. As of right now, if anyone is considering using this outfit for Christmas gifts, STAY AWAY. If I receive my full refund I will update this review to be fair to Skates USA. Update 12/15: Still waiting for my refund. Was told via email that my order would be inspected and processed by the end of last week. Still waiting. Going on nearly a month since SkatesUSA received my unopened scooter return. Am going to file complaint with credit card company at this point just to get started. read more
