They also explained to me without appointments their last call is at 4:00pm. Upon arrived it was smooth sailing, waited my turn, passed smog, paid and left. The wait space can be a bit small as they use public street parking but you find that anywhere you go. Thank you to Adam who runs the place he was very helpful and straightforward. I would definitely recommend this place!

Luis at Jumpstart Auto: The Best Battery Referral & Install!…read moreWhen my car battery died in the morning, Luis at Jumpstart Auto was my first call. He was instantly helpful: he referred me straight to Victor Ballesteros for a speedy jump start so I could at least get mobile. When I got to Luis, we ordered the replacement battery from AutoZone, but I had to rush home for a critical 2:00 p.m. meeting. After my meeting, I got one more jump from Victor and headed back. Luis was ready to go when I arrived and installed the new battery right away for a very nominal fee and even offered helpful maintenance tips. Don't hesitate to hit him up if you have car troubles or need a new battery; he's your guy for quality service and fair pricing!

I hate to do this…read more Been coming here since I was a kid. Recently, I came in to get two used tires. Can't afford new ones so this was a good short term solution. When I got home, I noticed one of the used tire had a huge plug. Went back and they replaced it. The next morning, the second used tire was already flat. Had to go back again and they had to patch it up. I get it, they are used, but why sell bad used tires? After 20 years, I am seriously disappointed. I don't think I could trust this place anymore.

Wow! What a great honest location…read more I called in and spoke to David over the phone; mentioned that my car had some issues with the headlights and the sunroof. He was great! He mentioned they were a bit busy that day but asked me to take in the car for an evaluation. Dropped off the car around 9 am and he called me around 12 noon advising what the problem was. Again, David was very honest with his suggestions and recommended another local business that could take care of the issues. I was very grateful and will definitely be going back to Zapotlan for future repairs.

His prices are very fair, and he's never tried to sell me services I don't actually need. As a woman, I've sometimes worried about being overcharged or talked into unnecessary repairs at other shops, but I've never felt that way here. He takes the time to explain what my car actually needs and what can wait, and I really appreciate that level of honesty and integrity. It's hard to find a mechanic you can truly trust, and this is definitely one of those places. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for reliable, affordable, and trustworthy service.

Later on, another mechanic checked my car and told me nothing had actually been changed. The car was basically untouched, even though I paid for the service. They were still trying to overcharge for labor too, which makes the whole situation even worse. I wish I had taken pictures or checked everything right away because this is not okay. Just wanted to warn other people so they don't waste their time or money here. Definitely do your research and go to a different mechanic because there are way better and more honest places out there.

TERRIBLE SERVICE -- THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR OWN WORK OR WARRANTY…read more I brought my vehicle here for brake work, and after the service, my brake rotors were scratched/damaged. I went back and asked them to inspect the problem and honor their warranty, but instead of taking responsibility for the work they performed, they refused to honor the warranty. Their excuse was that I provided the brake pads. If providing my own parts was going to affect the warranty, that should have been clearly explained before the work was performed, not after there was a problem. What makes this even worse is that they wanted to charge me additional money to fix the problem. So they get paid to perform the work, the job does not turn out properly, and when you come back with a legitimate issue, instead of standing behind their work, they want to charge you again. That's not what I consider good customer service or professional workmanship. I'm not asking for anything for free. I'm simply asking them to take responsibility for the work I already paid for. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. I WOULD NOT TAKE MY VEHICLE BACK HERE, AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONE. If you decide to use this shop, make sure you get everything in writing, especially what their warranty actually covers if you provide your own parts.

As a woman who knows nothing about cars, it is good to know a mechanic you cam trust, since most women usually get ripped off in some way/shape or form by mechanics. I went to Big O tires a few days ago to get my oil changed. They told me that I needed $400 worth of work on my brakes, and that it should be done as soon as possible. I went to Orejel Auto and they told me my brakes were good, and only needed a minor repair which cost me $100. Also, everyone was super professional and wore masks and complied with the COVID-19 health requirements. Thank you Miguel Sr. and Jr.!
