Michelangelo Eggs Benedict
Kjiel C.

This is one of the best places I have ever eaten. I had the Michelangelo Benedict. Highly recommended by the server and it didn't disappoint. Able to sit and look at Notre Dame whole eating.

Fantastic location with the best view possible of Notre Dame! Food is deftly crafted with fresh ingredients and served sidewalk cafe style with cheery, English speaking staff.

Delicious veggie soup with a touch of parmesano

This is the quintessential Parisian spot: photography and art is on display, the owners are the artists, but they are also possibly the best café hosts in the area. There's perfectly made coffee drinks, white wine, light lunch fare, delicious pastries and always a smile, (this last feature is something not easy to find in Paris). It's right across Note Dame, in fact, you get awesome views of the church and can stop by before or after visiting the area. There's free wi-fi to upload your photos or check in with friends and a relaxed, no pressure, happy atmosphere. The owners, Bea and Alex, are usually there to make your visit a delight.

Very good people my family and I loved it! I drank a few espressos and my girls had breakfast food and they keep asking when are we going back

What a perfect little café for breakfast or anytime. Super nice owners making the food and drink. Excellent muesli and avocado toast, the latter of which came beautifully decorated with edible flowers and black sesame seeds. Nice little café viennois drizzled with chocolate syrup. Very elegant bohemian ambiance with excellent, reasonably-priced photography by owner Beatriz. And a perfect view of the Notre Dame. Come here!

Da Vinci tartine and scrambled eggs

This was the first place we ate in Paris and we will probably return several times during our trip! The owners are very friendly and welcoming and spoke (from what we heard) English and Spanish, in addition to French of course. They are artists and have their art and photos displayed on the walls. The food was DELICIOUS!! We had organic scrambled eggs with a side salad and the Da Vinci tartine with two cups of tea. We hung out in the shop for about an hour just enjoying the view of the cathedral and the wonderful food. Highly recommend this is a place you have to visit!

Breakfast of champions! Eggs Debussy (organic) and croissants and cafe

Really good! We have come twice now. Super cute place and very nice owners. They are both artists and their shop reflects that- a photographer and a painter. The coffee is great and the food is superb. They speak excellent English or if you choose French. And the view just out the window is of Notre Dame. The art themed menu and decor is charming. A very short walk from Notre Dame! Try it you'll like it!

Came here for my last meal in Paris before leaving and it was the best breakfast I had here in Paris during my 10 days of vacation. It's located directly in front of Norte Dame, you can see if directly from the window seat. Amazing ambiance and very Artistic. Learned that the owners are actually artists which explains the tasteful decor. The food was not only beautifully plated but tasted amazing too. Wish I visited this place sooner, I would have started my day here at least few more times.

Raspberry milkshake and ham sandwich
Kanchan B.

Awesome excellent raspberry milkshake (slightly tart, which I like) and decent baguette sandwich for about €16. I preferred this option, even if slightly more expensive than the Subway just a few shops up. Came with free wifi (yay!) and an excellent view of Notre Dame cathedral. It's a small floor and your chair is likely to hit the chair of the person sitting behind you so very close quarters with other diners / tables, but the high ceilings make it feel spacious and the owner has put tables very strategically. Very quick and pleasant service and even though it feels Parisian with all the quirky art on the walls, majority of accents were of tourists (heard kiwi and American). Worth a visit if you want something phone than the regular tourist traps or American chain restaurants.

Excellent food and great service. The eggs Benedict is excellent. Love the hot chocolate. Merci!

Yelp/ my Wife guide my gastronomic adventures abroad and so they did the morning we found Aux Arts Etc. I wasn't exaggerating when breakfast ended and I told my waitress I had just eaten my best meal EVER, dinner, lunch, breakfast, EVER! Venue: Everything in Paris is elevated in charm. Aux Arts is a tiny cafe where you sit across from the chef as he prepares your meal behind a bar. Beatriz Ronzero doubles as hostess, server, and in-house visual artist- her still life's of the city adorn the walls. Virtually all-window seating faces a row of trees framing your view of The Seine and Notre Dame across the street. The coffee was an eye-opener and my ju l'orange fresh-squeezed by a machine. The chalkboard listed three specials and I chose "the Michelangelo" a Riff on eggs Benedict (pictured) I am not a critic, a cook, or even a foodie. I do watch Food Channel and pay attention to the terms celebrity chefs use to describe great cooking, or the things missing in those who get eliminated, chopped, sent packing. But I digest. Why was Aux Art's "Michelangelo" genius? Visually beautiful. The two-year-old in a cane stroller next to me stared it down and then had a bad toddler day. I would have cried too if the GUY NEXT TO ME got that and I DIDN'T. The drizzle on the plate was so much more than visually appealing. My egg yolk mixed into it to form a sauce that had everything in it-sweet, salt, savory, umami, ...whatever else hits all edges of your tongue with "oh, wow!" The greens hovering over my dish seemed odd on Eggs Benedict until I ate them: We had spent the week in France eating cheese on baguettes, cheese alone, baguettes alone, not to mention cheese in crepes. I was about to fondue myself in. Between the crunch of the basement muffin and topping sprouts sandwiching the gooey middle, I simultaneously got a wonderfully contrasting texture for my mouth, as well as a surprising fresh element that satisfied my inner vegan. I did not eat the flower, and in deference to the youngster watching my every move, I DID NOT lick the plate, but did scour remaining sauce with the accompanying baguette. I would seriously call ahead to make sure that same meal was available to me again. THE BEST MEAL EVER!

But wait! Up some windy stairs is a sunlit room with about the same amount of art. Some things were creepy, some were a level of obsessive detail that required long minutes of marveling, and some were inspiring. 2 hours is a sufficient visit, and you will want to reserve time to peruse the bookstore and get a snack, lunch, or beverage at the café. The museum is in the garment district, and the art may inspire you to pick up some fabric to make a collage.

We popped in for the Jeunet/Caro exhibit, because when in Paris, you Amélie. The design of the exhibit space is in a wagon wheel, with fixtures from the duos filmography segmented by "pie piece." An intriguing blend of movie props, original script notes, stills and videography paint a brilliant behind-the-scenes for The City of Lost Children, Delicatessen, MicMacs, Alien: Resurrection and more. A floor up, sunlight floods a year-long showcase residency called Turbulence in the Balkans, featuring Eastern European works but unfortunately, no brass bands. Sad dance party loss. Anyhoodle, the space open, well-designed and easy to get through in an hour or so. If the exhibits catch your fancy, pop in for an afternoon delight.

It's exciting to be around so much creativity and spark. The building itself is a draw, and you can enjoy the nearby fountain filled with moving statues and take the famous elevator all the way to the top for free--the view is the best, and I prefer it more than the view from the Eiffel Tower! There is also a notable bookstore filled with art folios and a wall of postcards, accessible without tickets. If you enter the paid floors, expect to be wowed for at least 2-3 hours.

Also, there was no access to the rooftop viewing platform. The building is very cool with its "inside out" design as giant pipes decorate the exterior. I remember Centre Pompidou as full of life, I hope when it returns to be able to experience its full art programming once again. Two stars because it's depressing to see the building half done & half alive.
