I can't speak to anyone else's experience, as this review is all my personal experience and opinion…read moreonly, as I know not everyone will have the same experience and I also know there are some solid techs at this company (I have personally dealth with them), but unfortunately I had a nightmare experience with mutiple bad apples in my opinion, and it unfortunately resulted in the end of my storied relationship with a plumber that I thought would be the last one I would ever need, but as they say if something seems too good to be true it usually is... I thought I had found a plumber for life, but my personal experience with Option One ended up with me feeling as though they exhibited failed ownership in addressing an issue caused by errors from their techs, lack of accountability with regard to said issue and becoming confrontational and argumentative when the issue was brought to their attention. Long story short, I had a plumbing blockage that resulted in my front yard needing to be dug up and new pipes being installed in the yard. Upon completion of the job, I experienced flooding in my yard and requested Option One to come out and address the issue. They tried to claim it was an irrigation issue not their problem, but after getting another Option One tech and a plumber from another company to come out, it was confirmed (via photos) that the flooding was due to Option One failing to connect the piping correctly. Instead of taking ownership and accountability for the issue, I was met with defensiveness, along with the above stated lack of ownership and accountability. At one point in the process I even had to ask one of the techs to leave my property because he had such a dismissive unprofessional attitude. I could go on and on but I have already wasted so much time on dealing with this issue that it isn't worth any more of my time. At the end of the day, I found another company to correct the failed work done by Option One and this company apologized on behalf of Option One, as this company felt bad that I had to go through such an ordeal, given that the plumbing industry is already viewed in a negative light by many, right up there with mechanics, car salesmen and attorneys by some. You can read my past reviews to see how much I praised this company in the past, which is why I was so disappointed by what in my personal option was a complete lack of accountability and ownership by multiple individuals across the Option One company. After giving this company multiple five star reviews over the years, I cannot recommend them to anyone anymore as the trust they gained over the years was lost in an instant and based on my personal experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone moving forward like I have done in the past.

Hi, Dilemma Sewer Line Clog-Back-up…read more Honest Resolution CALL : MAINLINE DRAINS, Lloyd Clavey 704-242-5823 A Learning Experience and a scary horrible night's sleep via Roto-Rooter. From a previous use, they knew I likely had some roots-to-grind. Upon (late) Arrival, contract signing & payment of $502. Their guy used a one size fits all auger. Did not resolve the clog but knew upfront why they were called from the prior visit. The auger guy gave it two tries & left indicating I had roots (really ...shocker!) & possibly a broken pipe. So, the sales guy shows-up indicating the auger teeth diameter would only grind that pipe area & once the auger was retracted the remaining tissue would again block the pipe. What??? So they left with a DO NOTHING $500. Except to: provide a quote to dig & fix "where they assumed" there were roots for $7k. I was also informed the entire line may need replacement with a guess-ta-mate of $12-14K. Oh and the Kicker was "Do Not Use ANY water" until ... meaning my family should move elsewhere...! SCARE Tactics ! ***USE MAINLINE DRAINS***: I obtained Lloyd's contact information through two seasoned real estate agent's excellent reviews. So the following morning, after describing my issue & money (down the stopped-up drain), Lloyd was HERE within the hour. Not only did he use a camera, he had the equipment ON SITE to clear the sewer line. He used a powerful PSI water blaster, a camera, and different sizes of auger teeth & fittings. Important to say, not only did he check, re-check, & RE-CHECK again, Lloyd did not charge MORE money. I even offered but he declined. Through this Third Generation Plumber's professionalism & honesty, he was able to locate & CLEAR the root problem "blockage". To my glee, he indicated the problem was on the city easement nearest the street. Meaning the blockage was defined to a specific area beyond where I am " NOT " responsible for the cure, $$$. So, he could have been a scammer like the above Nightmare. Instead, my cleared sewer line will give me the time I need to get the city out here to fix THEIR ISSUE on their dime, NOT mine. The day of the appointment, I was called around 8:15 to confirm that a technician would arrive between 9 and 10 am. Frank arrived in the promised window of time. I explained briefly, that I'd like to create a half bath in an existing closet. Within minutes, Frank took all of the current plumbing into consideration and was able to quote the project. Luckily, the closet is in a very central location and neighbors and kitchen and master bath. My parents have used AAA City Plumbing several times, so I know they do great work. I will still do a little research and estimate gathering prior to selecting a contractor, but overall, pleased with the initial experience.
