Love this little dog park in Broomfield! It's very close to the mall, so it's easy to fit a visit in with some shopping and dining. It's off the beaten path and fairly quiet. I love the location, alongside a marshy area with lots of light, fresh plants and shade. There's a nice short loop to walk, and some facilities around as well. The other dogs were friendly and my dog had fun walking around the path. There was a bit of water around but that's usually normal after snow. Great stop for a quick break or play time! read more

The best off-leash park in the county. There are shade, running water, several places to sit, a mountain view and a paved parking lot. Nearly all owners pick up their dog poop and are otherwise responsible and generally affable as well. It's maybe a half acre, covered with a grass-like ground cover except during the cold months, when some of it can't recover from the dog traffic, but still is nice. There are poop bag dispensers at four sites within the park. If your dog is not socialized, then you may not want to come, because the socialized dogs will likely have yours on its back. It's just a message to behave, no harm done whatever, and your dog (and maybe you) will learn something useful as well, but many people, not understanding dogs, take offense and think it's an attack. It's not. It is how dogs socialize one another. It's nearly always only when an over-excited dog charges in from the entrance gate, which is unsocial. I usually see several playful dogs greatly enjoying themselves running together or wrestling playfully, and the older and quiet ones like mine enjoy themselves as well and know how to be left alone, as they are socialized. Autrey Dog Park is a northeast turn off Rock Creek Parkway and may not be visible from the street. There is, or was, a sign. It's farther downhill past the skate park and the pickleball courts. This is a great multi-use park. There hiking/walking trails, BMX bike course, frisbee-golf course, and most off all the Superior Dog Park. The most popular aspect of the park is certainly the dog park which has a large fenced in grass area. Tgere is scattered sitting benches and a coverd gazibo. The park has partial shade but is mostly uncovered. It is an all-size dog park and by and large the dogs are great with any size dogs. A great group of people from the local neighborhood are here make for good company for when the dogs are playing. read more

I really enjoy the trails available in this park--I enjoy walking my pups around them! I'm mainly reviewing the dog park itself. I've taken my dogs there a few times, but since they're skittish I don't go there as often as I might. There are usually a lot of big dogs around, and with them being less than 6 pounds they are sometimes intimidated by the bigger dogs. I think the dog area itself is quite nicely kept and the people who frequent the park (at least from what I've seen) are very good about picking up after their pets. There are at least two pet pick-up stations and benches for the humans to chill out while the dogs play. I wish there was an area for just smaller dogs. Maybe the oval area in front can be fenced off and designated as a small dog area. I know at least a couple of people with small dogs who avoid the park because the little ones are always outnumbered. I don't doubt that some little ones can play well with the bigger dogs, but it'd be nice to have the option of a small dog area. :) read more

This review is only for the disc golf course. Don't get me wrong. I love Widespread Panic (WSFP) and disc golf. Hell, I generally play two times a day. But, I hate snakes and looking for discs. On my first and only visit to this course, my mind repeated the WSFP Tall Boy lyrcs over and over in my head: "..crawling in the darkness like a king snake in the woods...hiding in the tall grass...hiding in the tall grass...just looking for a place to shed our skin" --Except this course is in the Colorado Foothills, so the "king snake" may just really be a western rattlesnake and that is -- no bueno. Basically, there is a gravel tee box for every hole and a very very narrowly mowed path to the basket, everywhere else is, well, tall grass. No disc flies perfectly straight. Therefore, you will be searching for your disc in the tall grass, annoyingly so. Every hole took us 15 minutes longer to play than normal because we were constantly searching for our discs. Add in the fright that there may be a snake anywhere you step, and you will see that this may not be the best course to play during the Summer. I will go back to play in Autumn, Winter, or early Spring before the tall grasses grow. Then, I will update my review. For now, this course is a solid 2 Stars. If you read this and still must go before then, my advice is to bring a big stick with you. You will be in the tall grass and weeds. The course is fairly short, with only one semi long hole, # 9. However, most of your time will be spent searching, so a 25-30 minute 9 hole round will take you more like 1.5 hours. read more

First off, I love this park... It's all grass, it has poop stations, it's big but not too big you can't sit on the bench or at the tables and watch.. But, this park is plagued with irresponsible dog owners with aggressive dogs. My dog (golden retriever) has been attacked 4 times.. Call me stupid for my persistence, I kept trying to go back, thinking "today will be different..." But it never was. I feel the need to warn users that there is a big black dog named Skye and her owner, Laurie. Skye is aggressive towards submissive breeds, as her owner had told me on the separate occasions my dog was attacked. I have encountered numerous amounts of dogs that had no manners and owners that didn't seem to care. I wish I could go back to this dog park.. It's close and like I said, I love it. But until there is actual enforcement or responsibility of owners, I will not be returning. read more

I really enjoyed this dog park. It was clean and very open. The people at the park where really friendly as were their furry friends. I loved that after my dog was done playing we could walk through a trail. It was very nice and had great views of the flatirons. If you're looking for a dog park come check this one out read more

My first and last time here! The first 3-4 minutes were great. My dog was feeling out all the other pups and all was well. All of a sudden it goes to shit. A dog named Banjo (grey-black spotted cattle/heeler) started humping my dog. I get it dogs will be dogs but it doesn't mean it's okay to let your dog mount my dog nor does it mean it's cool to not even try to stop it. My dog was getting uncomfortable and I tried to pull him away. Banjo started getting aggressive with my dog and my dog reacted. The owner was nonchalant about it and acted smug. He casually strolls over so I'm assuming this happens frequently. I tried giving my dog a breather and left. When I saw they were leaving, i decided to bring him back in. They were almost out the gate but his owner couldn't get him to leave- he didn't have him on a leash. so what does he do? He runs back in and sniffs my dog and my dog starts getting rowdy. A pack of dogs run and jump on my dog while he's worked up. I felt forced to leave while everyone looked at me with some disgust like I was an irresponsible dog owner with a vicious dog while that jerk stayed there. All the commands in the world he was giving to his dog and not one time did he listen. I won't ever be back. Horrible experience!!! read more

Cute little dog park that is very easy to get to from superior. My boyfriend I don't have a yard, so we kind of use this as our yard. It is not as big as Westminster one of those, but great if you just want to get your dog out for some exercise. It's clean and typically isn't too crowded. Today, it was out of poop bags and the water hoses were closed off due to frost. However, still a Great little park! read more

This is a good dog park for our older, disabled dachshund. Lots of grass and no hills, which is good for our dog. There is a dog-level drinking fountain; a kiddie pool; seating and shade for owners. It is a good place for dogs to run and play. read more

I love this park! My dog has a great time running around the well-kept, large grassy area, and there is a good amount of shade along the fence for when it gets hot, both for humans and dogs! The kiddie-pool is a nice bonus as well. The only time we had a dog being too aggressive towards ours, the owner apologized and actually left with their dog. Great people, great space for them to run and chase each other! We are here several times a week! read more

Decent dog park, probably one of the smaller ones I've seen but all together it is good. Always friendly dogs/people to meet.
