Tony's has a really large selection of everything one might need for their car, and if they don't…read morehave it in stock, they can get it, generally very quickly. I stopped in on a Sunday to get spark plugs for my car, and they didn't have them in stock. The extremely helpful and personable person who helped me explained that he didn't have them in stock, and offered two options. He said I could run down to Cost Less Auto Parts and get them there, because that's where he was ordering them from, or I could come back in the morning, and they'd have them for me. I was extremely appreciative of his transparency, and opted to come back in the morning. One thing that really impressed me about the person who helped me is that I was next in line while he tended to a customer. While he took care of that customer, the phone rang, and he answered, asking the caller to "please hold". After he finished with his customer, he called me over to the counter. I asked, "Do you need to get that call?", and he responded, "No. You were here before they called. They're next." That was really impressive! I cannot count the number of times employees tending to me ignored me the instant a phone call came in, when they really should have done exactly what the Tony's Auto Parts employee did for me. The next morning, I called to see if my spark plugs had arrived, and the person who helped me was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. He checked and confirmed that my spark plugs had arrived. When I got to the store, the person who called me to the counter was the same person I'd spoken with on the phone, and he grabbed my spark plugs and got them to me immediately. I asked if they sold dielectric grease and anti-seize, and he said that they did. He then went to the aisle that had them, grabbed a tube of each, and brought them to me at the counter. He said that they were out of the small pouches of anti-seize, but I didn't need the big tube. He double-checked, and found more of the tiny pouches, and sold me one of those. He could have directed me to the aisle to fend for myself, but he really did an awesome job of providing outstanding customer service. The store is much larger on the inside than it looks from the outside, and they offer a much larger inventory of miscellaneous parts than you'll find at the big chains (such as a HUGE selection of hardware of various grades, racing fuel, specialty tools, etc.). I'm very impressed with Tony's Auto Parts, and will probably be stopping by very regularly since my car's now out of warranty. Tony's definitely feels like a more personal, personable, and "home town" parts store than the big chains, and that is a great thing!

Someone in passing offered a solution "try putting it on anyway, it's a common part that should fit many cars". Imagine telling someone to screw on a big Gatorade cap onto a smaller, unscrewable Sparkling Apple Cider bottle (it should just snap on). Still, they were trying to be helpful and perhaps didn't see how different the products were. Thankfully I was offered a return. Service: +0.5 Pros. Shelby M. to the rescue. The only reason I'm pulling 4 stars for this place. Had a pleasant manner with customer-first mentality. After completing the return, she was open to trying different searches in the system. Understood the dilemma of product not fitting. Suggested trying another search parameter, found exactly what we needed in the system and in their inventory. Boom. Happy happy customer. I walked in with my car's make, model, and year and hoped for the best. Tomas helped me right away and was amazing. He was patient, thorough, and honestly felt like my personal shopper for car parts. We went back and forth a couple of times testing different screws, and I was so grateful to have someone who actually knew what they were doing instead of me guessing on my own. So I ordered that and I was assured it would arrive the next day. It did I was called promptly and I was lucky ught the bus since my vehicle was rendered inoperative. I first came to this auto parts store the day after Christmas, it's a tough day for anyone to have…read moreto work and would have been understandable if they had been less than happy to be there, but that was not the case. I needed a special bit to remove my license plates screws (once you've had your plates stolen you opt for these kinds of things). I wasn't sure what bit I needed, but the guys at the store on this day were happy to let me try out everything they had. I went thru about a dozen different bits looking for the one I needed, and the staff was of good humour and helpful the whole time. I ended up not finding what I needed here, but I have to give them five stars for being so helpful on a day when most employees are giving you the stink eye for making them be at work. The service alone will make me return. END NOTE: Shortly after I left the store, I realized (d'oh) that I had used Allen key screws on the plates and that I already had a set of Allen wrenches in my car. Problem solved!
