I like Auto Zones as they generally have what you need. They also rent out tools and they have a rewards program; however, you have to spend quite a bit before you see a reward. Stopped by here to pick up some jumper cables as my sons car would not start so he had to leave it at work. They worked great. read more

Our headlight bulb was out and we had went to other places to get assistance and no one would help, we went to Autozone and they helped right away and they actually told us it wasn't a bad bulb the connection was just loose. They were all super friendly and helpful! read more

Went on for an air filter, waited in line behind a few other people. The manager was down at the end talking to a friend. Was very obvious it was a personal conversation. I asked him if the register was open, he replied with a look of disgust, and said he was helping him..... and pointed to the other guy. Went and spend my $$$$ at another shop. I have only encountered one employee that actually ticked me off, other then that this location is fine it is your typical Autozone. It is in a good location. The parking lot can get crowded. Most employees will come to the car and help you with no problems, and give you the best advice they can and product needed for the problem. The store is clean, there could be more employees during peak hours cause depending on the customer ahead of you there is going to be a wait. read more

Standard auto parts store with clean layout and seemingly friendly employees. They greeted me when I walked in and didn't bug me. Was looking for a sunshade and according to the location signage I was in the correct aisle, but after looking up and down the aisles it was clear it wasn't there so minus a half star. Also, the drink selection in the fridge up front was poor: no cold Dr Pepper in Texas means minus another half star for you. They had a cool selection of ball caps and were only 10 bucks or less which was kinda neat. Some of the steering wheel covers and hitch covers look very outdated and cheesy. One of the best things they do here is offer free testing of the car's systems. They were fairly busy when I got there but once it was my turn to get my battery tested, all went well. The lady was very helpful in helping me. I never knew they offered such services. Now only if the prices in the store were more "friendly", hahaha.... I went there late one night, just a little bit before closing for a battery to my remote car door opener. The guy behind the counter wouldn't help me with the little tester that they have available and he made me find my own battery. When I asked him if it was the right size he kinda looked at me like I was an idiot and then turned around and started talking to someone else. just rude! Unfortunately there aren't a lot of autozones to choose from in this area or I would definitely patronize a different one. read more

What a life saver. My daughters truck broke down and she happened to stop by this place and the girl at the counter (Kendal) went out and look at her truck and let her know it was a bad battery. Got my battery check out and the employee said it was bad. I ask the employee what would make a battery go dead in one year and then another in two months. He told me nothing else would and that the battery was not good and the season make them go bad. When I ask him for a pair of pliers to help taking the battery out, he gave me wire cutters. We found out later after going to another auto place they told me it was the alternator. When I later talked to the manager, I had to repeat myself twice about the problem and did not apologize about his employee. read more

This is the best store for general self-car-care in Temple. It isn't glamorous. Parking lot is tight. (It can be difficult to see South on 31st Street when pulling out of the store.) Sometimes it takes a little while (wait), but the staff generally wants the customer to be happy. Recently received WONDERFUL service from an employee named Abel Hernandez. Calm, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. He saved me several trips to and from the store. He honored a warranty. This sort of assistance is becoming more and more rare in Temple, sadly. I do not recommend going to this store. They were helpful at first, but I had to go back twice to get my refund and still it is not resolved. Went in for a bulb, employee thought it was a certain bulb and it wasn't. So we returned the incorrect bulb and he charged for the correct bulb... Turns out he couldn't install it and I needed to go to the dealership.. I kept the bulb, which I now reallize that I shouldn't have. He stated that I would get my return if I did not use it... he did the return incorrectly... Gave me the wrong bulb... Assistant Manager said he would have to look at the cameras to see who walked away with the bulb... I went to the store with the bulb he gave me and the employee could not remember what he did with the other bulb... Point is they tried making it seem like I was lying and I already had received my credit, but did not. I had all three receipts for backup.He argued with me for about 30-40 minutes which was a waste of my lunch hour... He is supposed to be calling me back about the 11.90 they owe me. I guess they forgot how to treat their customers.... Autozone's own employee does not remember what he did with the bulb... I remember that he kept it but they have to look at the cameras... REALLY? Go ahead... you will see that I am not lying and you lost a customer you at one point had. I will not recommend this store to ANYONE! read more
