I called for cables for snow for my Subaru tires. The fellow asked me what size tire and I found it on the tire and told him. He checked in his system and said they weren't in stock but that the warehouse had them. He says he'd send a driver to the warehouse and would have them for me in 30 minutes and would call me to let me know when they were in. I waited for the call and finally 2 hours later I called back and waited about 10 minutes on hold for the guy to tell me that they didn't have them at the warehouse. He was very unhelpful and I told him that and he just reiterated that they didn't have them. read more

It's an average Auto Zone. The waits are long to get help as well as to ring out. The inventory is moderate. Sometime they have what I need, sometimes they don't. This place isn't terrible, and it isn't spectacular. It's kind of like drinking a room-temperature glass of water; necessary but not satisfying or enjoyable. read more

Micheal helped me find the type of bulb my car needs, then offered to install it for me, after my purchase. It was near closing time, and he still went out if his way to help me out. Very friendly, he switched out the bulbs as fast as he could, and had me on my way home. Hopefully i wont have much more problems down the line, but if i do, now i know where to go. This is my go to store they are always helping me and my family out. I came here a few months ago to replace my mom's battery they installed it in the rain and they were brand new. I am now coming back again few months later to check back on the battery just because it was giving us problems some young guy I'm not too sure what his name is we literally came in 25 minutes before closing he helped us out with no hesitation he checked on the battery he said everything was good the battery got drained just because the car was off for about a few days but really happy with the service!!! He was shocked with the job done, sold me some new connectors for my battery and put them on for me. The store manager here did call me because I did follow through with my corporate call. OMG!! I just want to tell you that Sonny is an amazing person. My sister and I came in very discouraged because we had lost the receipt for a $118 jumper start kit and didn't think they were going to be able to exchange it! We didn't want any money back just a new charger that worked! Let me tell you Sonny took his time and looked through the computer (for a very long time) and eventually found our receipt and was able to not only exchange the unit but actually took the time to show us LADIES how to use it properly! A little history 1st. Been in Sylmar over 20 yrs. Stopped using AutoZone due to racist clerks. They did not treat you with respect unless you are Latino. Had to go there today due to other auto stores not having what I needed. The girl got what I asked for then made me stand in another line to pay due to "I'm not on a register". Next customer she helped, happened to be Latino, got their part and immediately rang them up while I'm still standing in line (SMH!). I will not patronize them ever again! A line I people are waiting for service and THREE of the employees including two managers are busy chit chatting in the back. They can see there was a line and didn't care. Mike came out to investigate the issue and found that due to an accident the trunk was bent and a new part wouldn't fix the issue. What great service! I just recently bought a 'new' used car, as my old one died (It was a 99) & the new one I leased was totalled out in a no fault accident I was involved in heading to work in Ventura a few weeks back. Yikes! Anyhow, I found this gem of a vehicle after an extensive search (2003 VW Passat V6) which was my "dream" car for a pretty owned model. The only thing "wrong" with it was it needed a new headlamp. Well, like my friend Hector always says, you install headlamps in pairs. The price was a little high compared to online ($28.99 plus taxes versus $19.99) but DANIEL was very nice, helpful & knew his stuff! I offered up the truth, I'm not great at installing stuff & the last thing I wanted to do in this 97° day on my ONE day off was fuck around with headlamps I'd wind up breaking. I kindly asked Daniel if he could guide me on how to install, and he offered to do it for me for FREE! Considering how hot it was, I walked across the street & bought him & his coworkers ice cold gatoraides for them both as a "Thank you". I drive almost 90 miles a day for work as I commute to my store in Ventura. Having a tip top commuter vehicle is important, especially with the heavy CHP presence on the 118. WARNiNG!!!!!! Everybody should stay away from this Auto Zone as they are incompetent and they are not willing to provide you with a refund on faulty merchandise, even if you have a receipt and bring it back on the same day as purchase. I purchased some valve stem covers for my Jeep and although they looked nice they were faulty as when I tried to put them on one of the covers broke. They are cheaply designed. Took them back the same day and tried to get a different set and was told I had to get the same style. Being concerned about a poor design, I asked what would happen if the second set broke as well. I was told that if they new set broke as I could get store credit? STORE CREDIT? Really? I asked them to show me their refund policy and there is nothing that mentions STORE CREDIT. It is located on the back of the receipt. It says, just bring the merchandise back within 90 days in the original packaging. Well guess what the new set broke as well but now there are two faulty valve stem covers with this set. That's a total of three faulty valve stem covers. It is obvious that there is a design flaw and I'm sure others will discover as they break as well. Two sets in a row is not happenstance. It's a design flaw. This time I'm writing the president and CEO of the company to get customer satisfaction since they don't seem to care about it at this store. Buyer beware and stay away from this store at all cost. They also said they wanted the merchandise brought back in it's original packaging so that they could resell it! WHAT! You are admitting that you knowingly sell faulty merchandiser! Wow! I'm here now, my battery is dead... They are charging it... When I first came there was about 8 people in line! They are sooo slow... It took about 20 mins from the time we walked in with the dead battery to leave the store... I came back in an hour like they asked... I stood in line again & the guy who seems to be the manager at the store decides to pass me up in line & help the 3 people behind me... When I walk up to him to just see if my battery is charged, he tells me to just go stand back in line... What the hell? This place has horrible customer service... Even the guy next to me in line says he only comes here because it's the only local auto store... Sucks, I'm used to better service at AutoZone... So I get to the counter & the guy has an attitude... The battery works... So I leave right as they are closing to get to my car & find out that they gave us the wrong belts! If I can leave 0 stars , I would. I just want to start by saying I may not know thaaaat much about cars. I went in there needing Coolant, I just didn't know exactly what kind. I stood in line waiting for someone to help me (there was no one in line mind you, it was only me), one of the workers there named Alan literally just looked at me and continues doing what he was doing. Then another worker, (Gaby) comes up to "help" me. She asks me what I need, so I started to explain I need coolant. She asked what make and model and shows me on her computer that nothing shows up. She said ohhh it's showing that we don't know spec. She offered me Universal Coolant but then said a lot of people don't like to put that in. People usually just refill what they already have in there(???).... okkk so I asked what should I do if I don't know what's already in there ? She said weeeell you can just read your manual, in the most sarcastic tone of voice. Like okay whether that's a "common sense" thing to do or not, you don't need to speak to someone like that. Would of gave them 0 stars but there wasn't an option. To start off, most of the employees have bad attitudes and work very slow. I was eventually helped by a Fernando with a smart-ass sarcastic rude attitude and negative energy. I dropped off my battery to charge it and he wanted the life story of why it happened, instead of doing his simple & basic job of plugging it up to charge. It was supposed to be charged within an hour, so I came back 2 1/2 hours later to ensure it would be ready. I came back and found out it didn't hold a charge, and Fernando claims it needs to charge longer when it obviously isn't holding a charge. I have a 3 year free battery replacement warranty and this man is hesitating to offer me a new battery while some polite woman clerk is pushing to just give me a new battery as I'm entitled to. Fernando kept pushing to want to charge the dead battery, and I ended up taking the battery to another location that had it in stock. What a waste of time this was, especially with rude the service that was given. read more
