Dave had to fit it into his packed schedule and go through 3 starters before he found one that fit(five-rib transmission in a six-rib slot). Got it back in nine days(he also fixed a leaking seal)and it's still running great. Thanks Dave. So rare to find an expert on these babies. Go out of your way to get him to work on your foreign car.

A random gas station attendant recommended this place to me a few months ago, and boy am I glad she…read moredid! Long story short, my car was overheating, not due to lack of coolant like I thought. Had my Infiniti G35x towed to Martin Automotive after giving them the details over the phone. Jamie, the service manager, called me a few hours later and let me know that the water pump was out. He told me they had to take the belts off anyways to get at the pump, so may as well replace those while they're at it (and I didn't feel at all like he was upselling me, because trust me, I'm sure he could have found a lot more wrong with the car to fix and the parts were only $50 for the belts). By midafternoon, they were done with the work. He took my credit card info over the phone, and they dropped the car off at work for me. I was so impressed that they were able to get my car in the same day, get it fixed the same day, and were even able to drop it off for me. I feel they went above and beyond in a time of crisis (had to commute to work an hour away over the weekend and husband was out of town with other car). Price seemed reasonable, but I don't have a great reference. So glad I found a reliable, trustworthy place in my new town!

Imagine my shock and surprise when Karl called an hour or so later after getting my vehicle to him that he called me with the exact diagnosis and repair cost. Karl's labor rate is very reasonable, when compared to the service and expertise you get from him. For future service, I'm patronizing Karl's garage and I highly recommend this business to anyone!

The backstory here is I was getting my oil changed a couple of months back. The Goodwrench auto shop said my back brakes were getting low and if I didn't get the brakes replaced soon I would wear through the pads and do more damaged than I wanted to. So naturally I asked around and got reccomended to Sunset Auto. Dropped my car off in the AM, got a call mid day letting me know my brakes were just fine. He said they were far from replacement and I had nothing to worry about. Picked my car up expecting to pay a good service fee for them taking a look at the car...the fee was a lot less than I had expected. Good, hardworking, honest people. You can't ask for much more when you entrust someone to take care of your multi-thousand dollar investment. He could have gone ahead and replaced the brakes like I had asked him to. But he took a look at everything and gave me a straight answer. All my car repairs will now go to Sunset.
