5 stars all around! Got a reccomendation from a co-worker to go see Matt and his team at Sunset Auto. Best advice I have taken in a long time. The backstory here is I was getting my oil changed a couple of months back. The Goodwrench auto shop said my back brakes were getting low and if I didn't get the brakes replaced soon I would wear through the pads and do more damaged than I wanted to. So naturally I asked around and got reccomended to Sunset Auto. Dropped my car off in the AM, got a call mid day letting me know my brakes were just fine. He said they were far from replacement and I had nothing to worry about. Picked my car up expecting to pay a good service fee for them taking a look at the car...the fee was a lot less than I had expected. Good, hardworking, honest people. You can't ask for much more when you entrust someone to take care of your multi-thousand dollar investment. He could have gone ahead and replaced the brakes like I had asked him to. But he took a look at everything and gave me a straight answer. All my car repairs will now go to Sunset. read more

These guys are great! Matt (the owner) is real nice guy; very personable and trustworthy. I've had major work done on my car and they were prompt and courteous. I've even not been charged for taking my car in for quick evals/diagnosis and given good advice about what the next steps would be (whether it is worth fixing or not) and never given the run around or felt pressured. Would give 0 stars if it were possible. Only go here for emissions testing, because that's free! These clowns charged my SO $60 for a diagnosis fee that was never mentioned at any point from calling to set the appointment, with no mention on their paperwork when dropping the car off, but wouldn't release the car without being paid. They even tried to hard sell him tires for the undriveable car! Unacceptable! read more

took my vehicle there for service and basically got charged $53 for parking it on the parking lot. how can you check a problem when you never even move the vehicle??? if you don't want to service my vehicle please tell me up front don't charge me $53 for parking in your parking lot!!!!! read more

This goes back to this summer,... Had a tire leak that needed to be fixed. Went to Fleet Farm to just drop off the tire so they would do it. Said the nail was too close to the side wall. Wanted me to buy 4 new tires because if they replaced just the one it would mess up my wheel alignment. I usually use Sunset for most of my car issues, not sure why I went to Fleet. Anyway,... went for a second opinion at Sunset and they had no problem fixing the flat. Didn't even charge me (maybe because I was in for other repairs in the week prior). Not that you think they fix flat tires for free for everyone. 8 months later and my tires are still going strong. If it's not broke, they won't fix it. Hard to find good, trust worthy shops. You can trust the guy's at Sunset Auto. read more

These guys are a big rip off. First off i spent 3 grand yes 3 grand to get my truck fixed. Check engine light kept coming on. After a month of their service its back on. Than i got my tires done. They failed to double check the nuts. My tire almost fell off. Someone pulled next to me to warn me how bad my tire was. I looked and yes the nuts were not secure. Than my four wheel drive costed 500 and it still doesnt work. I seriously could cry. Never again. I also talked to people at work. I work with over 300 people in falls. Other people have complained. Believe me i will never go back here and I pray no one else does. Than i also told the secretary how other people have said they tried to rip them off such as saying brakes were bad when they werent. Another one had his muffler done which fell off after paying. It just sucks. She told me, "well mam you did have a lot to look at with your truck and there was a lot to fix." Are you kidding me. They are an auto shop. They had my truck 2 weeks. I wish i could sue them. read more

I have worked with Matt for over 2 years and never have I been displeased. Accurate, timely service.

I took my car to Sunset Auto because I was not getting heat in my car and it was over heating. They said they looked at my car and told us that the head gasket needed to be fixed which would cost $800-$1,600. They charged me $75 to look at my car, but since they could not work on my car for another week so we took the car home. I went to a different mechanic because we needed the car fixed right away. The other place called and said nothing was wrong with the head gasket and the only thing wrong was the hoses and clamps were loose. All they had to do was tighten those and now we have heat and the car is not over heating anymore. Sunset auto said he had heat in the car until he drove it 10 miles then the car stopped heating. That was a lie because it takes a long time for that car to heat up and at that point before it was fixed it did not heat at all. They dried to take over $1000 from me for something that did not even need to be fixed. These people are a joke. I would not recommend going to this place. They take your money for things that do not need to be fixed. read more
