Bad services. I came here to get my battery charge (emergency) but these people fine have no mercy. I would like to know or speak to manager about your policy? Is there a certain time that we can't come in to get our battery charge? So right now it's 6:10 pm, since the employees says it's dark and one person is about to go home and they can't leave the store? Seriously, my car is literally outside and is your job to serve customer when they are in need. I've worked in retail/customer service for a long time and when customer come to ask for help even though it's my time to go home I still go above and beyond that expectation to help a customer and if you can just help them wait for a minutes won't hurt your hours right? NOT HELPFUL AT ALL! All I wanted were some brake lights to be put on my car. Simple right? WRONG! I spent half my lunch hour waiting around for some rude folks to point to where my lights were. Then he didn't even ask if he could help me put them in until I told him that the folks near my house normally do. He came outside to look at my car. He ripped apart my carpet in my trunk to tell me that he couldn't do it (mind you he had no tools). I laughed at him and told him he wasted my entire lunch. These folks were great in an emergency! I had a flat tire on a rainy night in Richmond, CA and realized I had no jack or tire wrench. So I drove on the rim to Autozone. Larry C. was super nice and helpful. He helped me pick out a good jack and tire wrench, and then proceeded to help me jack up the car and get the spare on. read more

Call this morning to find out if I could get help installing the windshield wiper blades I was going to purchase. I was told if I came in and the store was not busy that they would be able to help me. When I went in I right away noticed that they had some security guards in the store which made me feel safe having them work on my car in the parking lot. Matt helped me and went above and beyond! He was informative. Help me look up the size blades I needed. Help me choose the right brand for the type of blades I was looking for. He then came out to the car and help me install them and showed me how I could do it next time. But in all that he did not make me feel stupid. He treated me with respect. For men to show a woman something about a car item that is huge! I would definitely recommend the store! I would come back here again anytime. read more

Went here to grab a tail light and a brake light. They were easy to locate and were reasonably priced. Service definitely needs some improvements! I couldn't seem to locate any cashiers, and mistook the security guard for one. Eventually someone came out from the back and rang me up. Probably won't return unless my battery dies. Even so that is a MAYBE! If they are that slow just ringing me up, I can imagine what the wait time for a battery charge would be?! read more

Stay away from this location and here's 3 legit main reasons why. To start from finish my experience as I approached the store for services. #1 Outside of the store there's tons of panhandlers hanging out right I front of the entrance who hound you for money. Then walking inside your hit by the security guard with the huge .40 cal pistol on guard for the business. Pretty sketchy if you ask me, this is an auto store not a prison. #2 Employes seem to be focused on the girl with some tight booty shorts on so my customer service experience was horrible. Waited around forever for about 5 mins before I even got eye contact then another 2-3 mins before I was spoke too. 8 mins is unacceptable waiting period when you can obviously see staff goofing off with a female. #3 My reason for going to autozone is because they have a nationwide service & return policy. I bought a LT1 distributor from a Oakland location 2 days prior & everything was absolutely new when I tried to return the product with receipt to Richmond because I was unable to travel back to Oakland. I was denied the privilege to do so by the cashier. So I explained how important it was for me to return the item to the assistant manager. Then bam turned down again. I also didn't appreciate how these guys spoke clear english but once they started talking about my return only spoke Spanish. Anyhow if I were you I would definitely just avoid this place by all means necessary. read more

First, parking at this shopping center is abysmal and it is not safe. Second they require the paper receipt to give refund on defective products they sell, even if they don't give it back to you when you make a partial return. Details: This Autozone sold me a defective jumpstarter device. That is something you buy for emergencies and when it does not work it is a big deal. It had a "FL" error code that never went away when I first tried to charge it up overnight. When I took it back I assumed they would refund without receipt if I had my charge card. No they want to make it hard to return things so they demanded I show a receipt. I got it out of my car. I had also bought a battery. I gave them my receipt. He never gave it back. When I asked for it back he said why do you want that. I said because I might want to return the battery too and you require the receipt. I said it would have been my tough luck if I did not remember to ask for my receipt back, right. Never got an apology, nothing. Instead he was pissed that I pointed out the truth and was rude about it. I will never buy here again. Scum. I'll bet you that defective jumpstarter device was just put back on the shelf. When I bought it the same guy, black dude and possibly the manager, lied and told me I did not need to charge it overnight before using it, to close the sale. When I got home I saw the instructions were very short and said 30 hours minimum. It's O'Reilly's for me from now on. Had very good experience with one nearby in El Cerrito where the guy went out of his way to assist me on a $4 purchase and they were not busy at all. This Autozone is tiny and still understaffed with long wait times every time I have been there. read more

This store each time gets worse. -10-15 minutes to pay - not friendly employees - you ask for items they don't even check they told you ( no we don't have ) - the worse DOWNSISTEM ( NO CARDS ).......... SO you can't not get rewards points... No bueno. read more

I went to auto-zone for some oil. I was very impressed by the young clerk Eric, who helped us. I didn't have to ask, he immediately saw our lost and confused look and jumped right in to help. He was so genuinely helpful in an area that is often the unfriendly opposite. I was very impressed with his knowledge. I try to give credit where it's due, especially in response to great costumer service. He was great. That boy needs a raise. read more

I couldn't give them a zero so one star will have to do.I called to get a part had my part number she looked it up and said she was going to check to see if it was in.Well I must still be on hold because no one ever came back. It took so long I was able to call the San Pablo autozone and get the part researched and held all while I was on the phone holding with the Macdonald autozone. Call them and you will see what I mean take my advice and just go to the San Pablo autozone this one is not worth the time. read more

I have this review one star for the store manager. The customer service that Israel gave was unacceptable, unprofessional, and highly rude. I never had a problem when I needed assistance at this store, but the male that helped me today gave the impression that he didn't care- with the tone of voice, his body language of him leaning on the desk and the face expression saying "ugh what!" Then to top it off when I purchased my battery I did not get help from him asking to take it out to the care, he just walked away- yes no receipt was given a reminder I had my 2 1/2 twin daughters with me.
