When I told him what the item was, another female employee came over and said they did not have it in stock. The gentleman and the lady went into the back for a moment and I overheard her saying that "we are not going to sell something at that price. It's supposed to be $90." They proceeded to tell me that other stores had it that were significantly out-of-the-way for me. Sounds like some potential shady leadership decisions behind the scenes. I have used Broughton Appliance Repair twice during the past year or so and they have done a great job with the repairs and at a reasonable price. I called them to repair a newer model GE dishwasher and just recently used them to repair a 11 year old Whirlpool refrigerator. I was very happy with the customer service I received on the phone when I called and was just as happy with the repair and price. Considering my experience with Broughton I will continue to use them for any future appliance repairs. Thanks for saving my 11-year old refrigerator.

We had this company come to the house to repair a washing machine. In all honesty, we have an…read moreextended warranty and this machine has been a problem since we got it. Another company came to "fix" it twice and it was never truly repaired. Whirlpool asked if they could send another company and they chose this business. I told the office manager what was going on. I then told Kemp, the repair man when he arrived; the machine had been "repaired" twice but was still not working. He spoke with the Whirlpool hotline and they asked him to order the part (same one that had been replaced twice) and install it. Kemp left my house telling me he would order the part and be back with another tech to make the repair. Fast forward to over two weeks later and I still had not heard from them. I called the office and was told they denied the repair so no one would be coming. When I questioned why, they told me that Kemp had told me that the day he came. WRONG!!! He left telling me he would be back with the part and another tech to install it when it arrived. I would say they have very poor communication, but they actually just don't communicate at all. So now after waiting over two weeks since his first visit, I am back to square one to try and get it fixed.

So, I began my custom wheel purchasing journey in Richmond. I visited the wheel shops up and down Broad Street, and did some shopping online. I found RNR where Ian spent time explaining the differences in wheels and helped me determine what was the proper fit and best look for my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited. Unlike some of the other local shops he did not make me feel like I was asking too many questions and he pointed out things I had not thought of. Once I made my choice he ordered the wheels and had them in and installed the next day. Awesome customer service from the moment I walked in the door! I sat in the waiting area while my wheels were being installed and had the opportunity to observe other RNR staff members interact with customers. Each person was professional, courteous and very helpful. In fact there were a couple older ladies in getting new tires and the staff was very helpful and patient with them. My wheels look great and while I had my existing tires mounted on them I do plan to go to RNR when it is time to buy new tires.

This location sits directly beside an Auto Zone, but since Advance Auto advertises the free battery testing and replacement services, I choose Advance. The associate was incredibly helpful and attentive. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was how he talked around the core fee and how it works. You know how you catch someone in a lie and they take detours instead of providing a straight answer? He was honest but very indirect about it. The math on the screen told me everything I needed to know. The core refund is just a wash, not a discount on the price of the battery, i.e., they added $22 to the price of the battery and then took the $22 off. Anyways, he replaced the battery very quickly and we were promptly on our way. As easy as it is to change a battery, I still hope they never stop offering this gratis service.

They had a battery in stock and I agreed to purchase. The young man was about to replace ; however a store manager would not allow him to replace. Her excuse was that due to the year and model of the vehicle that they could not replace it. It had been replaced by an Advance Auto Store employee in the past. I refused to due business there and went to another Advance Auto Parts location were it was changed without any issues.
