Ordered a part (alternator) for our only vehicle from their site at 12:00 noon on 1/3/22 for next day delivery. Mind you, the item is housed per their website less than 15 miles away from us (in Mechanicsville). I placed a call to the customer service dept and was told the "hub" closed at 5pm yesterday due to weather. Was told the item now wouldn't be delivered until 1/5. I stated this is unacceptable. I ordered at 12 noon. If fed ex picks up at 9 pm central time, why wasn't the item put out by auto zone so it could be taken by fed ex for next day delivery as promised?? What'd I get?? Apologies. That's it. Well my son has COVID, high fever and this is our only vehicle. No way to get to the grocery store and I wouldn't want anyone to take me as I've been in the house with him. I depended on getting that item AS PROMISED. I even said it's less than 15 miles from me. Suggested perhaps they could deliver it to me as it's fairly close. You'd have thought I suggested they give me a million dollars. Smart ass supervisor. Advance, NAPA, or O'Reilly's will get my business from now on. I don't care if it's more expensive. The gentleman and the lady went into the back for a moment and I overheard her saying that "we are not going to sell something at that price. It's supposed to be $90." So, I began my custom wheel purchasing journey in Richmond. I visited the wheel shops up and down Broad Street, and did some shopping online. I found RNR where Ian spent time explaining the differences in wheels and helped me determine what was the proper fit and best look for my 2012 Wrangler Unlimited. Unlike some of the other local shops he did not make me feel like I was asking too many questions and he pointed out things I had not thought of. Once I made my choice he ordered the wheels and had them in and installed the next day. Awesome customer service from the moment I walked in the door! I sat in the waiting area while my wheels were being installed and had the opportunity to observe other RNR staff members interact with customers. Each person was professional, courteous and very helpful. In fact there were a couple older ladies in getting new tires and the staff was very helpful and patient with them. My wheels look great and while I had my existing tires mounted on them I do plan to go to RNR when it is time to buy new tires.
