But on the evening of March 22, 2025 I was the recipient of exceptional, very exceptional service. Lazy Saturday it was until my teenager made the distress call- car not starting. Drove to her location and jump started her car then drove straight to Advanced Auto - short pump. Exceptional patient understanding service is what I received as I explained the situation. Team member was responsive enough to provide me with a much better battery than the.one.in.the vehicle. And the AA team was just beginning. I was in for a real treat when Mr Carroll wheeled out his tool cart and got to the new battery installation. I have been on several ends of auto personnel treatment- mostly different when i am with a 2024 year vehicle than with an older vehicle. As a matter of fact, in another automobile workshop I was told, boldfaced and all, that nothing could be done for my older vehicle. A statement I would file away as I, carefully, stayed clear of that shop - with the newer vehicles and same older vehicle they'd written off. 7years after that remark, the vehicle is still running okay. So Mr Carroll installed this battery meticulously. Not just dumping it in but carefully tightening the terminals, ensuring snug fitting, applying anti-corrosives and yes wait for it...ensuring that there was no red battery light on the dashboard after installation. Thank you team AA short pump. Thank you for being consumate professionals. This evening, by your unplanned actions, I have passed the AA baton to my teenage daughter. You have a new customer.

Upon arriving you walk into a little trailer, where there were 3 young girls (not hot btw), that offered no assistance, and all seemed to just completely hate their jobs and know nothing about cars. Pay your 2 dollars and your in. The website claims they have 1200 cars onsite, this is complete and utter lie, there may be 200 max, and along the treeline is stacks of crushed cars. Are they counting the mountain of already processed/crushed cars as available parts cars? I don't know but still not even close to the claimed 1200. Over half of the cars are sitting flat in the dirt! Not set up on welded spares wheels, so if any of those cars you need suspension parts, transmission, diff, or access to anything under the car it isn't possible, and they won't pick it up, move it, or pull the part for you. What is the mindset behind this??? The cars in NO sort of ORDER What-so-ever! Every yard I have ever been to has some sort of field order, They are placed in designated sections of some sort like Imports, Domestic, Ford, Honda, Trucks, Vans, etc... This place, NOTHING, you have to walk the entire yard to see what they have! Luckily you can walk this entire dump with essentially no stock in about 4 minutes. You'll see a Saturn beside a Van, beside a Boat, beside an Oldsmobile. Makes no sense. The selection of cars is the worst I have ever seen. I needed some 98-2011 ranger and explorer parts. there were 3 squarebody rangers there from the early 80's, and that is it? Seriously? I suppose the other good junk yards buy all the usable cars and Pop's only gets the leftovers that no other yards wanted to buy. The ford ranger sold 100's of millions how in the heck does a junk yard not not have a single one, NOT 1???? I have been going to ChesterfieldAutoParts (CAP), my whole life, and they never have any less than a dozen rangers and a few dozen explorers. I did see a dozen Saturns. Who the heck still has a saturn let alone fixes those piles of junk. The plastic body panels explode into shattered bits in anytype of accident and they all just get totaled never fixed. Google pictures of saturn accidents, they are hilarious. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME going to POP's, what a waste of my time. They should just close the doors now and stop embarrassing themselves.

It was…read morelightly raining on this chilly winter's eve, and I noticed the Auto Zone in the same complex where I worked. It was already dark, but I knew the forecast was calling for wet weather all week and I wanted to be prepared! Safety first! So I ventured in and asked the man at the counter, Bill, for some Rainex wipers. While he searched the computer, I checked out the store. It was incredibly organized and clean! The front aisle even had a display of toys, car accessories, candies and snacks. Bill pecked away at the computer and found the right size for my vehicle. He suggested the premium ones for my SUV, and although they were pricey, I was fine with paying for high quality wipers that wouldn't have to be replaced as often. Bill, and his co-worker, Ei, kindly donned their rain gear replaced my windshield wipers in the rain!! They were so nice and helpful! I was extremely impressed by their customer service! The wipers worked great, no streaking or gaps! I knew they wouldn't "steer" me wrong! I felt safer on the road and would most definitely come back here for future car needs! If you're in the market for car batteries, car mats, keyless remotes, headlights, car oil or fluids, etc. get into the zone... Auto Zone!

I took my Jaguar into the Richmond service department due to a recall notice I received directly…read morefrom Jaguar. In addition to the recall, my dashboard was displaying an "SOS System" error. After dropping off my vehicle, I received a call from the service advisor the next day. He told me the recall-related system update had been completed and that the SOS error was resolved as a result of the update--implying that no further work was needed. Great, or so I thought. When I picked up my vehicle, I was shocked to see a $250 charge on my bill for an "SOS system diagnostic." I questioned this, especially since the advisor had explicitly told me over the phone that the issue had been resolved by the recall update. His story changed immediately. He now claimed they did the diagnostic before performing the update--something he absolutely did not mention on the phone. Then he backtracked again, saying they had to be cautious and do the diagnostic first in case the update caused further issues. That's not only contradictory--it makes no sense. I told him again: the update fixed the issue, you said no additional action was needed, and I was never told about any charge. His final excuse? "Well, the tech has to be paid for his time." That's not how recall work operates. By federal law, recall repairs must be provided free of charge on cars up to 15 years old. My car is only 8. I was never informed there would be a charge, never given a chance to approve or decline it, and the issue resolved itself with the recall update. Charging $250 for something that didn't need diagnosing--after telling me it was already fixed--is dishonest and unacceptable. This experience was incredibly disappointing. The lack of transparency and shifting explanations from the service advisor made it clear that customer trust and fair pricing are not priorities here. I expected better from Jaguar. I won't be returning to this service center again, and I urge others to get everything in writing before agreeing to anything here.

Let me start by saying I love my Range Rover, but I'll never take it to Land Rover Richmond…read more(Midlothian) again. Recently, I brought my truck in because the horn stopped working. Very important to fix... but I felt bad bringing it in for something so small, so I asked them to change the spark plugs at the same time so they could make a few bucks. $500 to change the spark plugs. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with the horn and charged me to replace the horns with new OEMs. Still didn't work, so they gave up. WHAT?!? They mentioned "because your car is more than 10 years old, we can't warrantee any of the work we do". WTF?!? So a place that's supposed to be filled with Range Rover experts doesn't have any Range Rover experts on site? Story gets worse. They called me and said they spotted a coolant leak. Mind you, I saw ZERO evidence of a coolant leak where we park. Never a single leak in years. But, I paid them $1500 anyway to change a coolant line (highway robbery) as a precaution. A few days later, my 16-yo daughter got stranded due to overheating! In essence, I paid Land Rover $1500 to give me a dangerous problem I didn't already have. I never should have let these ppl touch my car. I got the repairs needed elsewhere at a reputable shop with real mechanics and had to laugh at how unskilled the mechanics at Land Rover must be these days. What a shame. In my experience, Land Rover Richmond is filled with "worky tickets" who pad your bill with unnecessary work while causing problems you didn't have so they can maximize profit. Guess it doesn't matter to Land Rover Richmond if they endanger their drivers. Shame on them.
