Wasn't 100% sure it was the battery so drove to my closest Advanced Auto Parts on Moores lane in Brentwood and requested their complementary battery test. Was just me taking care of this as my husband was out of town and I had just taken on a foster hospice dog that cannot be left alone so he was in the car with me. One of their employees, Dana, went above and beyond to accommodate me and my stressful situation. Dana happily tested the battery, finding it to be in need of replacement, and then quoted me the price; $255 which included the tax, core exchange, battery, and install. I could not believe the difference, not only in price, but that this wonderful company was willing to install it for me as well -zero charge! I was so grateful! Especially at a time like this during Christmas coupled w/several expensive repairs we are trying facing at our home from leaky roof to main floor of our home sinking into our crawlspace -the money savings Advanced Auto Parts saved us from taking it into the shop was a godsend! An extra appreciative shout out to employee, Dana -she not only incredibly professional, and in all around bad @ss chick with her mechanical knowledge and capability, but also an incredibly compassionate and professional person who, if I own my owned business, I would I want to clone her and have her work, my companies. She is a true asset to this company who, having my first experience with this establishment, has made me a new lifelong customer as well as my husband, and they will get our recommendation for anyone whoever ever asks! They were very forthcoming about what was going on with my car and even took the time to show me the issues firsthand. I don't know many mechanics who would do that rather than simply tell you about the problem. I really appreciated that extra step. They truly went the extra mile for me when I was stressed about unexpected expenses and repairs, especially since my car wasn't safe to drive. I felt well taken care of, and I'm thrilled to have found a mechanic I feel comfortable going to now. It ended up being exactly what I expected. There was one unexpected piece to the puzzle that neither of us anticipated, but they let me know about it right away. They asked for my permission before proceeding and took the time to walk me through why the repair was necessary and important. I even did a little research while we were talking and quickly realized they weren't exaggerating or trying to upsell me. They do charge a service fee upfront, but it's very reasonable, and they're completely transparent about it. I made an appointment, and they were able to get me in and out the very same day. Overall, I was impressed and excited to find a mechanic I trust and feel comfortable going to; especially since they're within walking distance of my home.

I shared my situation with JJ and he said they had over 85 appointments for service on this Monday but he would see what he could do. Not only did he fit my car in for a a replacement thermostat, he got the Palisade repaired and out the door in a few hours. The whole repair was under warranty so there was no charge. Tyler's Response: "We have the part on order, possibly arriving next week." Follow-Up Question: "Thanks, Tyler. How much is the part?" Response: "We should be able to take care of that for you." These vague replies feel like they're from a poorly programmed chatbot, not a service manager. I still have no pricing or timeline.
