The next day I get a call and was told the transmission was ground up. So our vehicle needed a new transfer case and a new transmission. The total cost would be $4000. We agreed on the cost and told them to fix it. After a week they called and said the got the transmission in and everything looked great but they were waiting on a transmission filter and would be good to go the following Monday. The following Monday rolled around and we were told that the new transmission was faulty and they would have to get a different one. That happened 3 more times only for them to tell us they couldn't figure it out. So who is to say if it Really needed a new transmission. We went to pick up our vehicle only to find they cut our exhaust out. Without an explanation. They did something to our battery. My guess is they swapped it out. I would of been able to check this if there were not a bunch of parts they left in our trunk which is were our battery is. They lost the fuse panel cover. This is by far the worst experience from a so called professional business I have ever seen. Since the battery wasn't working that meant when I pulled the vehicle back home there was no hazards or steering. DO NOT TRUST THEM. The word around locals and an ex-employee is that the employees are not certified mechanics. They are random high school kids.

I haven't had an issue they haven't been able to solve. I also like coupons. Most of the time, Vavolinae works with them to offer their customers discounts. My next oil change will come at $7 off. I am a fan! I've been coming here since they were IndyTire. And we came when my 32 year old son was a child. My son now says the same - he uses and trusts Best-One!

Would give zero stars if that were an option…read more I originally went to Best-One of Indy in Castleton for new tires and had a good experience, so I returned for an oil change. Big mistake. The oil change itself took about 30 minutes. Then they told me I needed a cabin air filter. Fine. What they failed to mention was that I'd be sitting there another 20 minutes waiting for someone to deliver the filter from the parts store. Then came the bill--$120 for an oil change and cabin air filter. They claimed my car required extra oil, which supposedly justified the higher price. I've looked into it and can't find anything that supports that claim. Unfortunately, that wasn't even the worst part. Within days, my car started acting up. A warning light came on, it struggled to accelerate, and the dealer found a cylinder misfire. The code cleared, so I drove it home. A short time later, while driving around 35 mph, the engine shut off completely. Thankfully, it restarted, but it began idling high, and there was a metallic clanking noise coming from the engine. I took it back to the dealer. After running diagnostics and performing another oil change, they determined that the aftermarket oil filter installed by Best-One was causing the problem. I had to pay another $285 to correct an issue that never should have happened in the first place. As soon as the correct filter was installed, my car ran perfectly again. I emailed Best-One twice requesting a refund and reimbursement, and provided all documentation showing them that it was caused by their faulty oil filter. No response. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Still no response. I've now filed with the Indiana Attorney General. My only other option is to file a credit card chargeback and absorb the $285 repair bill myself. This wasn't just poor customer service--it was a complete lack of accountability. They took my money, created a much bigger problem, and then ignored every attempt to make it right. Avoid this location. I drive a very common vehicle. There is absolutely no excuse for an oil change to end with an engine shutting off in traffic and hundreds of dollars in additional repair costs. Don't find out the hard way like I did.

Ultimately, the process of buying a car is just not fun. It takes a long time, there's a lot of waiting, and heavy decisions to be made. But they make it as smooth and painless as possible. I've seen Hebert and Cody, both a handful of times--and they're awesome! While they could easily take advantage of a girl who doesn't know what she wants, I feel like they look out for me and genuinely try to get the best deal. Last time, one of the salespeople gave me advice that saved me probably $100/month on my car payment. When I'm ready to buy a new car, this will undoubtedly be the only stop I make. The service department treats my car like a baby. They always keep me informed, prices are reasonable, and they are knowledgeable and efficient. I've had particularly great service from Brandon. Like I said--getting your car serviced is not fun, but they keep the waiting area clean and well stocked with complimentary coffee, water, and snacks. The waiting area is also quiet and reasonably comfortable. I honestly wouldn't even consider taking my car somewhere else unless it was an emergency.

My service from Penske is always great, but this time it was quick and efficient... so quick I didn't even have to get out of the car this time.
