I have been boycotting the AutoZome at 12th and K for almost 10 years due to poor customer service and was hoping this location would have better staffing. However, I was wrong. I stopped in today looking to get oil and filters for two different vehicles, a SUV and a motorcycle, but ended up leaving empty handed, and came close to earning myself a court case. The assistant manager there was rude, condescending and very unknowledgeable. There was a time when, and if you went into AutoZone, and the advertised special was out of stock, they would at least substitute a Fram brand of whatever, or some other house brand, and allow the customer to go on their merry way. This dude, however, wanted to act like a %#$&@, and be disrespectful. Fortunately for him, I finished my probation, completed my court ordered anger management courses, and decided to pull my debit card out of the terminal and go home before I did something that would have altered both our futures. I hereby swear, I will NEVER set foot in an AutoZone store ever again. Judging from all the 2 and 3 star averages for nearly every AutoZone in the Antelope Valley, I am not the only person who feels this way. I can't wait for them to go bankrupt like Blockbuster did when they too thought they had the market cornered and could treat their customers like crap. Then Netflix came along and demolished them. One day soon, somebody is going to create a website that can keep track of a customer's car and maintenance schedule and automatically send out tune up kits and fast shipping for one-off items, straight to their door. At which time the days of dealing with A-holes behind a counter who think they can talk to you in any kind of way will be over. read more

I m so happy with this store! My "check engine" light was on and needless to say that I was totally worried! A friend recommended that I go to this store and I m so glad that I did! The staff were very welcoming and considerate! Joanna seeing the panic in my face assisted me immediately and she run a diagnostic on my car. She printed out the report and gave it to me. I bought the parts necessary and even recommended a mobile mechanic. In addition, she help me communicate with the mechanic that spoke limited English as my Spanish are just as limited also. Furthermore, I decided to buy an air filter for my car and she change my old filter with no hesitation! Joanna is very very knowledgeable about cars, provides exceptional customer service and is a truly beautiful human being! She made my visit to this store a memorable one and I can honestly say they gained a new loyal customer!!!! The manager or lady in charge told me to take my recicle oil back with me and come back tomorrow because "their tank is full" how hard can it be to keep my oil jugs in their back room and recycle it tomorrow ? I would give 0 stars if I could. My husband purchased a battery from this store. The battery died while still under warranty. My husband brought in the old battery and got an exchange battery. He was given the wrong battery, and it fried the computer components of his truck and it will not start as a result. We have tried calling the manager & the corporate office several times, to no avail. This company needs to do good the error on their part. We need to have a car, and we are scrambling for rides to and from work. No one is returning our call. Corporate's lack of concern for the hardship and stress caused as a result of an error on their part, is disheartening and frustrating. I am prepared to get an attorney if that is what I need to get their attention. Anyone reading this rating, consider yourself warned! read more

Most of the folks are pretty friendly and helpful here. The prices are not bad depending on which parts you need. Always bring your core (the part you're replacing) with you to lower your cost. The Duralast batteries are a good value with good warranties. Be sure to provide your name and information when making big purchases so that they have a record of the sale in case something goes wrong (no need to save the receipt when you do this). I only buy specialty tools or hard to find parts/products here that I can't find elsewhere-or if I need something right now and can't wait a few days (e.g. gaskets, thermostats, etc.). You can always check online first to see if they have what you're looking for in stock. This location is my preferred AutoZone out of the 5/6 other ones throughout the A.V. It's always well-stocked, clean, and staffed accordingly. read more

My husband was here last week 3 times in the same day due to not getting the right part, but that wasn't the problem. The third time he went back there was an elderly gentleman who was confused by the line situation. My husband told him to go ahead and go in front of him once it was his turn because he felt bad, the employee did not appreciate that for some unknown reason and forced my husband to go to the back of the line for forfeiting his turn. Pretty pathetic to punish someone for being polite to a clearly confused elderly man. They have lost our business. A little compassion goes a long way in this already ugly world we live in. read more

BEWARE!!! Free battery check/charging! I took a battery her because they offer free battery check and free battery charging. so I dropped it off and returned later in the day and they told me the battery would not take a charge and that I would need a new one. I left with my battery and came home and put it on my neighbors charger and it accepted the charge and worked just fine. Shame on you Autozone! read more

Best customer service provided then at all the other locations . I had to return a headlight bulb I bought at another location after I was told this was the only headlight for my vehicle . They not only took the return the manager offered to come out and check it for me to make sure it was the right one. Although they were busy and about to close , he came out and quickly installed it for me. I really appreciated not having to get back on the road with a headlight out at night with my children. I believe Heidi was the nice young woman who had helped me out. This was on 5/11/20 at 8:15 pm or so. She was so understanding and filled with smiles. It simply made my day as I had been having a horrible week due to car troubles. Heidi pointed me to everything I needed and even notified me of the refund I could get from returning my can of refrigerant (AC Pro). Placed an order online b/c covid.. charged $$ for delivery.. (ship to home) and then get an email saying to come pick up my order at the store.. Asked why it's not getting sent to my house? CSR told me they can't ship the item b/c it's an in store item.. okay then can you just refund the order? CSR: no I can't make changes to the order.. Was refunded for the item but not the shipping. The manager in the autozone on ave L is not very helpful. I don't know how many managers they have or his name but it is the older guy. He does the minimum to help customers find parts. Two times within the past couple of weeks I've been in there looking for certain parts and if he doesn't find it the first time he says we don't have it. Doesn't even make an effort to look under other names or search. I've had to go to other stores where they do help to get my parts. read more

I am so impressed with this place. I have been coming here for 6 years. I won't go anywhere else. Tonie is one of the store managers. Obviously they train their employees in exceptional customer service and integrity. The evening before Thankgiving my battery died. I went to Autozone to get another battery. The wonderful young man helping me Caleb was so honest. He told me that my battery was from another competitor and that I should go there to see if the battery was under warranty. I was actually disappointed to not be able to give AutoZone my service. When I called the competitor and learned the battery wasn't covered I felt almost happy. Lol. I went back into the store and bought a new battery from AutoZone! Caleb loaned me the tools and helped me install the new one with ease. I was so grateful. This isn't the first time I have encountered this young man and his incredible customer service and helpfulness. Every time I've had a question or needed some assistance this store and either Caleb or another great employee has come to my aid with honesty and superior professionalism. So he buys the "brake grease" that the cashier offers. This product eat the rubber boot for the caliper bolt. These people know nothing about cars at this store. It's a piety that autozone will hire anyone with a pulse and no common sense in auto repair. I will never go here again due to the lack of knowledge. read more

I don't really leave reviews but this guy Ron R helped me out. He's a young black dude that has the most positive helpful attitude I've come across in retail. Personally this is a review about him and not autozone. I couldn't care less about corporate oversight or the company as a whole. Ron replaced a battery for me and we had good conversation and he even tried to find out when my last battery was purchased for a discount. This store is always understaffed by a long shot I waited 15 mins to get a light bulb size and and ended up walking out because there's 2 people at the counter and 9 customers waiting. HIRE SOME MORE PEOPLE or at least have more on their clock your wait time is horrible guys come on. read more
