The staff is very friendly and have great customer service. They greet customers as they come in even if they aren't going to be able to assist immediately. Shouts out to Caleb M, Tenisha and Christopher who have all helped in the past. This is a smaller store than the one on 10 st but unless the part isn't at this location I'll pass on going to the other store. I went I for an alternator but they didn't have the one for my truck onsite they asked if I want to wait on an order or go to another location. Of course I chose the later do immediate gratification They gave me a little receipt with what I needed and sent me on my way. I get to the other store and for11 whole mins not one person in store acknowledged me or the other man in line and there were at least 6 employees in the store. You know how I know cause they all walked past us 1-3 times each. The held a little meeting about shipping parts out just far enough back we could hear and see them but not a one bothered to say "Hey give us a second and someone will be right with you. A lady from far in back that was one of the original 6 came to assist. Yes this store has 7 employees and our line got up to four customers before anyone broke up convo to help. So I say all this to say if you can visit this store over any others in area because they see their customers! read more

For a nation-wide auto store this branch has a small town neighborhood auto store feel to me. They are super helpful and though it's small store they carry most of the essentials you need - batteries, light bulbs, windshield wipers etc. I haven't had a problem finding what I needed and they always offer to help install small parts. read more

Today was the day I was planing for. First I took her to get her food at Poke to Me. As I was driving away same lot, I asked if she could run into Autozone for Blinker Fluid. On her way in she saw a debit card and I told her to take it in. The first time she went in the nice lady told her there was no such thing. I asked her to read the labels in the fluid isle. Yes, I stayed in the car lmbo. She came out the second time and said the guy told her she was getting pranked I was busted, she was laughing after that. Lo and behold as we were talking about the Blinker Fluid, the card owner ran in and our one n only was doing her best to be serious with me as I was laughing, making her laugh. The young man came out and thanked her for returning it. That's what we do as a family. We find people's things and return them. Thank you all at AutoZone, you were wonderful and kind. Don't bother asking the shorter gentleman in the gray shirt for help because everything will be 'I don't know'. When it's literally your job to be helpful and knowledgeable, oh and if you ask too many questions he gets visibly irritated. My questions weren't difficult because when I asked the other gentlemen in the gray shirt he knew and was helpful in finding the tool I needed and so were the ladies the day before when I went in. Tonight we had an unpleasant experience. We were in need of a part due to an emergency about 8 PM August 24, 2020. We realized the time was a little late, so we took the precaution to call the store and double check what time it closed. We spoke with RENEE, a young man who advised us that as long as we got there BEFORE 9 PM we would be okay. We arrived about 8:55 PM, but trusted what RENEE told us and thought we'd be okay. He had the doors locked and would not allow us in. He could've saved us time, and gas had he let us know he would close the doors before 9 PM, instead he told us as long as we arrived before 9PM which we did, we would be okay. My favorite Auto Zone because the employees here take care of customers just like they should. I was just there with a battery that went bad and was also purchase at this same location with warranty. Nonetheless, Douglas and the manager Melissa took care of the situation with no hesitation and exchanged it for a new battery. This place is pure customer confusion. The people that work in this store constantly switch cash registers causing customers to make multiples lines. When they do this, people that have been waiting in line get passed up by people that just walked in. The workers in the store don't care and this causes me to chew out whoever is working a register that does this. They really need to designate where the lines start and stay on one damn register. One older lady that works in this store constantly does this every time I go in there, and I check her every time. Product wise they usually have whatever I'm looking for, but customer service wise this place sucks and I don't expect it to change. Came in once to bring my used oil. Female manager showed me how disgusted she was at me because I had to put down the heavy oil container and left a ring of oil on the floor. I said sorry but her face showed distaste while she wiped the oil. This afternoon came in to test a starter. She tried it once, she said it passed and told me sarcastically that maybe you have another problem. Went to pep boys to get 2nd opinion and retest starter and they tested it 10 times and it failed a lot of times. Ended up getting the part from pep boys. Now it works great! Bad customer service. So my battery was dead and I had to jump start my car and I just bought this Duralast Gold battery like 6 months ago which is pretty recent luckily Gabe assisted me and not only did he check to see if the battery was good but he exchanged it since it was still under warranty and installed the new one! The staff at this location whrn I first showed up I think Auto zone group I'd ever met. They totally we're about as nice as they could especially when I seemed like an entitled mess who had no knowledge of car parts at all. Although later in the day the afternooners We're planning pretty much dismissive and a tad irritatated that I called triple AAA rather than get a battery though them (they did do a lot of things free of charge that I was surprised how they deserve someore business. My only problem was I didn't have the full amount for a new one so I had to get aaa to basically put the crap battery back until I had the cash so I get their irritation but the after non crew we're a bit less friendly over it. But hey I'm amazed they do any of that stuff for free. And unlike some of the LA locations that actually offer to help rather than hope you get irritated and leave on your own. (That one on la brea and Venice) I will definitely be bringing any further business to that location. they also have great air conditioning which I find isn't universally practiced by all businesses in Palmdale. Obviously if they have a part you need them they are sufficient. Just don't have an out of ordinary request because the mouth breathers that work there have trouble grasping basic problem solving. I called asked for a battery. They didn't have it in stock but could get it in 40 minutes. "Great. I can be there in a couple of hours. Go ahead and order it." Sounds simple right? Show up and ask for the battery. "We don't have that." I explain the phone call from earlier. " oh. Some probably forgot to order it" Lots of mouth breathing at this point. No basic customer service. No offer to make this right. No response to me saying " well this has been a big waste of my time". Just mouth breathing. I guess offering to order it would require too much effort. Tried to get rear rotors, brake pads AND the hardware for my Niece's 95' Avalon. They had to special order the hardware after I called to make sure they had everything! Tell why they can't have the hardware for the pads they sell? Had to wait till next day, but got everything, got the brakes done, and got major brownie points! read more

It takes a lot to get me to write a bad review, but this Autozone deserves one, which sucks because they used to be pretty good. I realize how the lines are set up at autozone, customers who need to make a purchase without technical assistance from an autozone employee should be acknowledge and taken care of. In this case I waited at the register to make a purchase, and no one engaged me. One of the employees came in from the outside, and walked behind the counter, and did not acknowledge me. Another employee finished helping with technical assistance, and walked to the other available register (which was empty) rang up the transaction, did not make contact with me, and walked back to his other register to deal with other people needed parts lookup. I have been on a trip from Fla. to Ca. . Left just before Irma hit . Made it to Macon Ga. and stop &go traffic took it's toll on my brakes . I stopped at Autozone store # 3165 the 2 young men there "Shaderio and Timothy "were great they got me the right parts and the tools to make the job easy . They even checked on my progress and offered help . If corporate had more employees like them the company would be unbeatable .
