As soon as I walked up to the door a salesperson greeted me and we began the process of finding a car that fit my wants/needs. Early on, I spotted a 2020 Malibu that was priced nicely. I test drove the car and liked it even more, but I NEVER purchase on the first "look". I made an appointment with my sales person, Steve, to talk numbers the next day. The "add on" numbers were interesting and do-able but I wasn't ready to commit. For the next week we played phone tag and emailed, but couldn't meet on a final price for the actual car. I wanted a token effort of a price reduction, but Steve kept repeating, "With the tent sale price this low. I can't go any lower." He simply would not budge on the sticker price, at all, so I walked away. The next day, his associate, Grant, called and chatted with me. Grant cut me a VERY small "token" deal but it was enough of an effort to make me return to Lafayette and purchase the car. I certainly hope Steve bought Grant a drink, because without his intervention my new car would have been purchased at Kudick's Chevrolet. By the way Steve, I never did receive the photo of me by the Malibu.

I had the guy at the counter test my battery and he came out and tested the battery in my car and…read moretold me my battery was bad and needed a new one, it is a 48 month battery and it has been roughly 4 years so I trusted this guy knew how to read a volt meter and went home pulled my battery out which is a little more involved then just undoing the connections and found a replacement at another parts store and took my battery in for a core charge but had them check it to verify it was bad, it tested good, they said it was weak but still good enough, so since I have gotten two different results I figured I would get a third opinion to be sure, the third place said it tested good no problems, so thanks to the incompetence if the counter guy here at O'Reillys I wasted over a hour of my time for absolutely nothing, there is no compensation for time, so I will never go to O'Reillys again and would never recommend this place to anyone, i would tell anyone that asks to go somewhere else simply because if they can't train there help to do something as simple as testing a battery how can you trust that they can find the right part or recommend any product, this place should be looked at by corporate.

The other tech didn't know the background which caused the issues described below. They did another oil change free of charge using Kia parts and the vehicle is back to proper working order without leaking. They stepped up and righted a wrong. Many thanks! --------------------------------------------- My wife took her car for an oil change. It never leaked a drop before and now leaks all over. When I checked it, they greatly overfilled the oil. Took it back and she was asked if she or her husband added oil because it was over-filled. They asked her to bring it back so it could sit for a couple hours, so they can see where it leaks, and they would correct it. She tried multiple times to get it back in - this was their fault, mind you - and they never had time. She and them finally agreed to a day - where she would have to rearrange her work schedule - and when she arrived they told her they had too many jobs that day and wouldn't be able help her! This was a simple oil change. I have to wonder if this level of disrespect and service, or lack thereof, is because she is a woman. If I could leave zero stars I would.

so grateful for the fine folks at guaranteed automotive…read more my wife, 7 week old baby, and puppy were driving from cincy to chicago after our first road trip as a family of 4. engine completely gave out on 65N. we were in a crisis, on the side of the interstate with semis speeding by. we got a tow to the nearest mechanic (20+ miles) - and it happened to be guaranteed automotive. they were busy as could be, but still managed to let us know that our catalytic converter went out. they needed to order the part and could get it fixed for us - but it'd be a couple days. the real problem was that it was purdue's move in weekend - and even though enterprise allowed me to book and check into a reservation online - not a single location had a rental car in all of lafayette. same issue with every rental company in the area. what a shame. we needed to get back to chicago bad, especially with a crying newborn. after several frustrating calls with enterprise and hurtz, we decided we'd just uber on home ($270) and come back for the car when it was ready. but out of nowhere, guaranteed auto offered us their little loaner and let us take it back to chicago for 3 days while our car was getting fixed. saved us some money and was very convenient, after a long stressful day. we're so appreciative for the kindness and efficiency we witnessed with guaranteed. i hope i never step foot in there again, but if you're reading this and you're broke down in the area - they'll get you right. only somewhat negative feedback from me is that they're closed on saturday and sunday - and waited to call until friday around closing time to let us know the car was ready for pickup. so had to wait a couple extra days to pickup, whereas if i knew it was going to be ready i could have been there friday afternoon. oh well. pretty good, not bad, can't complain. thanks y'all!

I had a speculation I was burning oil and they made sure to take note and set up an appointment to address that in a months time. We were recently about to travel on a trip and Brian your salesman tried to upsell her $1884 for battery and brakes. Her battery was two years old. I had her get it tested at AutoZone. It was 100%. I spoke to the manager Sean. He tried to tell me that batteries only last three years now because they're taking all the lithium and giving them to electric cars. We both know that's BS. My battery in my Camaro is seven years old. They then tried to tell her she needed brakes. Her brakes are fine. We had them checked at Firestone. Very disappointing, considering companies thrive on repeat customers. Sean, of course defended his employees and his salesman. As to be expected. She's 83 years old on a fixed income and I am the one who has to watch out for con men like your company employees. We will take our business elsewhere.
