The service is only as good as the intelligence level of the person you're dealing with. Advance Auto does not have the best computer system that makes it a little difficult for someone who's not well versed in the field. Some of the counter people are not. I don't think advanced is helping the kind of people that they're hiring with the computer system they have.

They're always understaffed and slow. And they always find something to screw up or lie to me about. Yes, I've caught their auto service people in bold-faced lies just to get out of doing a job, or to sell me on something I didn't need. But this morning they tell me that there's an issue with their supplier for Fram oil filters. Sooo, they send ME to the nearest auto parts store to buy my own filter so they can change it. The guy at the parts store tells me this has been going on for some time, and he's told them he can sell them more than one filter at a time, and they actually have an account there they could put it on. But they continue to send their customers there without offering to get it themselves. So, I show the guy at Walmart my receipt, and ask to be sure that they're going to take that off my bill. He says, "Well, we'll try". So my response is that, up to this point, I've enjoyed the humor of having to run errands for the world's largest corporation. But "We'll try" isn't funny anymore! Nor is sitting an hour longer than the 45 minutes they told me when I got here right after they opened. Walmart auto service is a joke!
