I have been here a couple of…read moretimes the past few months to get some minor stuff for some repairs on "Mandy" my little Beetle and each time I have received excellent service from all the employees that were in the store. Unfortunately I can't remember their names, but the first time I needed spark plugs and trying to find them at other stores to no avail I decided to give them a shot. I was immediately greeted by the man at the counter and he was helpful in trying to help me determine what kind of engine I have to find the proper plugs. He also told me a little bit on how to gap them and located me a gapping tool as well. He wrote three letters on my receipt to help me next time I needed to visit. I ran into some bad luck with my headlights this last week. One went out sometime between Thursday and Saturday and the other went out on Monday when I started my car after work. For three nights before I got paid I had to be "that guy" who had their brights on for seemingly no reason as I had to wait to have money in the bank. So my check hit and I visited Wednesday after work. Initially I walked in and I tried to figure this out on my own and I was unable to find them. The lady at the counter (who was very sarcastic, in a friendly way), asked me if I needed help. So I walked up to the counter and gave her Mandy's info and she was able to find my headlights. She even gave me a tip on installing them also, so double plus there. Now I've got em installed and I can drive without my brights on! This is a great place if you're looking for some car help and a need a couple of parts. They are always cheerful and happy to help out.

I went to two other places first to try and get the code read when my engine light came on, but they weren't doing those things during COVID. PepBoys was. Their retail area is not operating at this time, but they are doing repairs. And they were able to find a coupon code to take out a bit of the sting of the cost of my repair. BUT. They have the waiting area set up for appropriate social distancing, and a second waiting area set up. But another guy who was waiting at the same time as me decided that instead of seating himself in one of the 4 other spots that could view the television...he would go to the one spot that could not see the TV....and instead move the chair next to me. So, I decided to go for a walk while my car was being worked on. There are plenty of posted signs saying what they were doing during COVID, including wearing gloves, wearing masks, and wiping down surfaces at certain intervals. And I can confirm that NONE of those things are happening. Everyone at the counter *had* masks, but they were wearing them like beards. Completely useless. No one had gloves on at anytime inside the store. And I never saw a wiping down of any surface. I didn't really have many options. And thankfully, I was able to leave the store for a while during my repair and distance myself. But they are flouting their own posted rules, which feels unsafe and...like why even say what you are doing to keep safe and clean when you are going to stand directly behind that sign doing the exact opposite of what is stated?
