On the final day of February, I realized my inspection sticker expiration was 02/2026 and remembered I needed to replace my rear windshield wiper. Ok first time shopper and first time reviewer for this spot but I was satisfied though it took a couple of tries. I came here to look for replacement wipers for my car. Wasn't really sure how or what but I did some Googling. They did some checking for me. Then I took my wipers home. I proceeded to YouTube the heck out of how to replace wipers but couldn't get the old wipers to get unstuck. Posted an SOS on IG for help from friends and one told me that AutoZone will help install of you buy the products from them. Well color me excited! I brought my wipers back to the store and asked for help. One of their staff came out to help install it. I was a bit nervous given he shared that there was an incident the other day and his coworkers seemed to joke about it then wished us luck. But it all buffed out. He got the front wipers on then got another staff member to come out and help install the back one. I went home then realized in one of the rains that the rear one was swapped out for one that was too long so I went back. They were able to swap out the part and do an exchange then install the new one. I was squared away and super grateful. The attitude or vibe here is super casual like whatever so don't expect like bank customer service style but I'll definitely be back to buy more things given the commitment to helping. Came here after my car died at work and I got it jump started! Had to wait in line for a while because there are not too many people working and they give you full attention. Thankful for the latter, though, as they don't rush you out if you have a car issue and really take the time to explain what's going on and to run the tests on your car. I worked with Ricardo who was very friendly and talked through my different price options and warranties for a battery. He walked out with me to check on my car to run the diagnostic test to ensure that it was just my battery problem and not the alternator, which would require taking it to a mechanic. We found a lot of corrosion on my old battery and he cleaned off the protective plate that was covering it. It was a really cold day! So he told me I could wait in the car while he worked. Quick replacement process in and out, took less than a half hour. He also covered the new battery in protective grease. read more

I went in to find a battery for my key fob at 8:30 am. Not a single other soul in the establishment. I said good morning to the lady at the register and asked her where the fobs were and how I know which one to choose. She acted so fake busy and was totally unhelpful and asked me have I opeNed my Fob. Now why would I have opened my fob for fun? I asked how do I do it and she told me to YouTube it. AMAZING service from Jason! Easiest five stars and would give more if I could. A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend and I were calling around getting pricing to get more Freon put into my car. Our quotes ranged from $60-$90, plus needed to purchase the materials first. We came to AutoZone and were immediately greeted by four lovely employees. They all offered to help us with what we were looking for. Jason told us which bottle of Freon we needed for my car, and then was instructing us on how to do it. I asked him if we could do it ourselves - and he said absolutely and that it would take us 10 minutes - we were thrilled :) After explaining the process to us, he offered to come outside with us the make sure we were doing it correctly and didn't encounter any issues. He stayed out there with us for 10 minutes ... in what felt like 100 degree heat - to make sure we were successful and that my car had AC. Bless him. All of this to say, he didn't have to do that at all, but volunteered to and somehow made it fun for us! I tried to tip him and he said absolutely not. So I wanted to leave this review. More than just being happy and grateful to have AC back in my car, it's always so comforting and encouraging when you come across such an angel of a person like Jason! Pretty disappointed with the experience. I was not even greeted by the Specialist Costumer Service Manager Shamira S. Terrible manager, I repeated the model of my car for about 5 times. She looked like she hated to work at autozone. When she brought the part I requested I asked if it was the right one she said "yah" the part was 300 with tax and the core. I asked her again are you sure this is the right part? She said, YES. I asked her then why are you charging me 430? She was selling me the wrong part. I didn't realize they do an array of FREE SERVICES such as - Free Battery Check - Free Engine Check - and a bunch of other stuff I didn't think I'd need. Holy smokes. Admittedly this is not the best AutoZone I've been to, but I just had to post this review because I just saved myself a few Jacksons by coming here first. The first time I came into get it checked...the guy couldn't find the OBD-II port in my car. Normally it's under the driver side steering column. He couldn't find it so I left. After researching, I located the OBD-II port in the passenger side foot well. Another young guy checked it out with the hand-scanner and told me it was reporting a slow Oxygen sensor. This this happened right after I had gotten an emissions inspection at a gas station in Shirlington, we were really skeptical whether this was a valid alert or just a false alarm. He told me if the light comes on again, then it's probably a "valid" problem. So far....so good....no check engine light. read more

My battery was going dead. Anytime I turned my car off, there was a risk that it wouldn't start up. I needed a new battery fast. I also had a doctor appointment early in the morning. I called Autozone when they opened, gauging whether it was feasible to get my battery purchased and changed and then still make it to appointment on time. The employee, Thursday, said he believes we could do it. He was right! He was awesome and ready when I pulled up. He Installed the battery in probably less than 10 minutes. Huge relief! I came here to new wipers and I knew exactly what I was getting so it took me less than a minute to find what I needed but the cashier kept flirting and being weird with the man in front of me so it took like 30 minutes waiting in line to get my wipers. This place is terrible. I bought wipers from them through the online store and they didn't pull them for me until I showed up in person 2 days later. When I went to install the wiper blades they did not fit my car even though the website "guaranteed" that they would fit my 2015 Chevy Spark. When I went to return them I waited in line for 20 MINUTES because they had one associate working the register. There seemed to be at least 2 other people working that were oblivious to the insanely long line, or else they would have opened up another. To top it off the floors look like they were last cleaned in the Carter administration. Will not be going there again. read more

I came because of my battery died twice in two days. He told that I had the wrong battery that I bought last year January 2022 at the south capital Dc AutoZone. My car battery died, and had to be jumped. I stopped by this location for a replacement under warranty. Luis, store employee, assisted me and became very frustrated when he had the wrong tools to replace the battery. He mentioned their was a mechanic in the parking lot who could install the battery for $20. Luis insisted several times that I pay this mechanic to install the battery as he had other things to do and walking back and forth to the store for tools was making him look bad. He then said well you find another mechanic to install the battery. I asked Luis to get an another employee to help him, he needs more training. The other employee was able to install the battery in five minutes. I do appreciate Luis' lack of training and attitude towards performing the free service . read more

Warning: They do no change batteries on luxury vehicles (e.g., BMW, Lexus, Toyota, Mercedes). This may be standard protocol for Auto Zone, but they neglected to tell us that before bringing the car in for a battery change. *Apparently they do if they have the right tools, but the employee didn't even check to see. We brought the car in the night before and the worker told us he couldn't charge or replace the battery because they were closing within the hour. Fine. We came back the next day only to find that they don't work on luxury cars. We were later told they would if they have the proper tools. I'm giving 5 or even 6 stars to Souley (Suliaman) Diallo. The gentleman was the best technician I have ever met in an Auto parts store, so patient and kind at the same time! He replaced my nearly dead battery with a new one in a torrential rainstorm today. He could not have been nicer, more professional, knowledgeable nor patient. What a genuine, GREAT employee! He was initially helping someone in the parking lot already when I arrived, having been on interminable hold on the phone just to see if they had the battery for my car, an older A4 Audi, with over 200K miles...I just couldn't turn off the car to go in and determine if they had the right battery at that point! He listened, assessed, and indicated he'd check before I left to go to the dealership or my mechanic. What a NICE person. Caveat: Beforehand, I was waiting in the lot on a phone call hold for 24 minutes, (again, I could not turn off my car due to having it jumped by my Roadside Assistance provider for a one time service- and I was NOT going to risk a dead car again). My jumper gentleman indicated to immediately take it to Auto Zone (4:10 pm on a Monday) "and they will replace it for you for a lot less $". Although in my opinion, there were not enough folks in the store at this time to assist at least 15 customers in line, and that's crazy with all people wearing our masks as expected right now - but since transportation is key, you can imagine this line went out the door. I believe they do TRY to truly help everyone out the best they can, given this area and resources at hand. I'll go back to Souley any time. I might even make him brownies or cookies I'm so impressed. Also people in line were complaining about the wait. I was a little annoyed as well, until I figured out that the employee was really taking his time to listen to people and find out what they need. An absolutely awesome place. I had bought windshield wipers from another AutoZone where I was told they couldn't put them in because it was too dark out. Which left me on my own for a while until I could return, but instead of going to that last AutoZone again I went to this one. This AutoZone was different. I was busy in the day and struggled to get to AutoZone and ended up arriving after dark, but they kindly helped me. They were even joking and taking to me even with all the customers they were assisting with their car repairs. Might I say it was freezing out, but they were still in a great mood. I was helped by Wilson who provided great customer service. My car battery stopped working and he checked it to make sure my battery was in fact dead before I bought a brand new battery. After he verified it, he was able to help me locate the battery I needed and replaced it. He also saw that the bolts that held the battery in place were corroded so he was able to help me replace those as well. I am very satisfied with the parts and service here and will return again if needed. read more

I went in because I needed a headlight. I hoped they would be able to replace it for me (one of their free services) but unfortunately their policy prohibits them from doing anything that involves unscrewing anything in your car. This is not a problem for me. I got the headlight I needed, polite and helpful attention, and the store was clean and well-organized. This store has an unfairly low rating. They are a perfectly decent store, and they do offer all sorts of free services. I did have to wait to be helped, but I was greeted immediately and understood why I had to wait. While I was waiting, I was asked at least three times if I had been helped. I plan to return here next time I need anything for my car. read more

I had a dead battery, which I had purchased from AutoZone a couple years ago. I was helped by Souley, who scoured the records to find my information because I couldn't find my receipt. He was incredibly patient, thorough, and helpful, and he organized other customers so that he and his colleague could help them after they finished with me and the customer Marta was helping. I know nothing about cars, and he was incredibly gracious and helpful. My brother had told me not to shop for autoparts anywhere other than AutoZone, and, now, I know why.
