The manager (Brenda Keys) at the Clinton, MD location was extremely unprofessional, verbally loud with my husband and myself on October 1, 2025. We were inquiring about obtaining a commercial account, and Ms. Keys showed a lack of help. My husband stated that he comes in this location sometimes, and she is always rude, and loud. Ms. Keys stated, this is how I am. To me, this is a disgrace on AutoZone. read more

So I needed some halogen light bulbs to help meet VA safety inspection requirements. Walked in and Ryan was a smiling face. Exchanged my VIN and walked out with that I needed. Or so I thought. Came back explaining that the bulbs weren't the right fit. Sylvia stepped in, reconfirmed my VIN and found another option that was perfect. She even came outside and installed them for me! I came in yesterday to get my battery replaced. Immediately I was helped when I came in. I was expecting to be hassled about all other things needed for my car but the employee understood that the battery was all I needed and was extremely helpful with letting me know the different options. When it came to installing it was super quick and easy. The young gentleman who installed it was so sweet and made great conversation when installing. Purchased a battery here and had it replaced. My audio and navigation system no longer turned on after the battery was replaced. The technician said that I would have to take it to the dealership to have it looked into. It cost me a $149 diagnostic test that showed 3 fuses were blown out when the battery was improperly replaced. I will never go back for a battery replacement here. My experience with their wait times has been anywhere from 3 minutes to 25 minutes. They've asked me to wait aside to look into my battery so they could get the customer line down, which took over 20 minutes. I've had some other mediocre experiences here in the past. read more

I was having trouble with my car starting. It was slow starting in the morning and then need to get jump-started later in the day while running errands. I brought it in to Autozone since I knew they tested for free. The battery had less than 50% charge. They were honest and said they could not say exactly why it had less than 50%. They were not sure if it was still from earlier jump and alternator just didn't full charge yet or was issue with battery. Since I almost got stuck once, I decided to get a new battery to be safe. My other battery was over 12 years old so was probably time for a new one. The Autozone employee, Darwin, was great. Before I purchased the battery and before he started he mentioned (and I already knew) that my Audi needed a special hex bit and ratchet extension to get the bracket off. Thankfully he had the right tools ready. It took him about 10 minutes from the time he wheeled the battery to my car. I have used this shop for other items (oil, wipers, etc.) but this was first time that I had them actually install or work on my car. They usually have what I am looking for in stock. read more

I had a burnt out headlight on Thanksgiving and was worried I wouldn't be able to get it taken care of quickly. Not only was Fernando at Autozone working on Thanksgiving, but he quickly assessed the situation, replaced my bulb, but also added "bulb grease" so to help prevent future burnout. I have been here a few times in the last two years and each time has been a positive shopping experience. Employees have been helpful in both where to find items and their recommendations. The parking lot is large, and they do not bother you if you fix something with your car right in the parking lot. I have never really had to wait for assistance or to be rung our at the registers. I do not know of any store of a similar nature closer to me than this one, so I'll keep patronizing this location for the rest of my time in this area. read more

I had a car battery that was running low and needed it tested. The service is usually always great at AutoZone. They will test your part and they usually have a replacement on hand. I did not need a battery - it just needed a charge and the technician told me how to keep it charged. All told I saved some money today. But they have installed new headlights and tail lights and they have helped with other things as well at a reasonable rate. read more

I came in after driving around with one headlight out for the past week or so. Not the smartest or safest move by me, I know. I headed in to buy a new bulb and rectify the problem. I called ahead to confirm that they had the product, and when they said they had it in stock, I headed in. The parking lot was dirty (full of product packaging from people who were doing their repairs and tune-ups in the lot) but there was lots of space. The store wasn't as big as I thought, but they had good selection. I didn't know which bulb I was supposed to get, so I asked the woman a the front and she told me. I pulled out the bulb I had taken out of the car and it didn't match, so I asked her about it. Turns out I had pulled out my high beams instead. Whoops. After that somewhat embarrassing encounter, I left the bulbs at the register and went out to confirm and remove the actual bulb that was out. Like expected, she was right and I purchased the correct bulbs. The wattage was a bit different, but she assured me that that was not an issue. Overall, I was very pleased with this place and the help that I got here. I know next to nothing about cars and will obviously ask a lot of questions because of that. The woman at the register was very patient and answered all of my questions accurately. She was extremely helpful and resolved my issue. Thank you AutoZone for helping me drive safely! read more

I just moved to the area and purchased jaw lock pliers, and a license plate frame for the front of my car. I got in line and multiple employees looked up at me then walked away. I was upset because they just looked like they didn't care. I finally paid and got out to my car to put on the new plates. When I opened the lock jaws they were rusted shut. I went back inside and stood in line yet again, and waited as many employees who were not busy looked at me and continued to walk away. After waiting a few minutes, I finally got called and went to return them. I said they were broken, and the lady at the register proceeded to grab them and play around with it saying, "I have no idea how these even work". I told her I wanted to just exchange them for regular pliers. She then turns to her manager to get his attention, then turns to me and says, "No offense, but these seem to work". I proceed to show her that they were broken and the manager sees. He states, "this time we will allow you to exchange it for something else, but in the future, it's for the same product". I guess on that note after the experience I had, I will not be returning. read more

Super shop - has never let me down. I love this shop on Mt. Vernon Ave. It has ample parking and great hours. The staff which includes men AND women speak Spanish and English. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. They have provided guidance on which parts to buy and compared brand name parts to other replacement parts. If I'm missing a part or a part needs to be swapped out, they find it immediately. AutoZone's return policy is easy and I have never had any hassle with exchanging parts. I have bought parts online and they shipped quickly. The online store offers different discounts than the shopfront. AZ's prices are competitive with Advance Auto, Federated, O'Reilly, and eBay dealers. Check both AZ's website and in-store for differences in price due to online discounts or promotions. AutoZone has a good loyalty program, which I use a lot because my car needs fixing! Overall, the service is great. You can come in prepared or let the associates help you. I like that Mt. Vernon Ave (Arlandria) still has household stores. This will change when the Arlandria is rebranded. Developers are planning to plop Big Box stores and luxury condos where Mom's Organic Market is now. I hope that AutoZone stays in Arlandria. read more

The good: clean store, well organized, reasonably well stocked. It's got a pretty good sized parking lot that is fenced in. Lots of friendly people fixing stuff. The neighborhood is kind of on the edge of good, and as a result there is quite a mixed crowd here. It's fun! The bad: employees don't know what they are doing in many cases. These are not experienced car people, it's just a job. This is fine but I'm used to AutoZone employees knowing everything. read more

This is the worst place to order parts from. They told me my part would be in by 3:00 the day i ordered it. After calling them at 4:00 they said it would be in by 7:00. Two days later and four more times of a guaranteed time, its still not delivered!!! No effort to make up for the trouble they caused, and poor management. Go someplace else! read more

I've been in here a couple times and they've always been helpful. They've helped me find the parts I needed (when I asked), and they've offered to install my new windshield wipers or battery for me (without me asking). I turned them down on the battery (it was for a different car than the one I drove that day), and took them up on the windshield wipers. The manager was a bit pushy about getting my phone number for my battery warranty, after I'd already turned it down when checking out.
