I did not have an appointment and that was not a problem on this particular morning. They were able to get my car started and the service manager said that he'd give me a call when it was ready. I headed over for breakfast. An hour later, my car was nearly ready. Inspection done, oil change done, but they wanted to know if it was okay to charge an additional $30 to repair a nail in one of my tires. Yes, please. A half hour later, I was ready to roll. He then showed it to me, it was wrong. Canada has its passport information posted on their site and clearly shows the size/dimension and what needs to be in and on the back of the picture. I told the guy and he adamantly disagreed. He said our machine is set to Can. PP standards. With that I sent in my renewal fee with that picture. A few weeks later I got a call saying the picture is wrong. I must send another with the required information on the back. I went back to the Ballantyne location and thankfully a gal was there. She took it and it came out perfect, it was the size it should be. No adjustments. She stamped the back with the location info, her name, etc. My advice... go elsewhere if you see that small fellow in front of the computer at the PP desk. Membership renewal: Another day I went in to renew my AAA membership. I've been a member for 48 yrs. I had to change my address due to a move. Received my new card in the mail with the correct acct number. A few weeks later I received mail with another card to my current address. It had my previous married last name with a different acct number? I've been divorced for 17 yrs. I took the card into the Ballantyne office and asked... why this? The fellow looked around on the computer and couldn't figure it out. I asked him to cancel that membership, said he did. Someone had to go back in the AAA history to find that info., then take the time to create a new card and have it sent out.

This shop is a total SCAM. The manager will make the mechanics put parts on your car that you do…read morenot need. The price will change . The communication between the mechanics is horrible, because one mechanic will say you need one part and the other mechanic will say that he is wrong and you don't need that part. When you confront the manager on why were the parts put on the car if you don't need them, he will get an attitude and argue with you . Go at your own risk ..!

Since getting the car back, it has been driving great. The front end feels solid, tight, and much more settled than before. I really appreciate the care Nathan put into the work and Drew's help with everything along the way. Finding a shop you can trust with a modified German car isn't always easy, and based on the quality of the work they did for me, I would definitely consider GMP again for future work.

Never have I ever experienced such a smooth oil change in my life. I am so used to being treated…read morepoorly at auto care centers, but that is now in the past! First of all, I didnt think I would find a Meineke so close to where I live. It is literally within walking distance from my home, which made things much easier than I presumed. Its location is in Charlotte's "Plaza Midwood" area, just five minutes from uptown. Now, to paint a description of my car's condition before bringing it in would be a challenge, but lets just say it needed some serious maintenance. Lucky for me, they were running a "rainy day special"..and boy was it raining out that day! As I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly man behind the desk. He walked me through the special, which included an oil change, wind shield wipers, tire rotation, air, and fluids topped off all for 59.00! In my mind, this could not be true because Toyota was charging me the same price for just an oil change. Sure enough I learned that I was getting ripped off at Toyota! The man told me it would take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to finish my car, which was great because I didn't even make an appointment. I ended up spending that time at my friends house that was on the same street. After an hour, I received a phone call letting me know that my car was complete. I am not lying when I tell you that my car drove like it was brand new again. After my wonderful experience, I no longer need to go years without maintenance, and found that they can provide a pleasant experience to the auto care world! I will be back to this location in the future and recommend them to anyone in need of service.

Never called back. My wife called to follow up and was placed on hold for quite sometime the guy finally came back and said good news you don't need a hot water pump nor do you need a new thermostat. Wonder why because I questioned it and told them to keep my parts for a second look? Talked with Rachel and she had every excuse you can think of and said training has been discussed but what about the customer? Still having issues with my truck. And because of this it makes me wonder was there anything really wrong with the hoses they changed out. This is bad business.
