I really needed help with my license plate and was hoping someone at AutoZone could leave me in the right direction. My license plate was popping off and I was afraid it was going to fall off on the road. Luckily Andy was on duty and helped me secure the license plate by screwing it in correctly. Apparently I had done it wrong. I really appreciate their fast and friendly service. I definitely would come back if I needed anything else from this autozone. read more

Depends on who helps, the lines are long so patience is key. They don't always greet you,the transaction or help can feel a bit rushed. Seems to be getting younger and younger employees. Its close to home so that is why i go there. read more

I had an extremely bad experience with the grey shirt named Lesly, she's very hostile over the phone and in person. There's no professionalism and she yelled at me over nothing. i'm not a confrontation person nor am I rude but autozone really needs to have a conversation with her because this isn't the first time nor am I the only person who's had a bad experience with her. Leslie please do better. read more

I placed an online order yesterday and paid extra for same day delivery. Well, my order hasn't arrived, nor have I received an update with new delivery time. I really wish I hadn't placed a delivery order....$12+ WASTED! When will I receive my order? Terrible. UPDATE: I just drove to this Auto Zone and picked up the items myself. While at the register, I had the clerk cancel my online order that was supposed to be delivered yesterday, and I have the receipt showing the cancellation. Twenty four minutes after I canceled my order, I received this email from Auto Zone: Dear Kevin, Thank you for choosing AutoZone. Unfortunately, the part was out of stock; therefore, the order had to be canceled for security reasons. The refund has been issued please allow 3 to 5 business days for the refund to be reflected to your account. We are sorry the part is out of stock and we sincerely hope that you will give us another chance to provide you with quality parts and service in the future. Feel free to contact us at 1-800-288-6966 if you need further assistance. Thanks for choosing AutoZone.com. Raul Same Day Delivery Specialist Can you believe this? They're claiming my order wasn't delivered due to the items being out of stock which they clearly aren't as I was just at their shop making a purchase of the SAME items. The items ARE IN STOCK. What Auto Zone's email SHOULD have said is "We want to apologize for dropping the ball and not wanting to do our job." AVOID this store. read more

Impressive days for me today. I purchased a battery Duralast Platinum May last year and it was drained out because I parked the car for months. Take the battery in for check out and they just simply replacing it, Not a Question Ask! They have a lot of workers helping people. Deserves a 5+ stars! read more

I don't remember when I've given a 1 star. Maybe never. But this one deserves it. I go there late on Friday night cos my car wouldn't start and I had to jump it. Auto zone says they'll test the battery and replace it, and they're open late, so I don't have a choice and head there. I walk in and there's no one at the counter, but I hear some laughs and voices behind the wall. So I holler to say me and another customer are waiting. A kid leans out the opening and looks annoyed, and sort of gestures he'll be there. Another 5 mins of voices and laughter before he finally comes out. I explain my problem so he takes his test machine to test the battery, all the time looking like he really didn't wanna be bothered. After a couple of tests he says it's not my battery but my alternator! I find that hard to believe but he insists. He says they don't have it in stock and can't help me. He basically wants to get rid of me. I go home and the next day I jump the car again and take it to my regular mechanic. He tests and says it is the battery, replaces it for about the same price Auto Zone would've charged, and it works fine. So I totally wasted my night to jump my car and take it to Auto Zone, get a wrong diagnosis and have a kid who'd rather be playing video games or smoking up a storm. Avoid at all costs! read more

Has a dead battery in my car that was originally purchased through repair shop. The warranty had expired by a couple of weeks but they agreed to honor it. I ordered something online so I could get curbside yesterday evening. I received the email that product was ready. When I pulled up, I noticed no marked designated area for curbside. I called the number, rang 6 times when employee answered not doing greeting simply blurted out "placing you on hold". I decided to walk in and once scanned the area looking for online pickup. Formed myself in line 3 person and all this while I'm still on hold. After waiting 10 minutes, it's finally my turn. Young man did not greet me, did not apologize for the inconvenience since why offer a service and not fulfill it. I proceeded to show him the email with bar code which he replied I don't need it. As I arrived and departing I noticed 2 AutoZone employees installing or using tools and never knew they operated as mechanic on their lot, always thought you had to go across the street to PepBoys or down the street to Goodyear. It would of been in the best interest for these employees to help out in the store to knock out the revolving door of customers. read more

Must give five stars here. Lots of help up front is the difference for me. Big time presence at the registers wins me over every time. If you add a great attitude with that person behind the counter it gets even better. I have a massive story behind my visit that involve tires cables that broke , a Reno NV AutoZone and this one right here. I'll spare you the details but Autozone is a great auto parts store. I love the service attitude of this store! read more

9/19/2020 Well, the San Leandro location had the proper alternator, just took a while to find it. On the other hand, the manager should instruct (only one needed to be) their clerks how to properly wear a mask, plus two people were allowed in the store with no masks at all. :-( read more

Autozone in San Leandro closes at 10(other stores close at 9)! It's awesome to be able to complete an errand late at night! We came in to purchase wiper blades and front light bulb for our 2007 Honda Civic. We asked if they install and good news... they do! Daniel Ramirez was super helpful! We came in at 9 and there were a lot of clients but he had no hesitation with helping us! The wiper blade were a piece of cake, but the headlights for a Honda Civic are really difficult to install! He was super patient and we never felt like it was a burden for him to help. Like ... Dam Daniel Thank you for your help! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. Talked to a older south east asian guy. Who was clearly new but didn't say anything about sorry for not having a part that says it was in stock. I was Looking for a 1999 Toyota Camry idle control valve. I had another shop call them from Oakland and they said they had it in stock. Then when I get there it says it's there and you take 25 minutes trying to find it. I mean this guy didn't even get the manager to look for it. I usually don't get good customer service when I stop by to pick up parts for my car at Autozone. Usually the people working there barely try to help you out! A lot of the times they half-a** their job. But today I want to say that I went in and I got helped by one of their good hard working employees. Her name was Jennifer, and she was really helpful and didn't seem like she was there trying to rush me out the door. I want to say that the rest of the workers should look up to her because she models what good customer service looks like. read more
