Quality of service here is very bad. Most associated don't know what they're doing (in exception for 2 or 3) Parts "managers" are very rude and do not help at all. Went in to ask about a warranty policy and associate rolled his eyes and laughed before speaking to one of the managers about my question. Won't be visiting here anytime soon. read more

Unacceptable Behavior. Autozone always gets it wrong. Bought parts here before took them to my Professional Mechanic so he can tell me I brought incompatible parts. Mechanic installed the correct ones and returned the wrong parts back to AutoZone. Above that, the Management Team at these locations discriminate all the time when hiring new employees. I've applied several times w/this compact and after the interviews I walk away w/a sour face, all the time. My feelings were that they're looking for slaves instead of Co-Workers in other words Team Members. I had a schedul'd interview recently and the Manager shows up 15-20mins late then has me standing around waiting for another 30mins while he finishes up whatever was more important than attending a possible future team member/custom. On top of that you think I got the job? AutoZone has nvr been there for customer. Let's begin the closing of this company. TY read more

I was in town visiting my parents (I live in Santa Clarita) and my battery died. I not only needed a new battery, I needed someone to also install the battery so that I wouldn't be stranded in Phelan over night. I figured this trusty chain would be open and thankfully they were open till 7 - even on a Sunday. I arrived at the store front and was quickly greeted by a cashier who was able to sell me a battery (less than $100) and set up an install. Luckily, they were able to install the battery right then! A guy named Jesse installed my battery and he was great! He told me exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it. He was very through, so much so that as he was installing the battery, he noticed that the cashier sold me the wrong size. Jesse quickly resolved the problem and had a new battery ready to install. He quickly went back to work and the battery was installed in under 5 minutes! Thanks to Jesse's great service, I was able to make it home. It's great to know there are still a few good car guys out there. Thanks, Jesse! read more

My car broke down on the 138 heading back to LA from Wrightwood.  I called AutoZone in Phelan for a radiator hose.  The person I spoke to, Michelle, was very rude, did not help me, and hung up on me.  I tried to describe where the hose was going to but its hard to see so I wasn't sure.  She took the vehicle info and asked which hose.  Again I said I wasn't exactly sure and tried to describe it again.  She said in a very angry rude manner "well if you don't know then you have to bring it in."  I started to ask another question and she hung up on me.  I had to get a Lyft ride to Hesperia where a very nice person at O'Reilly Auto Parts knew exactly what I needed and had it in stock.  Thanks O'Rilleys!  Michelle at AutoZone in Phelan has horrible customer service.  Don't know how she keeps her job. read more

So I had a problem with my battery I purchased at another auto zone in adelanto I went to phelan and Oscar and Vincent took care of me thank you so much for your great customer service, I will never go back to the one in adelanto agsin since for some reason the battery I purchased was not the right one they put in my car and my warranty for some reason had been used nor me and my husband had used it but someone was able to use it for some odd reason. I come in here all the time and regret it.....the same overweight manager guy in the grey shirt is always rude and treats me like I'm an idiot.....Even though I have more knowledge of the parts I'm trying to buy then they do.. I usually get a blank stare when asking for basic car parts, and if they're the wrong ones, I get straight attitude from the employees when asking for an exchange. I usually leave and head to Napa up the street, where they actually have automotive knowledge and good attitudes. read more

No outside drop bin to recycle used oil, unlike the other location in Hesperia. Therefore you must wait to talk to an agent in order to drop off used oil and filters. There was a man who had a complex order. The other sales rep was talking with a friend and seems to be involved in a long conversation. I had to wait 20 minutes just to drop off. Very tempting just to leave it on the counter but they have signs everywhere saying not to abandon used oil. Very annoying. I wish they had to drop bin like the other locations. Next time we'll use the Hesperia location. 1 star because I had to wait 20 minutes for a simple request when y'all were chitty chatting with friends. read more

I recently had A bullet proof done on my 2007 Ford F2 50 super duty fuel injector part number DL1404Purchased all eight one blew a o ring Had that one replaced Drove vehicle for a short while about two days started missing once again come to find out there was a problem with another injector replaced that one and then another one started causing a miss in the engine Took back to the place once again that repaired my truck they replaced all of them didn't even get it out of the shop to find more defective injectors now I am paying the premium price for eight more fuel injectors anticipating auto zone more expensive injectors will solve the problem I presume my repair shop will be ordering Part number DL1494for each injectorI sure hope these work if not I will be back and give you my opinion on those injectors read more

Terrible. I don't know if it was just a bad day for the guy working the front but I'm sure he's just like this all the time. At least that is what I gathered by the way he spoke to all the customers. He said to everyone in an indecent tone "is anyone here to just pay." He was rude. All he said to me was get back behind the extended piping they put up to keep customers at distance because of COVID19. I honestly am not use to the distancing from the credit card machine as I was eager to swipe my card to pay. He was super unfriendly with no personality, just hard stares. I don't want to go back honestly. Why give business to people who act like that? One of my friends came in the store with me to help me buy Freon for my car and he said the same thing so it wasn't just my opinion. Never going back. I purchased brakes and am not too happy about how the sales associate added on some lubricant. He said "I'm going to add this too"... the way he said it made it sound like it was a free gift. It was only $1.69 and the register didn't have a breakdown of the total. I didn't notice it cost anything until later when I looked at my receipt. I'm sorry, but it felt like I've been duped or taken advantage of. Service here was great, helpful & attentive. My husband's windshield wipers broke as we were on our way to stop in Santa Clarita for the night. I Yelped & this location popped up & happy we stopped here. We were able to quickly find the needed replacements. We needed some tools to fix a bolt of the wiper arm, and they offered to let us borrow the socket wrench needed to tighten things up & then we were on our way again. read more

I normally head here when I change my oil so I can buy supplies and change it at my parents' house instead of paying someone to do it for me. And they usually have a special on oil and filters for an oil change, which is awesome. The staff are friendly and will look things up for you on the computer. They are normally stocked with the supplies I need. And they are conveniently located in town. read more

Went into AutoZone in Phelan. The employee helping me was Richard. I was there to warranty a fuel pump that had failed and left me stranded earlier that day. Richard opens the box kind of hiding the contents from me. He pulls the pump out and hands it to me but when I ask for the bracket and the rest of the contents of the box he states that your supposed to return the old hose and connectors to receive the new ones.... after stating that I will have to purchase more hose due to mine being cracked he said "if your going to be like that " and handed the other items to me. The old pump and new one were to different diameter so the old bracket would have done me no good on the side of the road. After speaking to a couple other employees it seems that this Richard person is quite rude to alot of other customers. Not good buisness ! I have called the district manager in the past and received false promises so I feel doing so would be no bennifit. This Richard person has no buisness dealing with the public. This was all witnessed by another employee who was very apologetic. read more
