I reserved it online and picked it up in the store. Here we are, a little over two and a half years later and the alternator dies. No worries, I say underneath the disappointment and frustration of the situation as a whole; the alternator is covered by a lifetime warranty. I can just show them the reservation, take the dead alternator back to the store, and they would be able to scan the barcode, look up the purchase date, verify my information, and replace it under the terms. Sadly, this was NOT the case and is why I will NEVER shop at another NAPA ever again, and will tell everyone I know to avoid them at all costs. I took the defective unit into the store. The unit, I might add, still has the barcode on it. The gentleman at the counter scanned it and said the only alternator of this kind that they sold was back in 2008, and that they would not honor my warranty due to the fact that I've lost the receipt. I even still have the original box and testing readout from when it was sold. NAPA used to stand for quality. Now they simply stand for lying and thievery.

I noticed too that even when Bobby, the owner, isn't in the shop, his employees still check-in on me while I am waiting for me work to be done. The last time I was there, I had to wait half an hour or so for a part to come in. While that employee was taking care of that, another one came and asked me if I was doing okay and being helped. That's really good service, and it's nice that he thought to do that even while his boss was not there to see that. I don't know if they still offer this, but when I first starting using Leading Edge Auto last year, they offered a warranty through TechNet (which I did use once.) Definitely my mechanic of choice.

Rick threw good parts away off my hardtop then tried to get me to pay for it all while being nasty the whole time. He claimed he didn't know it wasn't trash but that's not my fault and not for me to replace. I was nothing but kind and helpful to him so I was pretty upset when he laughed at me for thinking it's not my place to replace something he threw away. All it would have taken was an offer to replace one or honestly any accountability at all but Rick is not like that. Thankfully, the owner stepped in seeing Rick's awful work and made sure himself the job got done right. The owner seems like an honest guy when something isint right but Rick is not. Avoid that guy you'll save yourself a lot of anger and headaches.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the lady at the desk. She was nice. Funny too. The office is neat and has chairs to sit and wait, drinks and candy.
