It was the weekend and I was getting ready to go out with some friends. I got in my car, turned the ignition and nothing...my car battery was dead. The next day I was able to get a jump and went to the AutoZone on Danforth. They tested my battery, which took ~ 2 hours, and I ended up buying a new one as the test result was unfavorable. I made a mention to an employee there about something that had fallen off from under my steering wheel but he didn't know what it was.
Several hours later on that same day, I discovered that my brake lights had not turned off. Having just bought a new battery, I was concerned that my battery might die again since the lights were constantly on. It was late, but the Autozone on Broadway was still open!
I called, let them know what was going on and they told me to come right over. This time, when the employee at the Autzone on Broadway looked inside my car, he immediately recognized that piece and knew what the issue was. While the part I needed wasnt in stock, he provided me with a temporary solution to prevent the brand new car battery I bought that day from dying. I ordered the part, picked it up a few days later, installed it and the problem was fixed. I am thankful for the experienced/knowledgeable staff there and the fact that the Broadway location was open later than the rest. read more
