I'm writing this as a former part-time employee who worked here for one month before quitting. Only got paid $12.35/hour to get treated like s*** by my two managers James Mwenje and Troy McGee. Troy is just an all-around unfriendly person that never taught me anything. He's super hostile, not in his words but in his body language. The look in his eyes screams that he wants to take his stress out on me. James, on the other hand, is someone I had nothing but respect for during almost my entire stay there except for my last week, where I lost most of it in him. He is extremely judgemental with the way he breathes down the neck of his employees. Same goes for Troy. Even early in the morning when I am pulling my car in and parking, James is giving me crap by calling me a terrible driver, which, okay, I can take that, because I am, but all I was doing was fixing my damn parking. I'm not even clocked in, and you're gonna talk down to me like that? Then on multiple occasions, he starts saying some offhanded comments like, "Man, how do you pay attention in school?" I have ADD, Attention Deficit Disorder, and he thinks I can learn a new skill just by observing it once and not even going over it step-by-step. That's not how the human mind works. I even told him during my job interview that I quit college due to COVID and online classes, but he doesn't remember that and is somehow criticizing me. Great. "What are you doing standing there with your arms crossed?!" That was when Andrew Johnson and I already frontfaced and cleaned the store around 5:00 PM while James wasn't there, so what did he want us to do? Frontface again? Pretend to work? I'm type 1 diabetic, and I am entitled to take a break whenever I please, but he thinks I'm willing to put my life at risk for this job, which I absolutely will not. Speaking of pretending to work, another thing that pisses me off about AutoZone is how whoever does the planograms forces us to change the price labels and/or price changes every week. Haven't you heard the old adage that you shouldn't fix something that isn't broken? And who is leaving so few employees working on Sunday, our busiest day of the week? Other than that, I have nothing but nice things to say for the other employees and would like to shoutout Mark for his hard work, Andrew, Dylan Johnson, and Monica Lewis for having the common courtesy of being nice to me unlike certain people, Christopher "Angel" Gutierrez for helping me out with his knowledge of vehicles and being able to speak Spanish, and most importantly, Ryan French who I have the utmost respect for as he deserves the highest promotions possible. read more

I've always had great experiences Autozone. Without fail staff have been always helpful and courteous. One exception though. I went to THIS Autozone to get my car battery checked last week. As soon as I walked in the store I went to the help counter and asked for what I needed. The clerk immediately had a sneered look on his face without so much a small grin. He acted extremely impatient with me and made me feel like I was wasting his time and I was dumb. Sure I have a slow, stuttered speech because of brain cancer and subsequent brain surgery but I don't need be treated the way I was treated at this Autozone. I really felt disrespected and treated like I'm an idiot. He really puts a bad face on the company Autozone. From now on, I'm going to O'Reilly Auto Parts until action is taken by Autozone. I have his name written down. If management replies to this review, I would gladly provide the name so action can be taken. read more

Never go to this AutoZone. Infact, I would never go to an autozone ever again. We bought a car and had 7 days to test drive this and everything to determine if this was the car for us. After a while, the car started to have problems and the agency we purchased it through suggested to take it to AutoZone to have the battery checked. If the battery was the problem, since this was the last of the 7 Days, we were going to send it back because we received a new car with a faulty battery. The manager and an employee ran a quick test on the car and stated it was not the battery but was in fact the transmission. This was covered under warranty, so we decided to keep said car because of their decision. We take the car into jeep and they state EVERY PROBLEM that occurred was due to the battery, and that AutoZone does not have the equipment to test properly and should NOT have given us falsified advice such as. Now? We are stuck with a brand new car that is have issues due to a test, that was verified by the manager, that was completely incorrect. NEVER GO TO AN AUTOZONE read more

I went into AutoZone for a wiper blade after I had looked at Walmart without finding what I needed. As soon as I walked in, the employee (I am pretty sure he said his name was Troy) walked over to me and asked what I needed. I told him, and he started researching the blade. I am apparently car-stupid, so I didn't know all of the details about my car that he needed. I said that I would figure it out, and he went outside into the cold to check what it was. He found me the part and gave me all of my options. Once I had checked out, he immediately put on a coat so that he could walk me to my car and switch the blade for me. I didn't even have to ask, which was a big relief because I was slightly embarrassed that I didn't even know how to switch the wiper. I know that he went beyond his job description for a $14 purchase, and as someone who has worked in two places that stress customer service, I can say that he was incredibly nice and helpful! read more

Recently realized there was an Autozone within a couple miles of the house so had to go there looking for wiper blade refills. They, of course, didn't have the right one for my car but the guy was very helpful and told me where else I could try to go to find what I need. Ordered a transfer case chain through this autozone and paid for expedited shipping because I needed the vehicle repaired quickly. The transfer case itself is fine, the chain inside of the transfer case is stretched. Was assured that they were able to get the right part (at a relatively exorbitant price for said part,) but paid regardless because I had no other choice. Got a call that my part came in so I went into the store to pick it up, two of the employees struggled to find the ordered part for 10+ minutes with the name and phone number provided. When they found the part that I had ordered it was an entirely different part than what I had ordered. The guy who handed me the part had no idea that a transfer case chain even existed. I pulled up the part online (with relative ease,) and showed him the difference. He spent another 10-20 minutes typing random things into his system without saying a word about what he was doing. Managed to get a full refund, but for the time being I'm out almost $90 while waiting for my refund to process and needing to go elsewhere for my part. If you don't know something that's fine, but the arrogance of saying that you know exactly what I'm talking about, have found the correct part, charge me for it, and it turns out to be a part that goes into an entirely different part of the car is not only astounding, but also incredibly aggravating. I refuse to bring my business here and strongly advise that no one else does either. If you want to work at a car parts store at the very least have some basic knowledge of different car parts, and if you aren't familiar with a specific part, acknowledge that and ask for help. read more

Went to get things for an oil change, first guy didn't help at all. Second guy was helpful although sold me the wrong size oil filter. Went to return it and they couldn't give me a refund because the filter had been attempted to be installed. Well no sh!t, how else do you know if it's the wrong size without trying to install it first? Try selling the right part to begin with. Morons.
