A few weeks ago my husband was hit but someone running a red light. Luckily he was fine but his…read moredriver side fender and side mirror was not. After a call to our insurance he got an appointment for a repair but it was weeks away. I was out running errands and passed O'Reilly and figured I would stop in to see if they may have a temporary solution for the side mirror. Now listen, I'm not a car person. I don't pretend to be a car person, I know very little. But I do know when I'm blatantly being ignored and that's pretty. much what happened here. I walked up and down the aisles searching for the mirrors and the guy behind the counter didn't even in look in my direction. I was the only one in the store, hovering over the side mirror replacements, trying to find the matching one for the mirror. I saw him walk by, still nothing. I juggled the big book of parts to look up the number I needed for the make/model of our car and not a peep. Sure, I could have asked for help but at this point I was stubborn. "Ignore me? Fine, I can do that too." Ultimately I wasn't able to find the exact fit I needed but I did get a mirror panel we could cut to size. Better than nothing? I took my purchase up to the counter and once again, the fella barely acknowledged my existence, even while he was ringing me up. And sure, maybe he was having a bad night, or he's just not a talkative person but it either way it wasn't a super pleasant experience. Ironically we never needed to use the side mirror plate as I found the exact size we needed online. So now I have to go back and return the darn thing but I'm not exactly in a hurry to return...

We have been customers of Suburban for 30 years, we have leased/purchased several vehicles. While…read moreour car salesperson has been awesome, our recent experience with the service department was frustrating to say the least, we will not be back..... We dropped off our Traverse end May 2024 due to an engine leak which was still covered by warrantee. We were told they couldn't even look at it for at least 2 weeks & no loaner car was available. I asked for a manger, who did get us a loaner. Our Traverse was in the shop for 4 months; no communication regarding the repairs unless we went in personally to inquire about it. Calls to service were either not picked up or voicemails we left were not returned. The service manager was very condescending, stating "you have a loaner". The loaner was not the big SUV with bike rack access we bought for summer trips, service manager was unapologetic. After 4 months, we finally received a call saying the car was ready for pick up. It was parked overnight, OIL STILL LEAKING. We brought the car back; they claimed it was "residual from repair" so they applied Brake Clean to clean it and told us it was fine. Again, the car was parked overnight in my garage, there was oil and red transmission fluid on the floor the next morning. We no longer trusted Suburban, so we brought the car to LaFontaine in Dexter. They found the leaks, repaired it and returned the car in 2 days. We hand delivered a letter to Suburban GM detailing our experience asking for a response; that was 2 weeks ago, no response. Needless to say, Suburban has lost a loyal customer.

Service department is not very professional. Have had many routine services (oil change/tire…read morerotations) since purchasing my car from Suburban. It's always a very long wait to get an appointment and equally long waiting period during service. I vowed to go elsewhere once I completed my pre-purchased package. Well most recently, I spoke with a service rep and had to wait almost 2 weeks to get an appointment because my AC quit working. Showed up for my appointment, and after a very long wait to check in, discovered that they did not have an appointment on the books for me. Very frustrating to say the least. They couldn't do anything about it and basically blamed me for not making sure my appointment was confirmed. Guess I now know to definitely go somewhere else.
