Buyer Beware - Argus Co. Lacks Integrity - A Costly Mistake. They Sell Lemons and Threaten…read moreRestraining Orders When Asking for Accountability! I wish I could give Argus Co. and its owner, Michael Gay, zero stars. My experience buying a 2005 BMW Z4 was nothing short of a nightmare. I had previously purchased a car from him and trusted his word, which made this betrayal even more upsetting. The night I bought the car, the windows were fogged, and he dismissed my concerns. The next morning, I discovered the real issue--missing window seals in the convertible top. He promised to fix it, and the repair was a joke - from De Laveaga Service Center- mismatched pieces that left an unsealed, unprofessional mess. Then came the real problems. The day after my purchase, the check engine light went on. Michael shrugged it off. A few days later, my car was completely dead and needed a jump. A tire pressure light was also on from the start. Again, he dismissed my concerns. Eventually, a mechanic confirmed the car had a broken front wheel and two cracked rear tires--an unsafe disaster. I was sold a sports car with three dangerous wheels. When I pushed for repairs, he sent me to Big O Tires, where the situation got even worse. They put the faulty wheel back on. Shortly after, I found myself trapped inside the car, unable to open the door from the inside--a terrifying safety hazard. If I had been in an accident, I could have been stuck inside a burning vehicle. Then, while driving, the car suddenly lost power--engine failure. It barely made it to a parking lot before completely shutting down. The next morning, it wouldn't even turn over. I contacted Michael Gay immediately--from day two--detailing the dangerous and unethical state of the car he sold me. Instead of taking responsibility, he dismissed my concerns, ignored my emails, said my text messages were too much (most people would have a threat response dropping into your autonomic nervous system, feeling threatened by investing over $10,000 on a lemon and being told everything's OK don't worry when in fact now I have a dead car sitting in my driveway ) and ultimately he threatened me with a restraining order for demanding he fix the vehicle. This dealership sold me a lemon under the pretense of it being a reliable car. If you value your safety, your money, and your sanity, stay far away from Argus Co. Michael Gay does not stand by his sales, dismisses legitimate safety issues, and when confronted, responds with threats instead of accountability. Do not trust this business. Save yourself thousands of dollars and a world of frustration.

It was worth the 290 miles and 5 1/2 hours. From the moment I walked through the door to my final signature on the contract, Morgan's professionalism, knowledge, and kindness was spot on. I am now the, more than proud, owner of a fair/great priced Cadillac CT5 thanks to Morgan, Kali, and the team at North Bay Ford/Lincoln. Just facts.

Since then they looked it up elsewhere and I have been getting nonstop calls from them even after they acknowledged that I requested email communications only. At this point they are on my phone spam list and periodically checking shows they are still constantly calling from their sales department. I've moved on to another dealership that is willing to work with me, not force me into their schedule. I've also attempted to get servicing on my vehicle there but was then quoted all these diagnostic costs and upsells. Eventually I stopped working with them and am now doing all my truck servicing at another dealership. I've been in the SC area for an over 20 years and every time I give them a "second chance" they do the same crap. I'm suspecting it's a management directive for this particular dealership to basically screw over the customer for as much money as they can as I get significantly better interactions and service at two other dealerships I've worked with elsewhere.

Both experiences were delightful, stress free (who would associate stress-free when you buy a car?) and quick. No hassle car buying - that should be his business's title. He helped us narrow down the list of cars we were looking at and make a decision that worked for us. He also scheduled all the test drives, negotiated the prices, and pointed us to a specific person at the dealership, a complete VIP experience. He did the same for our friends just this week, they bought a great car in a great condition, he negotiated the price down and steered them away from less desirable options. My friend was nervous (just like I was before ) because the process of buying a car is stressful. But after they got into the dealership and the car was waiting for them, they test drove and bought the car. My friend said: who would have thought that I can enjoy buying a car! And that's all thanks to Jeremy. Believe me I'm not hyping him up, he is professional, kind and customer centric. Thank you Jeremy!
