So after the radio unit and the wire replacement it's was cheaper than the dealership and the sound quality is even better than it was before. That seemed like a lot of money, and I shopped around. A local Facebook group recommended Euro Car. John was honest and knowledgeable!!! He offered me a replacement radio which was better than what Subaru was offering, and the cost was SIGNIFICANTLY lower. I dropped off my car and about an hour later got a call the car was ready. John googled my issue and found that by disconnecting my battery connections, touching them together and then putting them back on the battery was all that was needed. After that, voila, the radio turned back on. Fabulous service, fabulous price and I would highly recommend this shop!!! Why the dealer did not know about this fix is beyond me. I asked my mechanic who thought it was a dealership issue. Before I went to the dealership I decided to call a body shop to see if they could do this repair. I called Lentz Auto Body in Belford. I was told to bring it in 2 days hence. I dropped it off AT 8:30AM explained the issue and left. Lentz called back at about 11:30 -12:00 and reported that it was fixed. They actually said it was working fine after they removed the interior panel and sprayed the electronics with lubricant/silicone/whatever. NO CHARGE!!! A dealer would charge you $200.00 just to look at the car! I brought it to LENTZ Auto Body based on the reviews which are pretty positive. I am adding this review as another pro LENTZ Auto Body!
