I have owned my car since 2011. I have had many details done over the time of owning this car . I have never in all these years had this good of a job done from any other detail shop. Autowerx went above and beyond anything I could imagine. They even cleaned the engine as part of my my exterior detail job. They vacuum the inside of my car also. They fixed all the chips and scratches and touched up paint throughout the entire car. When I first saw my car, I was shocked at the showroom quality. This company has a wonderful easy to schedule service, answered all my questions, gave service notification reminders, got the job done on time. And went above, and beyond the services I ordered. I called Autowerx yesterday and they were able to fit me in today! I had a dog poo incident. And not a minor dog poo incident. I'm talking a mastiff sized dog poo incident in my backseat. Everyone there was super friendly and not fazed in the least about the poo. They provided a loaner car, it was completely done in half a day and the best part is that my car now smells amazing! Very happy to have just picked up my car from Autowerx Detailing. I had the cquartz finest treatment done and the car looks better than new. I thought the wheels were goners but the buffing he did to it really changed the look of it. I originally contacted Nick because I had my front and rear bumpers replaced and repainted following snowpocalypse in downtown Portland -- well the whole car is protected now and the old paint matches the new! I chose Autowerx based on the Yelp reviews. Here's my story: I recently purchased a new car, and when I was filling out my paperwork, the dealer talked me into buying a $200 windshield treatment and a $1000 exterior and interior protection coating. He said the windshield coating would protect the glass from rock chips, plus work like Rain-X, but wold be perminant and "not leave a residue like Rain-X". We paid the $200 for windshield treatment, which they did that day before we took the car home. The coating protection for the interior and exterior seemed like a good idea because we want the paint and interior to last as long as possible, so we paid for that, too, and planned to bring the car back another day to have it applied. After bringing the car home, I talked with my regular mechanic, and he suggested I have the exterior done through a dedicated, reputable detailer, rather than the dealership, and that I have it done with a "quartz" product. After seeing all of Nick's five star reviews on Yelp, I called him, and he spent a good 15-20 minutes of his time enthusiastically answering all my questions and explaining the process he uses. In addition to my experience with him on the phone and the other yelp reviews, I researched the product he uses for new cars (CQuartz), and was impressed with that, too. In addition, here are some other points that impressed me: 1. He charges $600 for both the exterior paint and windshield, and also the wheels (which makes sense because they are constantly getting dirty). 2. He spends THREE DAYS doing the car, including complete stripping of any existing wax and dirt, applying the product, and curing it before it gets out onto the road. (The dealership was going to do it all in one day). 3. He provides you with a loner car while he has yours, which is super convenient. After researching add-on's from car dealerships, the standard "interior" protection amounts to the dealership spraying a Scotch Guard like product on the seats and carpet, which is something you could just as easily do yourself. But also bear in mind that chemicals like these are not necessarily good for young kids, and it's probably a better idea to just have a professional interior detail, where they shampoo the carpets every couple of years... or you could rent a machine with the hand tool at the supermarket and do it yourself. They say a car's carpet should be shampooed (steam extraction) somewhat regularly or preventive maintenance, as dirt is abrasive and will grind down the carpet as it is stepped on over time). I requested a refund for that $1000 from the dealership, and took it to Nick. I dropped my car off, drove away in the loner car, and came back three days later to pick it up. Just like all of his other Yelp reviews, it looked even better than I expected... and my expectations were high! But I also got some very interesting information about my car from him. First, that the paint had been scratched by the tape they put on car for transport (a very common situation), and that the dealership had waxed the car to cover it up. Nick buffed out all the scratches at no charge, as it's part of the service. Secondly, he noticed that the dealership had missed several places when they applied the coating to the windshield, which he fixed, too. And to top it all off, before I left, he spent another 10-15 minutes teaching me how to maintain the finish, including how to wash and what products to use, so it lasts several years. I am totally, completely amazed and impressed. If you know anyone who is getting a new car, do them a huge favor and make sure they absolutely don't pay for any paint or window protection at the dealership, but instead bring it to Nick. read more
