Did a wonderful job on our truck. When we picked it up it looked better than the day we bought it new.

I'm sorry to say that this was my 3rd time taking my vehicles to Autosmith to be repaired but I'm very pleased with the finished results. They do excellent work at a reasonable price and great to work with. Barbara was outstanding in keeping me posted of the repair process. We're very fortunate to have their services in our community. read more

Always helpful and professional ... No job to small for this body shop .. They even wax cars if your work has been gone there

Just picked up our Honda Ridgeline. We had an encounter with Bambi's dad I think his name was Ricko. Very sad. Enter 1 each Autosmith where we dropped off the vehicle for repairs. I must say that after all the years dealing with vehicle repairs that this place really rocks. Very professional with excellent communication and prompt repairs. Jeff the owner went way above any shop that I've visited in the last 50 plus years and Barbra n company was very good at communicating every step with the insurance company. Highly recommend this place. read more

Barbara was wonderful from the first conversation I had with her to the last. My truck was hit while parked and the lady didn't want to use insurance. She insisted on paying out of pocket. Strange circumstance, but she came through and paid. Barbara stayed in touch during the process. I picked my truck up and it looked like it rolled off the dealership floor. Truck was washed, wheels were scrubbed, and they even put tire shine on my tires. A++ service and work read more

I initially went to a shop in Sonora and had an interaction I wasn't happy with. After asking around, this shop was recommended to me by multiple people. The shop told me they could do the work, ordered some parts and had me bring my car back in when parts were ready (my car was still drivable). During the work, Barbara was amazing at keeping me informed where they were at in the process. I now have my car back with a new door and bottom panel and it looks good as new! Very happy with the work and people here! Definitely recommend for body work! read more

We needed body work on the Subaru we keep at our cabin in Arnold. They worked with us on the timing of the repair so we could schedule time to be up there while the work was done. The repairs were handled beautifully and the car was ready on time as promised. They even detailed it. We could not be happier with the work that was done. read more

I usually take my vehicles to another local body shop but after seeing what Barbara and the team at Autosmith did for my daughter's Ford Fusion... never again! Her car was immaculate and put together PERFECTLY! Not only were the repairs and paint done to perfection and in less time than expected, it was detailed and shined beyond any expectation I had. They even told her to come back in a few weeks for another detail and wash on them! Barbara followed up with us on a regular basis and handled mostly all of this claim on their end. We will forever be Autosmith customers from here on out and highly recommend them for anyone needing work done. GREAT JOB TEAM :) read more

These folks were so nice!! I stopped by because my sunroof was leaking and the rain was about to begin. I had called around to other places to get an idea of what it might be, but they all basically told me it was hopeless (or incredibly expensive to fix). So I happened to be next door to this place and decided to see if they could look at the leak. They did and turns out it was just a small adjustment that took less then 5 minutes. I tried to pay them for their help, but they wouldn't accept. I will definitely be bringing any future repairs to them and would recommend anyone else do as well! read more

This place is awesome. Great people and great craftsmanship. After I crunched my driver's side door on a pole, Autosmith dealt with my insurance and completed the repair with no issues. A bonus is that my vehicle was immaculate when I picked it up. 5 stars! read more

Autosmith delivers totally excellent workmanship and customer service. When I returned to get my 8-year old vehicle following its repair, it looked absolutely new. The repaired areas were undetectable and the paint match was flawless. But what went over the top was the detail work. Sure, it was washed and clean. But they also polished every exterior surface, got the haze off my headlights and they even cleaned and treated my leather seats. But there's more. As I was leaving, the owner Jeff German asked me to come back in a month. Why? For a free wax job. Autosmith completely exceeded my expectations; I highly recommend this body shop. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about autosmith. They did an excellent estimate that was right on target at the end of my repairs. The quality of the work was impeccable. Communication was great and they got my truck done much faster than I had expected. I will only be taking body work there in the future. read more

Went to H&H Automotive in angels camp and took them 4 hours to successfully break my car door! Unbelievable! And wanted me to use an auto body shop to take off the door they broke! Went to autosmith, and within 3 hours they themselves had taken the door off, fixed it, and fixed the damage H&H had done. Phenomenal service, very professional! Definitely my go to, they will not try to cheat you like H&H Automotive! read more

I do not know how these people have good reviews. Absolute rudest people ever! Especially the receptionist who could not care less about my issue. I am stunned at how rude the people are at this place. Do not go here, take your business somewhere that actually has good customer service. read more

Jeff and crew are the best! I recommend them always. They did incredible work on a car that ended up as a show car I'd worked on for almost 9 years assembling. I won many awards with it, and most because of the gorgeous two-tone base coat/clear coat, no orange peel paint job. Best of the best. A family member recently had his bumper hit. The new bumper...flawless, paint is perfect & beautiful. These guys are not just car painters. They are the meaning of "autosmith" in the absolute definition of the word! Jeff delivers quality to the highest level & I will continue to always go to him or recommend Autosmith to the car crowd of Calaveras! read more

Twice I've gone to Autosmith for body work on my auto. Back bumper first and then the front. My car must be a magnet for bad drivers. The service here is the best. Barbara explains everything and follows up with phone calls as needed, even when I left my glasses case there. My car is delivered to me in perfect condition, including a wash and a wax. You hope you never need an auto body shop, but if you do, Autosmith is the place to take your vehicle. read more

These are seriously great people and talented auto body technicians. The level of craftsmanship, professionalism, integrity and personality this company shares with their customers is remarkable. I bashed in the front of my BMW SUV and they quickly had it perfectly repaired. And they fixed a couple minor things that had nothing to do with the crash at no extra cost. The body work and paint matching are perfect. The car looks and drives brand new. So their quality of craftsmanship can't be beat. But its their integrity, and excellent customer service, not to mention heart they show in dealing with their customers that impresses me most. They went out of their way helping me swap vehicles while the BMW was in for repair. And letting me leave the vehicle there an extra week because I was away on travel. They even insisted on giving me a ride to town, instead of me calling a cab. So thoughtful! And today I was there with a tiny issue about a rubber seal coming loose. They welcomed me like an old friend, and fixed it for free while I waited. Genuinely the nicest most welcoming folks you could meet. You will feel good about bringing your vehicle to them for repair. read more

I had a couple body repairs that were needed. Heard good things about this shop so went with them. I was very pleased with the service. Felt like I was driving a new car off the lot. read more

The quality of work at Autosmith is amazing. Recently retired from the Carmel area to Calaveras county, I was astounded that the quality of the work at Autosmith meets or exceeds that of body shops in the home of the Pebble Coucourse de Elegance. Usually body shop experiences entail some accident and are trying at best, but all the folks at Autosmith are knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly and certainly made the whole experience a pleasure. In my opinion, if you had to drive a few hours to them, it would definitely be worth it. read more

While traveling across the country, we blew an inside tire on our Ford F450 pickup truck. The damage to the body was substantial. We asked locals for body shop recommendations were told the staff at Autosmith were not just auto body repairmen, but artists. We found that to be true. The front desk woman and the owner of the shop were very helpful and recognized our need for fast repair since this was our only vehicle. They worked directly with our insurance company, ordered parts and got our truck in for repairs within a week. They were kind enough to ferry us back to the campground on drop-off, and picked us up when the repairs were complete. Not only was the repair job perfect, but they cleaned the truck inside and out and waxed it too. On top of it all, they tested our "check engine sensor" at no charge. We highly recommend AutoSmith. read more
